Public sports facilities, which have increased in number due to continued government attention and investment, are used by a large number of residents in the province. However, the safety management in some facilities is limited due to being carried out with reference to safety management standard manuals as a mere formality. The purpose of this study was to analyze the current safety management status of public sports facilities in Gangwon and to seek out a policy direction that can be used safely by provincial residents. To this end. the study made a comprehensive review of central government and Gangwon government policy trends in sports facility safety management in Gangwon along with actual cases, from which it made the following suggestions for policy directions. First, it proposed the designation and operation of specialized institutions using locally established development and municipal companeie,. universities and cooperatives. and the training and fostering of safety managers for sports facilities. Secod, it proposed the establishment of a foundation to promote a sport facility safety culture such as designation of and commendation for excellent facility safety management on the provincial level. holding case presentations on safety and responsiveness. sports safety experience plazas, sports safety classes, and cartoons for public relations. Third, it proposed setting the foundation for a safety management system that takes into account the greater quantity of leisure sports facilities compared to other cities and provinces. Fourth, it proposed the establishment of an institutional basis to establish support ordinance for sports facility safety management that meets the local conditions in Gangwon. Fifth, it proposed safety management measures for sports facilities at the central government level in parallel with a basic plan for sports facility safety management tailored to Gangwon that matches the conditions on the ground in the region.

The purpose of this study was to develop a Body & Mind Integration Program that combines yoga and tea meditation, and to prove the fact that it can enhance the happiness for middle-aged housewives. In order to do that, it was devised for a one-group pretest-posttest design and implemented a pretest, a treatment(that was a 12-session program), and a posttest. The results of the 16 middle-aged housewives were used to prove the effect of this program. The main results of this study are as follows: First, physical self-concept(t=-4.609, p<.001), mindful attention awareness(t=-2.804, p<.05) and tea life practices(t=-4.748, p<.001) of the middle-aged housewives have been improved after the implementation of Body & Mind Integration Program. Secondly, the Body & Mind Integration Program has provided the chance for the middle-aged housewives to newly recognize their physical and psychological ability so that they can appreciate their lives more happily and realized their inner strength. In the final analysis, it is the task for all of us to develop and supply the kind of program which helps the middle-aged housewives not only to keep the efforts for their healthy body & mind, but also to get rid of the negative feelings and tensions which happen from personal relationships so that they can find happiness in their lives continuously.

This research aimed to determine how a combined yoga and tea meditation program would affect the happiness of adolescents. The investigation was conducted over a total of 11 sessions held twice a week with 15 female middle-school students. Each session lasted 90 min and comprised preparation for 5 min, Hatha yoga for 50 min, tea meditation for 15 min, the expression of feelings for 15 min, and 5 min were allocated to finishing the program and announcing the next session time. A t-test was performed before and after the program to analyze the effects of the program. A goodness of fit test, which is related to the improvement of happiness, was done through a path analysis. As a result, we were able to determine meaningful changes in the t-test scores of happiness, stress, and quality of life. The scores of mindfulness, physical self-concept, and self efficiency changed positively, but meaningful changes were not shown. To derive a final conclusion, we verified the mediator effect with respect to happiness through a structural model. Consequently, physical self-concept was activated as a promoter for improving self-efficiency and mindfulness. Mindfulness was the key factor that improved the happiness of the adolescent subjects.

