The purpose of this study is to analyze whether spreadsheet-used instruction can improve statistical thinking ability and attitude and also to identify what characteristics of statistical thinking is constructed. For this study, a subject of 2 classes were randomly selected among the 12 classes of the 11th grader in D high school and designated one class as the experimental group and the other class as the control group. Eight hours of the spread sheet-used instruction and the traditional textbook-oriented instruction had been carried out in each class. The research findings are as follows. First, the spread sheet-used instruction is shown to be more effective in enhancing statistical thinking than the traditional textbook-oriented instruction. Second, the spread sheet-used instruction is shown to be more effective in improving statistical attitude than the traditional textbook-oriented instruction. Third, students have shown the various characteristics of statistical thinking in the data descriptive process, data arrange-summary process, data representing process, and data analying process through the spread sheet-used instructions. Hence, the spread sheet-used instruction is recommended in teaching statistics.

This study is conducted for prevent spread of penetration water and water leakage through non-woven fabric between PVC sheet and PVC sheet in the PVC composite waterproofing sheet of a multi-layer structure. For this, carry out absorption amount test to confirm spread resistance performance after manufacturing PVC composite waterproofing sheet of a multi-layer structure using water-repellency processed non-woven fabric. As a result of test, weight of water-repellency processed non-woven fabric increased to 1.178g, Compared with beginning and there are not penetration water.

The structure of the prism sheet and the reflective polarizer sheet in the direct - illumination liquid crystal display (LCD) backlight is optimized and fabricated. The apex angle of the prism sheet was changed from 90 degree to 96.5 and 101.5 degree and the angular spread of the diffuser films attached on the reflective polarizer sheet was changed from 7 to 1.5 degrees. The measured view angle, the normal luminance, and the contrast ratio from the optimized backlight unit showed improved optical performances.

According to the operation guide book concerning the educations of Information Communication, Art for Primary and Middle school issued by Ministry of Education, Korea, 2001, it revealed many things as to an Spread Sheet's paradigm, that is, as to an useful program in Science, Practical course, Moral, Physical education and Society. However it can be said that the existing Spread Sheet is more or less unconvenience to use for pupils. Because most of pupils generally feel constrained to the functional formula and also when a complicated menu of Spread Sheet would be made the most of it. Moreover, from a certain point of view, it is somewhat too difficult to use the program as they feel intuitionally taking a look at it. This very thesis in order to support a part of probability and statistics for pupils were observed sincerely.

The effects of intermetallic compound growt on the sheet resistance and soldreability as functions of the aging time, the temperature, and the conditions of substrates have been investi-gated in the electroplallic compound (mainy Cu6Sn5and Ni3Sn4) and the number of phase interface increased, the sheet resistance increased. Spread tests showed that the solderability was dereased with the intermetallic compounds growth and increased with the thickness of electroplated Sn. The surface morphology or agin size of the compound layer singificantly affect the solderability. The solderability of Sn/Ni system was superiot to Sn/Ni system was sperior to that of Sn/Cu system and the intermetallic compounds growth was solwer in the former system.

Every structure has the expected life span of its own and it has to be rebuilt. New buildings were preferred and put value a quantitative spread of apartment houses because of the rapid growth of national economy. Therefore, the apartment houses were not taken into consideration about maintenances. Carbon fiber sheet is widely used to strengthen old structural members but it is very rarely applied to a construction field for apartment houses. The purpose of this study is to develop effective strengthening methods for reinforced concrete columns using carbon fiber sheets. Eight reinforced concrete column specimens confined by carbon fiber sheet of uniaxial direction were tested using 10,000kN universal testing machine (UTM).

An experimental investigation of smoke spread in a corridor is made using thermocouples and visualization technique with a laser beam sheet. A speed of smoke front under a ceiling is measured by thermocouple trees. Visualization of the ceiling jet formation and of smoke filling process is carried out to observe lowering of the smoke layer. From the results, a large-scale convective motion the corridor plays dominant roles for smoke spread from visualized photos together with temperature records. A circulating motion of fluid transports some smokes to some regions where its momentum is effective. It is therefore showed that the conventional concept of lowering smoke with two-layer zone model has some restrictions for the corridor because the lowering of smoke layer has been thought to be mass transport due to relatively small scale motion such as decrease of buoyancy, mass diffusion and momentum exchange.

This study is to design and implement Excel 2000 WBI applying the Cognitive Apprentice Model. Excel 2000 is the most used Spread Sheet program and indispensable for increasing teachers' information literacy. The Cognitive Apprentice Model is one of Constructivism learning models. Constructivism is a new educational paradigm and mainly applied in education fields. This WBI is designed and implemented according to the Cognitive Apprentice Model and composed of practical contents according to Constructivism learning principle which insists learning is occurred in real situation. For more effective interaction the teacher(computer) guides the learners individually and uses a bulletin board, E-mail and chatting room.
