This is a case report of spontaneous regression of elevated pulmonary vascular resistance after the age of 6 years in a patient with partial endocardial cushion defect. The patient was first evaluated and considered to be highly risky for surgical correction because of obstructive type of pulmonary hypertension and presisting congestive heart failure at the age of 6 years, during which time medical treatment for congestive heart failure and sufferring from respiratory infection were only provided. Finally the patient was reevaluated at the age of 16 years, in January of 1980 when cardiac catheterization was revealed markedly reduced pulmonary vascular resistance and pulmonary hypertension as well. The patient was operated upon with uneventful postoperative recovery. So we report this case with review of the literatures regarding natural history regarding natural history of partial endocardial cushion defect.

The authors report two cases of spontaneous regression of disc herniation at the level adjacent to the anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF) level. This phenomenon may be due to the increased tension on the posterior longitudinal ligament (PLL) by appropriate restoration of the disc height and lumbar lordosis, which is a mechanism similar to ligamentotaxis applied to the thoracolumbar burst fracture.

Greenberg(1990) suggested that organizational justice research may potentially explain many organizational behavior outcome variables. One example of nontraditional job behavior is service quality, for it is part of the spontaneous and innovative behaviors noted by Katz(1964). The first purpose of this research is to test the effects of organizational justice on service quality, and the second purpose is to test the moderating effects of sex and tenure on the relationships between organizational justice and service quality According to statistical analysis, only interactional justice had an impact on service quality. Also the results of moderating regression analysis showed that short term employees were more sensitive to distributive justice than long term employees. This result means short term employees are more interested In incentive system than long term employees.

Direct carotid-cavernous fistula [CCF] is a common post-traumatic disease. However, pseudoaneurysm formation after balloon occlusion is a rare complication. The author present such a case with review of the literature. A 26-year-old man involved in a motor vehicle accident as a driver. Only mild conjunctival injection and minimal exophthalmos on the right eye were noted after trauma. However, angiography revealed a direct CCF and dissection of the proximal intracranial internal carotid artery [ICA]. After first balloon occlusion of the CCF, the patient redeveloped fistula due to early deflation of the balloon. After the second balloon occlusion, pseudoaneurysm and diplopia were developed with the change of balloon position and shape. However, visual symptom spontaneously resolved and pseudoaneurysm was also decreased within 6 months after balloon occlusion.

The purpose of this study is to blow the characteristics of disfluency in childhood. The subjects were 144 normal children at the age of between 3 to 8 years who lived in Seoul. All the subjects provided spontaneous conversational speech samples during free-play interactions with their friends. We investigated the patterns and the frequency of disfluency and its relevance with subject's age, speaking rate and MLU(mean length of utterance). The results of this study can be summarized as follows. (1) There was no difference in the frequency of disfluency with the speaker's age or speaking rate. (2) Interjection was the most frequently occurring pattern of disfluency. (3) Prolongation, revision, interjection increased with age while part-word repetition, single-syllable word repetition, multi-syllable word repetition decreased gradually. (4) A significant effect of MLU on the frequency of disfluencies were demonstrated. The regression analysis has shown that more disfluencies occurred in utterances of children whose MLU is longer.

This benign canine histiocytoma was the most common single tumor type, followed lipoma, adenoma, soft tissue sarcoma, mast cell tumor and lymphosarcoma [2]. Canine cutaneous histiocytoma (CCH) most commonly occur as solitary lesions, head and pinnae are prefermential sites, that undergo spontaneous regression. The histologic appearance varies greatly, depending on the age of the lesion and the degree of necrosis and secondary inflammation. The age-specific incidence rate for CCH drops precipitously after 3 years, although histiocytomas occur in dogs of all ages [5]. Their etiology and pathogenesis are unknown. This case reports the gross and histopathological findings of canine cutaneous histiocytoma of observed in a young dog with localized calcification of lingual muscle. (omitted)

Germinoma is a rare central nervous system neoplasm in children and young adults. It is well known that a malignant primary neoplasm can be cured by conventional radiation therapy alone or reduced-volume and field irradiation in combination with chemotherapy. The authors report a very rare case of a pineal germinoma, which was completely disappeared after repeated diagnostic brain computed tomography(CT) with review of pertinent literature. There has been neither tumor recurrence nor metastasis during follow-up period.

서울에 거주하는 32세 가정주부가 좌하측 흉벽에 발생한 직경 약 3cm인 종괴를 제거하기 위하여 입원하였다. 종괴는 지난 3개월간 네번 켜졌다가 없어지고는 하였다. 수술 소견상 전거상근(전거상근)내에 육아종이 있었고 그 안에서 미성숙 간질 충체를 발견하였다. 이 증례를 우리나라의 인체 간질 감염 제11례로 보고한다. 간질의 이소기생중 가장 흔한 것으로 알려진 피하기생례로는 우리나라에서는 처음으로 경칩한 중례이며 앞으로 기생충성 피하종괴의 감별대상에 간질(간질) 감염도 고려하여야 한다고 생각한다.

Specific Language Impairment is one of the serious disorders that interferes with spontaneous communication skills in children. Children suffering from this disorder may have reading, speaking, or listening impairments, and such type of disorders are also termed Autism Speech Disorder (ASD) in medical terminology. The aim of the article is to define specific language impairment in children and the problems it can cause. The different methods adopted by speech pathologists to diagnose language impairment. Finally implementing machine learning models to automate the process and help speech pathologists and pediatricians/ in diagnosing the specific language impairment.

This study investigates how affects elicited by visual images in print ads are integrated to form a liking for the ads. Assuming a sequential rather than simultaneous processing of still-cut images, we adopt the 'think-aloud' method to capture consumers' spontaneous responses to visual images. We hypothesize that not only would consumers show mixed affects toward a still-cut visual image but that they would also integrate their serial affects heuristically rather than simply averaging the affects as suggested by the compensatory hypothesis. By comparing the effects of two contradictory affect integration hypotheses (i.e., peak-affect and mood-maintenance) with compensatory integration, using a single regression model, we found that peak-negative along with mood maintenance integration of serial affects for a print ad works best in the formation of ad liking. The results also support our initial premise that people can have mixed valence even toward a still-cut ad.
