As the types of radio equipment becomes more complex and diversified in various fields, radio interference occurs frequently. In the domestic situation where the territory is narrow, many systems are deployed in a specific highland with a good radio wave environment. Radar systems that transmit high power signals of the same band are sometimes deployed and operating at close distance. In this paper, the type of interference was classified for the actual radio wave interference phenomenon and appropriate signal interference parameters were derived. The power density of the interference signal was predicted using the analysis method and the effectiveness was verified through measurement. And, we propose a method to minimize interference by analyzing operating scenarios of interferer radar and victim radar.

Linearity is the one of the most important features for analog-optic transmission system. In our research, the available bandwidth for the feed-forward compensation circuit is enhanced by using a 180 hybrid coupler in the circuit. The bandwidth having the decreased 3rd-order intermodulation distortion(IMD3) over 10 dB is extended over 200 MHz with the center frequency of 1.6 GHz. We performed an efficient bandwith measurement for the feed-forward compensation system, which uses the network analyzer instead of the traditional measuring system that uses two RF signal generators and the spectrum analyzer. We identify the usefulness of this method from experimental results. In this study, we used cheap digital-purpose laser diodes for economical aspect, which proves the efficiency of the proposed analog system. The spurious-free dynamic range is improved about 6 dB/Hz.

A amplitude modulation(AM) range measuring system utilizes the phase difference of the modulated envelope of the reflected signal to measure the distance. It is known that the AM system has a problem in accuracy due to antenna leakage signals and spurious reflection signals, but an AM range measurement system using an active reflector, which shifts the frequency bands, has been proposed in order to minimize the measurement errors due to spurious signals. In this paper, a new phase measurement module for the AM range measurement system, which enables to measure long distance with good accuracy, is proposed. The modulation frequency is alternatively selected between 8 and 1 MHz, and the measured distance range with this module is up to 150 m within 2 cm accuracy. A JK flip-flop circuit is used for higher phase accuracy, and an XOR circuit is used to cover long distance.
Studies were conducted to determine the efficiency of decondensation protocols. Sperm obtained from seven normal donors was immediately washed after liquefaction and then decondensed using the method of West et al. (1989) and my original protocol. My optimized protocol entailed mixing 1 ml aliquots of semen with 4 ml phosphate buffered saline (PBS). Following centrifugation, pellets were resuspended in 1 ml PBS containing 6 mM EDTA. After centrifugation, pellets were resuspended in 1 ml PBS containing 2 mM dithiothreitol at $37^{\circ}C$ for 45 min. Following mixing with 2 ml PBS and centrifugation, pellets were resuspended by vortexing. While vortexing, 5 ml of fixative were gently added. Slide preparation was accomplished using the smear method and it was stored at $4^{\circ}C$. When comparing these protocols, the degree of sperm decondensation and head swelling was monitored by measuring nuclear length, area, perimeter, and degree of roundness using FISH analysis software. Apparent copy number for chromosome 1 and, separately, for the sex chromosomes was determined by FISH using satellite DNA probes for loci DIZ1, DXZ1 and DYZ3. Sperm treated by my decondensation protocol showed significant increases (p<0.05) in length, area, perimeter, and degree of roundness. There was a significant decrease (p<0.05) in the frequency of nuclei displaying no signal but no change in the frequency of nuclei with two signals in samples decondensed by my protocol. My data suggested that decondensation using my original protocol may lower the frequency of cells with spurious "nullisomy" due to hybridization failure without inducing spurious "disomy" resulting from increased distances between split signals.
In a wireless communication RF transmitter, the output of a quadrature modulator (QM) is distorted by not only the linear imperfection features such as in/quadrature-phase (I/Q) input gain imbalance, local phase imbalance, and local gain imbalance but also the nonlinear imperfection features such as direct current (DC) offset and mixer nonlinearity related to in-band spurious signal. In this paper, we propose the unified QM model to analyze the combined effects of the linear and nonlinear imperfection features on the performance of the QM. The unified QM model consists of two identical nonlinear systems and modified I/Q inputs based on the two-port nonlinear mixer model. The unified QM model shows that the output signals can be expressed by mixer circuit parameters such as intercept point and gain as well as the imperfection features. The proposed approach is validated by not only simulation but also measurement.

