  • In MC-CDMA systems effects of delay spread of the channel are reduced with increased symbol duration by simultaneously transmitting data symbols on the parallel subcarriers. However, the increased symbol duration causes the system to be more vulnerable to time selective fading. In other words, although MC-CDMA systems are robust against frequency selective fading in a multipath environment, they are sensitive to Doppler spread and hence inter-carrier interference is increased. In this paper, we investigate the effects of time selective fading characteristics of the mobile channel from the viewpoint of desired signal power to inter-carrier interference power ratio at the combiner output of the MC-CDMA receiver.

Performance of cellular hybrid DS/FH spread spectrum systems with diversity on nakagami fading channel (나카가미 페이딩 채널하에서 다이버시티를 갖는 셀룰러 하이브리드 DS/FH 확산대역 시스팀의 성능)

  • In this paper, we analyze the anynchrous cellular hybrid DS/FH spread spectrum system with diversity on nonselective Nakagami fading channel. Binary Psk scheme is considered and random spreading code sequences and random hopping patterns are used. We compare the performance of system using hard-limiting correlation receiver with diversity and linear corrleation receiver in Nakagami fading channel. We compute the average bit error probabilities with/without diversity according to spreading code sequence and the number of hop-ping frequencies under the same handwith espansion, and analyze near-far effect. The results show that hard-limiting correlation receiver with diversity gives a good performance over severe fading channel.

  • There are Carrier Current Communication or Power line Carrier (PLC) Communication conducted data exchange using power line Which is installed existing indoor. Power line is possible to construct data link economically, on the other hand, have an inferior transmission environment such as irregular noise and severe level variation. The purpose of this paper is to present transmission possibility for PLC using spread spectrum technique. In the initial synchronization, established computer simulation for the S/N in relation to PN code generator. By using this result, construct the prototype SS system and then experiment the transmission characteristics.

  • DS/CDMA system rejected narrow-band interference and additional White Gaussian noise which are occured at multipath, intentional jammer and multiuser to share same bandwidth in mobile communication systems. Because of having not sufficiently obtained processing gain which is related to system performance, they were not effectively suppressed. In this paper, an matched filter channel model using backpropagation neural network based on complex multilayer perceptron is presented for suppressing interference of narrow-band of direct sequence spread spectrum receiver in DS/CDMA mobile communication systems. Recursive least square backpropagation algorithm with backpropagation error is used for fast convergence and better performance in matched filter receiver scheme. According to signal noise ratio and transmission power ratio, computer simulation results show that bit error ratio of matched filter using backpropagation neural network improved than that of RAKE receiver of direct sequence spread spectrum considering of con-channel and narrow-band interference.

  • In this paper, we present narrowband interference (NBI) cancelling algorithm applied to wideband spread spectrum system. We introduce multi-carrier transmission technique to overcome hardware inplementation difficulty of wideband spreading above 40MHz and to enhance NBI performance. A direct-sequence spread spectrum receiver using both decision-feedback and two sided LMS filters for combating narrowband interference is applied. We show that performance of this receiver outperforms conventional NBI rejection systems in tone jamming, partial band jamming, and impulsive channel through the bit error ratio evaluation. In addition, we propose a new technique to improve the performance of time domain NBI rejection algorithm sensitive to impulsive channel.

  • Adaptive correlator receiver with neural network based on complex multilayer perceptron is persented for suppressing interference of narrow-band of direct spread spectrum communication systems. Recursive least square algorithm with backpropagation error is used for fast convergence and better performance in adaptive correlator scheme. According to signal noise and transmission power, computer simulation results show that bit error ratio of adaptive correlator using neural network improved that of adative transversal filter of direct sequence spread spectrum considering of jamming and narrow-band interference. Bit error ratio of adaptive correlator with neural network is reduced about 10-1 than that of adaptive transversal filter where interference versus signal ratio is 5dB.

  • The performance of tau-dither loop (TDL) is evaluated for a direct-sequence spread-spectrum system in a multipath fading channel. The multipath fading channel is modeled as a two-ray rayleight fading channel. The code tracking perfomrance of TDL is analyzed in terms of tracking jitter and mean-tiem-to-lose-lick (MTLL). The tracking jitter performance is degraded while MTLL perfomrance is improved with increasing discriminator offset and decreasing power ratio of main to second paths. It is shown that for a large bit SNR, the effect of multipath fading becomes more significant. And it is also shown that tracking jitter and MTLL performance is less sensitive to delay spacing and discriminator offset for a small bit SNR than for a large bit SNR.

  • Recently, novel viral infections such as COVID-19 have spread and pose a serious public health problem. In particular, these diseases have a fatal effect on the elderly, threatening life and causing serious social and economic losses. Accordingly, applications such as telemedicine, healthcare, and disease prevention using the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) have been introduced in many industries to improve disease detection, monitoring, and quarantine performance. However, since existing technologies are not applied quickly and comprehensively to the sudden emergence of infectious diseases, they have not been able to prevent large-scale infection and the nationwide spread of infectious diseases in society. Therefore, in this paper, we try to predict the spread of infection by collecting various infection information with regional limitations through a virus disease information collector and performing AI analysis and severity matching through an AI broker. Finally, through the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, danger alerts are issued to the elderly, messages are sent to block the spread, and information on evacuation from infected areas is quickly provided. A realistic elderly support system compares the location information of the elderly with the information of the infected area and provides an intuitive danger area (infected area) avoidance function with an augmented reality-based smartphone application. When the elderly visit an infected area is confirmed, quarantine management services are provided automatically. In the future, the proposed system can be used as a method of preventing a crushing accident due to sudden crowd concentration in advance by identifying the location-based user density.
