Pressure Sensitive Paint의 성능비교 및 경사충돌분류의 압력장 측정 (Performance Comparison of Pressure Sensitive Paint and Pressure Field Measurement of Oblique Impinging Jet)

  • The pressure sensitive paint (PSP) has recently received a considerable attention in the fields of aerodynamics and fluid mechanics as a new revolutionary optical technique to measure pressure fields on a body surface. In this study, the feasibility and effectiveness of the PSP pressure field measurement technique have been investigated experimentally. Seven different PSP formulations including two porphyrins(PtOEP and PtTFPP) and four polymers(Polystyrene, cellulous acetate butyrate, GP-197 and Silicon-708) were tested to check the performance and characteristics of each combination. The static calibration of each PSP formulation was carried out in a constant-pressure chamber. The PSP technique was applied to an oblique impinging jet flow to measure variation of pressure field on the impinging plate at on oblique jet angle of ${\theta}=60^{\circ}$. Pressure field images were captured by an 12bit intensified CCD(ICCD, $1K{\times}1K$)camera. As a result, the dynamic response of PSP depends on the oxygen permeability of polymer and the photochemical interaction between luminophore and polymer as well as the reaction of luminophore itself. The reaction of luminophore was changed by employing different polymers. In conclusion, Among 7 PSP formulation tested, the combination of PtTFPP and cellulous acetate butyrate show the best performance. In addition, the detail pressure field of an oblique high-speed impinging jet was measured effectively using the PSP technique.

Feasibility Study of Robotics-based Patient Immobilization Device for Real-time Motion Compensation

  • Intrafractional motion of patients, such as respiratory motion during radiation treatment, is an important issue in image-guided radiotherapy. The accuracy of the radiation treatment decreases as the motion range increases. We developed a control system for a robotic patient immobilization system that enables to reduce the range of tumor motion by compensating the tumor motion. Fusion technology, combining robotics and mechatronics, was developed and applied in this study. First, a small-sized prototype was established for use with an industrial miniature robot. The patient immobilization system consisted of an optical tracking system, a robotic couch, a robot controller, and a control program for managing the system components. A multi speed and position control mechanism with three degrees of freedom was designed. The parameters for operating the control system, such as the coordinate transformation parameters and calibration parameters, were measured and evaluated for a prototype device. After developing the control system using the prototype device, a feasibility test on a full-scale patient immobilization system was performed, using a large industrial robot and couch. The performances of both the prototype device and the realistic device were evaluated using a respiratory motion phantom, for several patterns of respiratory motion. For all patterns of motion, the root mean squared error of the corresponding detected motion trajectories were reduced by more than 40%. The proposed system improves the accuracy of the radiation dose delivered to the target and reduces the unwanted irradiation of normal tissue.

  • 얼라인(Align) 보정은 제품 생산 전/후 빈번하게 사용되는 머신비전 기술 중 하나이다. 본 논문에서는 생산품에 각인된 마커(Marker) 또는 생산품에 존재하는 유니크한 패턴을 이용하여 생산품의 각도와 위치를 고속으로 판별하고 보정하는 방법을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서 사용한 방법은 템플릿매칭(Template Matching)의 속도를 개선한 적분 히스토그램(Integral Histogram)의 변형을 이용하여 후보들을 추출하고, 클러스터링을 적용하여 후보들을 축소하는 방법을 적용 후 마커의 각도와 위치를 판별하는 방법을 제안하였다. 실험결과, 클러스터링을 적용하기 전 보다 클러스터링을 적용 후 약 5s 719ms 개선된 것을 알 수 있었고, 각도 판별에서도 우수한 성능을 보임을 확인할 수 있었다.