This study aims to provide the basic materials for the development of leisure and tourism contents in connection with Osaek cableway for the revitalization of Osaek District. For such a purpose, the following policy directions were presented through the analysis of the present situation and conditions of Osaek District, the direction of development of leisure and tourism contents of Osaek District, etc. The first is increasing the participation of local residents and reinforcing their capabilities. The suggested promotion plans are ① establishing organizational system and strengthening support, ② reinforcing the capabilities of local residents and ③ constructing networks with external human resources. The second is setting the guidelines for contents development. It was proposed to prepare contents for leisure experience using the natural environment of Osaek District in response to the trend of increase of people who enjoy "contents using culture and arts" and leisure. The third is typological approach to contents. It was proposed to develop cultural contents with the theme of Osaek such as "Osaek Light Festival", "Osaek Concert", "Osaek Photo Exhibition" and "Osaek Good Men and Women Contest" for the promotion of the brand of the place name of Osaek and the creation of the "Picture Book Village" for the compilation of the history and culture of Osaek District with pictures. The fourth is securing marketing channels. For this, it was proposed to produce the website of Yangyang County or a website tentatively named as "Osaek-ri with Beautiful Osaek" and introduce an integrated travel product (transportation + lodging + foods + experience (hot spring, mineral water therapy, leisure experience, etc.) + purchasing local specialty products, etc.) composed of the leisure and tourism contents, transportation, lodging, foods, etc. of Osaek District through travel agencies. The final policy direction presented was phased implementation of the development and operation of the contents. Proposed policies include support of a consulting project to upgrade the organization of local residents; implementation of "Tourism Dure (Cooperative)" project for the solution of the problem of tourism in Osaek District by the residents themselves together using the space of culture and arts made by remodeling idle public and private facilities after benchmarking exemplary places; system improvement for the introduction of leisure and tourism contents appropriate for local conditions; and the establishment of a master plan for the introduction of various leisure and tourism contents in Osaek District.
The purpose of this study is to examine the state of the character fashion which is worn everyday by people regardless of their sex, class, and age after the 1960's, and to look at its significance. Under the influence of mass media, TV, film, comic and popular music exercised its power over the modern living after the 1960's. Such culture has its character in youth, aspiration of wide spread and overflow of the visual image. While active life style and increase of time spent on sports and leisure created the casual trend in fashion. In addition to Pop Art leads to the usage of sign and symbol on clothes, and this created a trend called 'character fashion'. Character fashion can be divided into 'motive' and 'expression'. Motive then is segmented by the 'person' that includes an impersonated figure and 'symbol' of picture or figure with a special meaning. However, expression can be classified by 'one's belonging' which can be a sports team, school or a group. Also, by the 'message' of the phrase or letter. The meaning contained in character fashion by the various motive and expression can be classified as unisex, ego screaming, and escapism.
Purpose - Sports and the media have been developed together through a close relationship. During the past decade, the media landscape and the coverage of sports events have been changed. Sports fans can use the sports content at the time they want, on the platform they prefer. Furthermore, thanks to the advanced information technology, sports fans are likely to be more engaged in sport in communication technology-friendly stadium. However, the literature on the relationship between sports and the media has heavily focused on the differences of media types, clear distinction between media suppliers and consumers, and the limited media extension. Given the limitation of prior research, therefore, it has not fully reflected the change in society and culture, the importance of media recipients or consumers, and the mediating characteristic of the media. In order to generate further insights for sport media related industry and its society, it is necessary to comprehend the contemporary phenomena of real world situation in new media and sport and to discuss how new media influence sport and how their relationship is changing in managerial context. The purpose of this study is to identify new media cases as distribution channels in sports context and is to develop insights by discussing its role and meaning of new media in sport society. Research design, data, and methodology - The study employed the theory-centered review and case analysis. In order to explain phenomena of the role of new media in contemporary sport and to generate related insights in sport context, the study reviewed the new media cases applied in sport industry and interpreted their meaning by employing medium theory, remediation theory, and new media theory. Results - The study discussed the limitation of prior sport media research and identified the characteristics of sport as new media such as remediating, extending sensory organs, reiterating physical space and electronic space. Conclusions - The study derived the characteristics of sport as new media, in a sport setting, and through sports settings. Findings would assist to comprehend the role of new media in spectating sport and provide insights for sport media study.
With respect to the growth and development of innocity from improvements in leisure environments, this research examines the factors that affect the level of satisfaction of innocity leisure environments to propose political implications. In order to do so, 43 leisure activities were chosen, and the level of importance of those activities to the residents prior to moving to the innocity was compared to the level of satisfaction the residents felt regarding the activities after moving. As a result, 13 activities, including literature attendance, had greater levels of satisfaction after moving than the levels of importance prior to moving. The rest (30) activities showed the opposite results. We deduced the factors that affect the level of satisfaction by performing logistic regression analysis on 3 dependent variables. As a result, the static and passive leisure activities had higher satisfactory levels, whereas the dynamic and active had lower satisfactory levels. Thus, innocity must develop culture facilities quickly, expand exercise facilities to support sports activties, and promote tourism by improving and networking with tourist attractions in order to improve future satisfactory levels of leisure activities.