We demonstrate a $2.1\;{\times}\;1.0\;{\times}\;0.1cm^3$ sized compact transmitter using LTCC System-in-Package (SiP) technology for 60GHz-band wireless communication applications. For low-attenuation characteristics and resonance suppression of the SiP, we have proposed and demonstrated a coplanar double wire-bond transition and novel CPW-to-stripline transition integrating air-cavities as well as novel air-cavities embedded CPW line. The fabricated transmitter achieves an output of 13dBm at a RF frequency of 62GHz, an IF frequency of 2.4GHz, and a LO frequency of 59.6GHz. The up-conversion gain is 11dB, while the LO signal is suppressed with the image rejection mixer below -21.4dBc, and the image and spurious signals are also suppressed below -31dBc.

This paper describes the measured results of sonobuoy transmitting antenna system for anti-submarine warfare (ASW). Since radiation pattern and power density depend on impedance matching between transmitting RF part and antenna with termination resistance, design of matching circuit is very important for sonobuoy system performance. Matching circuit is designed by Smith chart using control of L and C. In standing wave ratio(SWR) measurement using Network Analyzer, SWR of antenna with matching circuit observed 1.5 below at the assigned VHF band. It shows very excellent performance comparison with conversional product that is used for the same object. The measured vertical and horizontal radiation patterns are also shown the satisfaction of military specifications. A drop out of sonobuoy system on the sea is happened when angle of elevation direction is over 10 degrees, and it is conformed that it takes less than I second return to original signal level. The required electric power density is $83\;mW/m^2$ in the military specification, and measured electric power density is observed over average $110\;mW/m^2$ at all frequency bands.

CDMA(code division multiple access) has very large peak to average power ratio(PAR) and behave as noise-like wide band digital signals with 1.2288 Mbps transmission rate. For signals with high PAR like CDMA, it is reasonable to prescribe occupied bandwidth(OBW) as average occupied bandwidth. Bandwidth measurements of CDMA signals at remote site are affected by co-channel and adjacent channel interference from adjacent CDMA base station, distortion of signal by fading effect, spurious emission and environment noises. In this study, we have compared OBW measurements in an on-air environment with those measured in a base station using adjacent channel leakage ratio(ACLR) as a reference measurement factor. As results of analysis, the OBW at ACLR$\geq$35 ㏈ shows nearly same statistical characteristics regardless of the measurement locations and environments.
A 440MHz wireless and passive surface acoustic wave (SAW) based micro-sensor was developed for simultaneous measurement of temperature and humidity. The developed sensor is composed of a SAW reflective delay lines structured by an IDT (Inter-Digital Transducer), four reflectors and humidity sensitive film (polyimide). Polyimide was dry-ecthed by RIE (Reactive Ion Etching) to obtain high roughness, which gives the large reaction area resulting in high sensitivity. In wireless testing using a network analyzer, sharp reflection peaks with high S/N ratio, small signal attenuation, and few spurious peaks were observed in the time domain. High sensitivity towards the temperature and humidiy were also observed in the large concentration range. The obtained sensitivity was $16.8^{\circ}/^{\circ}C$ for temperature sensor and $15.8^{\circ}$/%RH for humidity sensor.

An accurate gain-of-two amplifier, which successfully reduces the capacitor mismatch error is proposed. This amplifier has similar circuit complexity and linearity improvement to the capacitor error-averaging technique, but operates with two clock phases just like the conventional pipeline stage. This makes it suitable for high-speed, high-resolution analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). Two ADC architectures employing the proposed accurate gain-of-two amplifier are also presented. The simulation results show that the proposed ADCs can achieve 15-bit linearity with 8-bit capacitor matching.