Measurements of Two-dimensional Gratings Using a Metrological Atomic Force Microscope with Uncertainty Evaluation

  • The pitch and orthogonality of two-dimensional (2-D) gratings were measured using a metrological atomic force microscope (MAFM), and the measurement uncertainty was analyzed. Gratings are typical standard devices for the calibration of precision microscopes, Since the magnification and orthogonality in two perpendicular axes of microscopes can be calibrated simultaneously using 2-D gratings, it is important to certify the pitch and orthogonality of such gratings accurately for nanometrology. In the measurement of 2-D gratings, the MAFM can be used effectively for its nanometric resolution and uncertainty, but a new measurement scheme is required to overcome limitations such as thermal drift and slow scan speed. Two types of 2-D gratings with nominal pitches of 300 and 1000 nm were measured using line scans to determine the pitch measurement in each direction. The expanded uncertainties (k = 2) of the measured pitch values were less than 0.2 and 0.4 nm for each specimen, and the measured orthogonality values were less than $0.09^{\circ}$ and $0.05^{\circ}$, respectively. The experimental results measured using the MAFM and optical diffractometer agreed closely within the expanded uncertainty of the MAFM. We also propose an additional scheme for measuring 2-D gratings to increase the accuracy of calculated peak positions, which will be the subject of future study.

  • 동적교정방법을 이용하여 $10^{-7}~10^{-10}$torr 영역에서 교정 가능한 초고진공 표준기를 제작하였다. $10^{-6}~10^{-9}$torr L/s 영역의 극미세 유량은 고진공 표준기에 porous plug를 연결하여 발생 제어시켰으며 일정한 배기속도를 유지함이 알려져 있는 refrigerator type cryopump를 이용하여 $3{\times}10^{-11}$torr의 base pressure를 얻을 수 있었다. 이 초고진공 표준기를 이용하여 두 개의 extractor gauge와 자체 제작한 nude 이온게이지들을 교정하고 그 직선성 및 재현도를 살펴보았다.

  • In this paper, we propose the Tangible Virtual Reality Representation Method to using haptic device and feature to morphology of created bead from Flux Cored Arc Welding. The virtual reality was started to rising for reduce to consumable materials and welding training risk. And, we will expected maximize virtual reality from virtual welding training. In this paper proposed method is get the database to changing the input factor such as work angle, travelling angle, speed, CTWD. And, it is visualization to bead from extract to optimal morphological feature information to using the Neural Network algorithm. The database was building without error to extract data from automatic robot welder. Also, the Neural Network algorithm was set a dataset of the highest accuracy from verification process in many times. The bead was created in virtual reality from extract to morphological feature information. We were implementation to final shape of bead and overlapped in process by time to using bead generation algorithm and calibration algorithm for generate to same bead shape to real database in process of generating bead. The best advantage of virtual welding training, it can be get the many data to training evaluation. In this paper, we were representation bead to similar shape from generated bead to Flux Cored Arc Welding. Therefore, we were reduce the gap to virtual welding training and real welding training. In addition, we were confirmed be able to maximize the performance of education from more effective evaluation system.

실내 환경에서 검출 속도 개선을 위한 2D 영상에서의 사람 크기 예측 (Estimating Human Size in 2D Image for Improvement of Detection Speed in Indoor Environments)

  • 사람 검출의 성능은 카메라의 위치 및 각도 등에 큰 영향을 받는다. 이로 인해 획득한 2D 영상에서 사람은 위치에 따라 각기 다른 크기를 갖는 형태로 나타난다. 이렇게 다양한 크기를 갖는 사람들을 모두 검출하는 것은 실시간 시스템의 구현을 어렵게 만드는 요인이 된다. 그러나 만일 영상의 특정 위치의 사람의 크기를 예측할 수 있다면, 해당 위치의 사람 검출을 위한 연산량이 크게 감소될 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 실내 공간의 구조를 깊이맵으로 구성하고, 실내 공간에 존재하는 사람의 영상을 3D 공간에 재구성함으로써 크기를 예측하는 기법을 제안한다. 3D 공간에서는 어느 위치에서든지 사람의 크기가 일관되므로 이를 2D 영상으로 투영하게 되면 2D 영상의 좌표에 따른 정확한 사람의 크기를 추정할 수 있다. 실험 결과로부터 제안 방법이 효과적으로 사람의 크기를 예측할 수 있고, 기존이 기계학습 기반 사람 검출 방법들의 처리속도가 감소됨을 증명하였다.

