Free-machining agent 'KSX' contains complex calcium oxide is developed. The effect of admix ratio of KSX on mechanical properties and machinability with two different cutting speeds is reported. KSX displays improved machinability without deterioration of mechanical properties up to 0.3mass% addition. It was observed that KSX is effective with a small addition of 0.1mass% at slower cutting speed, and increased of admix ratio is effective at faster cutting speed.

We proposed a new High-speed CMOS Level Up/Down Shifter circuits that can be used with Dynamic Voltage and Frequency Scaling(DVFS) algorithm, for low power system in the SoC(System-on-Chip). This circuit used to interface between the other voltage levels in each CMOS circuit boundary, or between multiple core voltage levels in a system bus. Proposed circuit have advantage that decrease speed attenuation and duty ratio distortion problems for interface. The level up/down shifter of the proposed circuit designed that operated from multi core voltages$(0.6\sim1.6V)$ to used voltage level for each IP at the 500MHz input frequency The proposed circuit supports level up shifting from the input voltage levels, that are standard I/O voltages 1.8V, 2.5V, 3.3V, to multiple core voltage levels in between of $0.6V\sim1.6V$, that are used internally in the system. And level down shifter reverse operated at 1Ghz input frequency for same condition. Simulations results are shown to verify the proposed function by Hspice simulation, with $0.6V\sim1.6V$ CMOS Process, $0.13{\mu}m$ IBM CMOS Process and $0.65{\mu}m$ CMOS model parameters. Moreover, it is researched delay time, power dissipation and duty ration distortion of the output voltage witch is proportional to the operating frequency for the proposed circuit.
Various studies have been conducted on pedestrian-level wind environments around buildings. With regard to the speed-up mechanism of pedestrian-level winds, there are references to downwash effect due to the vertical pressure gradient of boundary layer flow and venturi effect due to flow blocking by the building. Two factors contribute to increase or decrease of downwash effect: change in twodimensional / three-dimensional air flow pattern (Type 1) and change in downwash wind speed due to building size that does not accompany change in airflow pattern (Type 2). Previous studies have shown that downwash effect has a greater influence in increasing or decreasing the area of strong wind than venturi effect. However, these considerations are derived from the horizontal mean wind speed distribution at pedestrian level and are not the result of three-dimensional flow field around the building. Therefore, in this study, Computational Fluid Dynamics using Large Eddy Simulation were performed to verify the downwash phenomena that contributes to increase in wind speed at pedestrian level.

To cope with quest to improve the fuel economy and vehicle performance, Continuously Variable Transmission with Changing the speed ratio between minimum and maximum ratio by infinite step, is more efficient than conventional multi-ratio transmission. In this paper, to investigate a specific CVT shift ratio diagram and CVT shift characteristics, CVT vehicle was tested on the proving ground and chassis dynamometer. The test results are as follows; CVT can obtain the excellent vehicle performance and fuel economy changing the shift ratio by infinite step, without rapid change of engine revolution and driving force. And CVT can set up a special shift range that obtains not only the engine brake effect but also the maximum speed driving.

The liquid film behavior between two rotating rollers has been analyzed for many years. Their contributions were, however, limited almost within the areas of polymer laminar flow in there. When the slip contact of two rotating rollers is used as a role of vehicle to distribute the liquid discharged on to each roller after splitting from the nip, there was few available relationship to control the roller speed and to design system. On this work it was possible to get out a certain relationship between the discharged film thickness ratio and the roller surface seeds without any help of pressure limit at the splitting point. The hydrodynamic analyzation of Newtonian liquid behavior around the point was well proved on some manipulative experiment. The thickness ratio increases along with the roll surface speed ratio increases. And the discharged volume flow rate ratio on each roller surface varies with square of the speed ratio. Both of these relationship have a decision factor also made up by the speed ratio.
In this study, the effects of the various parameters of spinning and drawing processes on the properties of polyester full drawn yarn (FDY) prepared by steam processing during high-speed spinning were investigated using several techniques. The wet shrinkage ratio of the FDY was able to be manipulated by controlling the temperature and draw ratio. The FDY made using the steam high speed spinning technique exhibited identical properties (such as tenacity, elongation, and wet shrinkage ratio) to that of regular FDY, made using the spin-draw process. FDY prepared using the steam process during high-speed spinning showed excellent dyeability. The dye pick-up of the polyester yarn spun at high-speed spinning was found to be improved when dyed under an atmospheric pressure of $100^{\circ}C$. This result was the same as regular FDY dyed under a high pressure of $130^{\circ}C$.

In induction machine drive without a speed sensor, the estimation of the motor flux and speed often becomes deteriorated at low speeds with low back EMF. Our analysis shows that, in addition to the state resistance variation, the estimated value of field orientation angle is often corrupted by accumulative errors from the integration of voltage variables at motor terminals that have low signal/noise ratio at low frequencies. A repetitive loop path of integration in the feedback can amplify this type of error, thus speeding up the degradation process. The control system runs into information starvation due to the loss of correct field orientation. The machine's spiral vectors are controlled only in a reduced dimension in this situation. A novel control scheme is developed to improve the control performance of motor's current, torque and speed at low frequencies. The scheme gains a full-dimensional vector control and is less sensitive to the combined effect of the error sources at the low frequencies. Experimental tests demonstrate promising performances are achievable even below 0.5 Hz.

This paper presents the results of driving performance analysis of permanent magnet synchronous motor using a microprocessor based control system. The system consists of three phase power transistor inverters, three phase controlled rectifier, three central processing units, and sensors. The three CPUs are, respectively, used to generate PWM control signals for the inverter generating three phase sine wave, to generate the gate control signals for firing the converter, and to supervise other two CPUs. The supervisor is used to compute PI control algtorithm to three phase reference sine wave for the inverter. It is also used to maintain a constant voltage frequency ratio for the converter operating as a constant torque controller. The inverter CPU retrieves precomputed PWM patterns from look up tables because of computation speed limitations found in almost available microprocessors. The converter CPU also retrieves precomputed gate control patterns from another look-up tables. For protecting the control ststem from any damage by extraordinary over currents, the supervisor receives the data from current sensor, CT, and break down the CB to isolate the circuits from source. A resolver has a good performance characteristics of overall speed range, especially on low speed range. Therefor the speed control accuracy is impoved. The microprocessor based PM synchronous motor control system, thus, has many advantages such as constant torque characteristics, improvement of wave, limitation on extraordinary over currents, improvement of speed control accuracy, and fast response speed control using multi-CPU and look-up tables.

Recently, in order to achieve high flexibility of manufacture, monitoring and control strategies cf a new type have been developed. Since the generation of built-up edge on the cutting tool damages the surface finish of the workpiece, the monitoring system of built-up edge is an important process monitoring. In this study, the analyzing methods of cutting force signal to detect the built-up edge during cutting process are described. The cutting force signals are analyzed using the mean, standard deviation and mean to standard deviation of this cutting signals. We can obtain the guide to detect the built-up edge during turning process.
