스프레드시트는 사용하기 쉽기 때문에 가장 널리 사용되는 프로그래밍 도구이지만, 아직까지 스프레드시트 응용프로그램 개발에 객체지향 기술을 적용하려는 시도는 상대적으로 적었다. 일반적으로 스프레드시트 응용프로그램은 내부에 많은 오류를 포함하고 있으며, 재사용성이 낮고, 유지 보수가 어려운 단점을 가지고 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 XCEL이라는 객체지향 스프레드시트를 소개한다. XCEL은 스프레드시트 응용프로그램을 체계적으로 개발하기 위한 데이타 모델링 방법과 스프레드시트에서 객체지향 프로그래밍을 표현하기 위한 방법을 지원한다. XCEL은 데이타 모델링에서 XML과 플로우차트를 이용해서 클래스를 정의하고, 스프레드시트에서는 연속된 셀들의 영역을 이용해서 객체들을 표현한다. XCEL을 이용하면 스프레드시트 응용프로그램 개발에 객체지향 기술들을 그대로 적용할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

A spreadsheet is a office automation software which has been widely used in almost all areas in business. A spreadsheet is used for calculation, data analysis, model building and so on. As a result, spreadsheet is a very important tool for generating knowlege in a firm. Errors in a spreadsheet model can cause a serious financial damage in a corporation. However in Korea few researches for reducing errors have been performed. Neither serious efforts to reduce errors have been executed by corporations. In this research we provided summarized the results from a survey for spreadsheet usage, summarized researches on errors in spreadsheet up to now, and suggested a rules and structured development method for reducing errors in a spreadsheet. Errors in spreadsheets are prevalent. To solve this serious problem, we need much more attention on this problem in research area. Corporations must put more efforts on setting policies and rules. And also we need the government's concern and support.

A study on ventilation design using the spreadsheet model is carried out to propose means of available design. A sample of complex ventilation system In the non-standard condition Is used to illustrate thins spreadsheet model. In developing the spreadsheet model, this study has attempted to it general by using computional equations and design parameters that can be readily applied to any spreadsheet software. Also, most design data is contained in the spreadsheet template. This template provides the same design information as the ACGIH worksheet, and operates Quickly and emclenuy, and is fiexible enough to use under different conditions. This spreadsheet model allows the ventilation engineer to design quickly and accurately the ventilation system, without spending too much effort In the design process. By storing on computer and diskette, the design data computed finally can be used as a permanent record of specific ventilation system, and because of finally to be able to design over and over again while making only slight changes to the Input data, the spreadsheet model is used availably to accomplish the design optimazation by redesign and troubleshooting by review from field measurements. Also, the spreadsheet model is available for designing ventilation system under different condition or evaluating existing system or design drawing, because changes In the layout or formulae can be readily made to fit the needs of the designer.

This paper presents a case study regarding a simple accounting information analysis method through the practical design using spreadsheet tool-Excel, which can offer to the management with more useful and practical information for the management decision-making. In this study, spreadsheet program is used to constitute case of the accounting information analysis method. Spreadsheet tool-Excel is easy to analyze the accounting information. And it can constitute a necessary program through function menu. In conclusion, the spreadsheet program should be used for quantitative analysis and evaluation on the accounting information. And it should be used to perform management activities. The results of this study may be summarized as follows: First, it is possible to constitute useful and practical case in the accounting information analysis method with spreadsheet program. Second, this study proposes directions for the accounting information analysis method with spreadsheet program.

New attempt has been made on Management Science (MS) education since the end of 1990s. The most distinctive feature of the new attempt is using spreadsheet program like Excel as a teaching tool for MS course. The spreadsheet program gives an excellent tool for modeling and solvina MS problems. In order to improve the pedagogical effect through using the spreadsheet program for MS course, new teaching model based on spreadsheet encompassing new course contents, effective instruction method, and examination method is needed. For this purpose, professors teaching MS should share their own teaching experiences and methods. So this paper explains remarkable functions of Excel and how to use them for the MS tools. This paper also stresses the importance of team project and case study to improve the effect of MS education through the use of Excel and presents some tips on MS education.

Qis 이미지 스프래드쉬트(Qis Image Spreadsheet) 환경은 멀티기가 바이트-다차원 멀티 미디어 데이터집합(multi-dimensional multimedia datasets)들의 비쥬얼라이제이션(visualization)을 수행하는데 매우 효과적이다. Qis는 프레임스택(framestack)을 이용하여 많은 양의 멀티미디어 데이터들을 집약적으로 압축하고 3차원 구조로 빠르게 구성할 수 있을 뿐 아니라 효과적으로 관리할 수 있다. 과학분야의 다양한 실험을 통해서도, Qis가 각 프레임 (frame)의 빠른 랜더링(rendering), 2-D 및 3-D그래픽 디스플레이, 다차원 데이터집합의 분석 등을 수행할 수 있는 우수한 상호작용 비쥬얼 툴(interactive visual browsing tool)임을 입증하였다.

비쥬얼라이제이션 스프레드쉬트(visualization spreadsheet)는 다차원 데이터집합의 다양한 비쥬얼라이제이션(visualization)환경 지원에 매우 효과적이다. 본 논문에서는 대용량 멀티미디어 데이터집합을 효율적으로 유지관리하고 동적 재구성할 수 있는 멀티미디어 스프레드쉬트 모델을 설계하였다. 제안한 모델은 실시간 재구성 가능한 셀단위 이차원 스프레드쉬트의 토대에 셀마다 프레임스택을 구비하였다. 이상의 구성으로 스프레드쉬트의 각 셀은 3차원 데이터구조로 구성된 것과 동일한 효과를 갖는다. 제안한 모델은 1) 대용량 데이터집합의 효율적인 구성 및 관리, 2) 사용자요구에 부응하는 셀구조의 실시간 재구성, 3) 사용자와 시스템 간 인터렉티브 유저인터페이스의 장점을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 데이터집합의 그래픽랜더링을 통하여 제안한 모델이 우수한 인터렉티브 멀티미디어용 비쥬얼 툴임을 증명하였다.

스프레드시트는 표, 그래프 기능 그리고 셀 참조 기능을 가지고 있고, 이러한 기능은 모델링 활동에서 중요한 역할을 한다. 이 글에서는 스프레드시트를 활용한 수학적 모델링 활동에서의 수학적 규칙의 발견과 이의 정당화 과정을 알아보고자 한다. 이를 위해 스프레드시트 환경이 특정 문제 상황의 해결에 어떻게 도움을 주는 지 알아보고, 어떻게 특정한 문제 상황을 일반적인 문제 상황으로 바꿀 수 있도록 하는지를 알아본다. 또한 문제 상황 속에 내재하는 수학적 규칙의 발견에 이르는 과정을 알아보고, 발견한 규칙의 정당화 유형과 스프레드시트가 정당화에 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 알아본다.

In this paper we examine potentials of a spreadsheet program, one of the most widly available software system, as a mathematical optimization modeling tool. For an illustrative example, a shortest path problem is modeled on Lotus-123 for practical use and an implementational framework and a general guide to the spreadsheet modeling of network analysis is provided.