소형콘관입시험(Miniature Cone Penetration Test)의 국내현장 적용 (The Field Application of Miniature Cone Penetration Test System in Korea)

  • The cone penetration test(CPT) has gained its popularity in site characterization indebted by its reliability, speed, economy, and automatic measurement system since its development in the 1930s. The CPT results, commonly consisting of cone tip resistance, sleeve friction, and pore water pressure measurements, allow us to classify soils as well as to reveal their engineering characteristics. The site condition at which the CPT is allowable is often dependent on the capacity of a CPT system. In Korea, it has been considered that the CPT could be appled only to soft soils in most cases because CPT systems available for stiff soils are very rare due to their expensive procurement and maintenance cost. Luoisiana Transportation Research Center(LTRC) has developed and implemented a field-rugged continuous intrusion miniature cone penetration test(CIMCPT) system since the late 1990s. The miniature cone penetrometer has a sectional cone area of $2cm^2$ allowing system capacity reduction compared to the standard $10cm^2$ cone penetrometer. The continuous intrusion mechanism allows fast and economic site investigation. Samsung Engineering & Construction has recently developed and implemented a similar CIMCPT system based on its original version developed in LTRC. The performance of the Samsung CIMCPT system has been investigated by calibration with the standard CPT system at a well-characterized test site in Pusan, Korea. In addition, scale effect between the miniature cone penetrometer and the standard cone penetrometer has been investigated by comparing the field test results using the both systems.

빔조향 및 전파도래각 추정을 위한 새로운 다중입력 다중출력 안테나 송수신부 구성방법 (A Novel Equalization Method of Multiple Transceivers of Multiple Input Multiple Output Antenna for Beam-farming and the Estimation of Direction of Arrival)

  • 본 논문에서는 최근 IMT-2000 시스템에서 고속데이타 통신을 수용하기 위해 연구되고 있는 다중입력다중 출력(Multiple Input Multiple Output) 안테나를 이용한 공간분할기법을 현실화하기 위한 새로운 등화된 RF 수신부 구성방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 방법의 핵심은 보정시간 동안 궤환회로 및 기억회로를 통해 보정시간중 등화된 다수의 RF 수신부 구성방법에 있으며, 이를 이용할 경우 중간주파 영역에서 weighting 하는 것이 가능하게된다 이는 기존에 연구된 전파노래 각 알고리듬을 사용 가입자 분포에 따라 안테나 빔 형성하는 것을 가능케 하며, 공간분할에 의한 최적 셀 형성을 가능하게 학 것이다. 또한 제시된 RF 전단부의 동작을 확인하기 위하여 Envelope Simulation을 사용 이의 동작을 검증하였다.

수중드론을 활용한 선박 선저검사용 수중 카메라 영상보정에 대한 연구 (A Study on Underwater Camera Image Correction for Ship Bottom Inspection Using Underwater Drone)

  • 일반적으로 운항 중인 선박이나 건조 중인 선박의 선저에는 많은 해양 생물들이 부착된다. 이러한 현상으로 인해 선박 표면의 거칠기가 증가하여 선박속도의 손실이 발생하게 되고 결과적으로 경제적 손실 및 환경오염 등의 발생을 초래하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 선박 선저에 부착된 해양생물 및 선저 상태를 검사하는 수중드론 등의 카메라 영상을 획득/활용한다. 획득된 해당 영상은 관리자 육안확인에 의해 해양 생물들에 따른 거칠기 등을 판단하게 된다. 이에 영상을 보정하는 필터 알고리즘을 원본 영상에 적용함으로써 해양 생물들 부착 여부 등에 대한 올바른 판단에 도움을 줄 수 있다. 수중 영상의 보정 알고리즘에는 다양한 필터가 필요하며, 어두운 수중 환경에 맞는 조명이 판단에 많은 영향을 미치므로 조명의 밝기 정도에 따른 해양 생물 부착 여부 판단에 대한 내용도 소개하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 적용된 보정 알고리즘 및 각 알고리즘별 조명 밝기에 따른 연구테스트 결과는 많은 분야에 적용 가능할 것으로 사료된다.