Recently, the demand for pubic welfare has been expended to the comprehensive services terms of cultural, medical and psychological aspects and provision of information. These various demands for welfare services to improve citizens'quality of life could be effectively met by an integrated community center covered small regions rather than many existing individual institutions focused on specific services covered wide regions. The purpose of this study was to develop the activity programs for a proposed new millennium community center The activity programs classified into five types (administrative services; information and counselling; health and sports; leisure and culture; and child care and educational services) and each type included various unique activity programs not only for specific age groups but also for all age groups. In order to operate a new millennium community center effectively, the legal supports and systematic organizations to manage the community center should be required. Discussions and recommendations for these issues were included in the study.
This study examines that how can we pursuit the happiness through sport activities. For achieves this purpose, focusing specifically on what is happiness, physical happiness process and psychological happiness process. Therefore, this study was started that sport have an influence of individual's physical and psychological health. The conclusions of this study are like that: Individual's participation in sport is very important. Sport experience requires understanding of inherent meaning attached to sport and ongoing efforts to acquire wisdom to capitalize on sport in an appropriate manner. Sport experience should be deemed as a means of serious activities and pursuit of happiness. In sport participants, someone's age is not meaningful. As getting old, a sport participate rates and happiness are increasing. Especially, In aging society, This facts are very meaningful. Therefore Sport participation is closely related to the perceived quality of life and happiness. It can be further suggested that physically active sport-leisure participation rather than passive or sedentary leisure involvement increases perceived quality of life and happiness. Happiness is life itself.

The purpose of this study was to analyse the properties of leisure activity and the life satisfaction in the case of Korea Science Academy(KSA) students and Min Jok Leadership Academy(MLA) students. The participants consisted of KSA students(male:122, female:44) and MLA students(male:71, female:113) with voluntary consent. We had achieved the following results. 1) For leisure activity, KSA and MLA's male students showed the highest ratio for participation in the sports, KSA's female students in the taste-culture activity and MLA's female students in the sight-seeing. 2) The response showed that stress treatment was the principal reason of leisure activity's need. 3) Over 50% of the male students were satisfied with the present leisure activity but 12% of the KSA male students and 14% of the MLA female 14% answered to the "unsatisfactory" or "very unsatisfactory". 4) Mental stress treatment showed the highest ratio in the response to the question asking the principal straight motive of leisure activity. 5) 75$\sim$80% students considered the leisure activity as an important means to maintain health and physical fitness. 6) Though most students participated in the activities with friends, 30% of the students answered that they participate by themselves. 7) It was shown that 51% and 40% of KSA male and female students, 40% of MLA male students and 48% of MLA female students participated in leisure Activity planlessly. 8) The average leisure time of the most students was less than 2 hours a day and Male students were observed to have more leisure time than female, and KSA students to have more time than MLA students. 9) In weekdays, KSA's male students enjoyed mostly the sport for leisure activity, but taste-culture activity showed the highest ratio in the case of MLA students and KSA female students. 10) In the case of male students, 38% of KSA and 54% students of MLA did not play computer game at all, and 70% of the female students in total did not play computer game. Also, the proper control-method was in need because the result showed that KSA's male students spent more time in playing computer game than MLA's male students did. 61% of KSA female students and 53% of MLA female students answered that they did not play compute game at all during weekends. Whereas It showed that 26% of KSA male students played computer game over 3 hours during weekends. 11) The biggest reason for being unable to participate in the leisure activity was the insufficiency of time due to homework or studying for quiz. The laziness also showed high percentage of 19$\sim$25% varying between the groups. 12) The life satisfaction of KSA male students was visibly higher(p<.05) than that of MLA male students but the significantly difference wasn't shown in the case of female students.
