  • In this paper, we design the CORBA-based Mobile-Agent Model (CMAM) which has the capability of the efficient work processing in distributed environment through sensing network traffic and searching the optimal path for migration nodes of mobile agent. In case existing mobile agent model is given various works from user, the network overhead and traffic are increased by increasing of execution module size. Also, if it happens a large quantity of traffics due to migration of nodes according to appointment of the passive host(node) muting schedule by user, it needs much cost for node search time by traffic. Therefore, in this paper, we design a new mobile agent model that assures the reliability of agent's migration through dynamic act on the specific situation according to appointment of the active routing schedule and can minimize agent's work processing time through optimal path search. The proposed model assigns routing schedule of the migration nodes actively using an extended MAFFinder. Also, for decreasing overhead of network by agent's size, it separated by mobile agent including oかy agent calling module and push agent with work executing module based on distributed object type of CORBA. Also, it can reduce the required time for round works of mobile agent through the optimal path search of migration nodes.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of city dwellers' migration to the rural areas on the increase of their life satisfaction and its influencing variables. Using a quota sampling, 500 city dwellers across the country and 180 migrators to the Goesan Gun in the Chungcheongbuk-do were selected. The results showed that (a) most city dwellers want to move to the rural areas for their relaxation and rest for their retirement, but migrants' main goal is to realize their internally oriented values, (b) life satisfaction is more evident for migrants compared to city dwellers, and it is influenced by self-assessed income, self-perceived health and internally oriented value, and (c) migrators contribute to their own successful aging by using strategies of selection, optimization and compensation compared to city dwellers. The contribution of this paper is to identify and confirm that (a) migration to the rural areas is an effective way to increase individual's life satisfaction although goals of dwellers and migrators are different, (b) the specific influencing variable and their weights in increase of life satisfaction are unique in Korea, and (c) income level is a not sufficient condition but necessary condition. Several managerial implications and policy directions were suggested to help both migrators and potential migrators to settle successfully in the rural areas.

  • A damage-reduced trench was investigated in view of the defect distribution along trench sidewall and bottom using high resolution transmission electron microscopy, which was formed by HBr plasma and additive gases in magnetically enhanced reactive ion etching system. Adding $O_2$ and other additive gases into HBr plasma makes it possible to eliminate sidewall undercut and lower surface roughness by forming the passivation layer of lateral etching. To reduce the RIE induced damage and obtain the fine shape trench corner rounding, we investigated the hydrogen annealing effect after trench formation. Silicon atomic migration on trench surfaces using high temperature hydrogen annealing was observed with atomic scale view. Migrated atoms on crystal surfaces formed specific crystal planes such as (111), (113) low index planes, instead of fully rounded comers to reduce the overall surface energy. We could observe the buildup of migrated atoms against the oxide mask, which originated from the surface migration of silicon atoms. Using this hydrogen annealing, more uniform thermal oxide could be grown on trench surfaces, suitable for the improvement of oxide breakdown.

  • miR-101 is considered to play an important role in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), but the underlying molecular mechanism remains to be elucidated. Here, we aimed to confirm whether Girdin is a target gene of miR-101 and determine the tumor suppressor of miR-101 through Girdin pathway. In our previous studies, we firstly found Girdin protein was overexpressed in HCC tissues, and it closely correlated to tumor size, T stage, TNM stage and Edmondson-Steiner stage of HCC patients. After specific small interfering RNA of Girdin was transfected into HepG2 and Huh7.5.1 cells, the proliferation and invasion ability of tumor cells were significantly inhibited. In this study, we further explored the detailed molecular mechanism of Girdin in HCC. Interestingly, we found that miR-101 significantly low-expressed in HCC tissues compared with that in matched normal tissues while Girdin had a relative higher expression, and miR-101 was inversely correlated with Girdin expression. In addition, after miR-101 transfection, the proliferation, migration and invasion abilities of HepG2 cells were weakened. Furthermore, we confirmed that Girdin is a direct target gene of miR-101. Finally we confirmed Talen-mediated Girdin knockout markedly suppressed cell proliferation, migration and invasion in HCC while downregulation of miR-101 significantly restored the inhibitory effect. Our findings suggested that miR-101/Girdin axis could be a potential application of HCC treatment.

  • In this study, a transnational social space which emerges in a rural village of the northern Vietnam called 'Korean Village' is analyzed. The immigrant women of whom the spouses are Korean were forming transnational network with family members through which frequent and active communications took place. At the same time materialistic exchanges were occurring by means of remittance. Like most rural areas where up-to-date life patterns co-exist with outdated ones, the studied region was turning into a transnational social space under the influence of indigenous locallity, culture and other economic factors. Women were found to play a virtual role as resonator in practicing the transnational activity of migration. With the migration routes getting more and more solidified, the evolution of the transnational social space and the role of resonator, the form of transnational migration which makes involved young women look like a sacrifice is ceaselessly expanding around a specific region. This is noticeable because a rural village seemingly far away from internationalization is not only becoming the transnational social space but also a stage of its evolution.

  • In an virtualization environment, several virtual machines use physical resources together. If a specific virtual machine uses to much of the computing resources, other machines may not be working properly. There are various method to solve this problem. Most representative study is to migrate a specified virtual machines to a different server, a target server. In this study, server load can be transferred to a target server by the remigrate of the load imposed on virtual machine. It is still problematic that virtual machine has to remigrate to a different server. This thesis has proposed the algorithm determining the remigration targets by applying dynamic thresholds to solve those problems. The migration algorithm applies dynamic thresholds according to the following criteria. Firstly, the usage of CPU, network and memory; secondly, decide the set of artificial machine and the target server based on the resources surpassed thresholds; thirdly, determine artificial machines based on the resource usage in the target server.

  • The vertebrate body plan is accomplished by left-right asymmetric organ development and the heart is a representative asymmetric internal organ which jogs to the left-side. Kupffer's vesicle (KV) is a spherical left-right organizer during zebrafish embryogenesis and is derived from a cluster of dorsal forerunner cells (DFCs). Cadherin1 is required for collective migration of a DFC cluster and failure of DFC collective migration by Cadherin1 decrement causes KV malformation which results in defective heart laterality. Recently, loss of function mutation of A-kinase anchoring protein 12 (AKAP12) is reported as a high-risk gene in congenital heart disease patients. In this study, we demonstrated the role of $akap12{\beta}$ in asymmetric heart development. The $akap12{\beta}$, one of the akap12 isoforms, was expressed in DFCs which give rise to KV and $akap12{\beta}$-deficient zebrafish embryos showed defective heart laterality due to the fragmentation of DFC clusters which resulted in KV malformation. DFC-specific loss of $akap12{\beta}$ also led to defective heart laterality as a consequence of the failure of collective migration by cadherin1 reduction. Exogenous $akap12{\beta}$ mRNA not only restored the defective heart laterality but also increased cadherin1 expression in $akap12{\beta}$ morphant zebrafish embryos. Taken together, these findings provide the first experimental evidence that $akap12{\beta}$ regulates heart laterality via cadherin1.

  • Ets-1 is a prototype of the ETS protein family. Members of the ETS protein family contain a unique ETS domain. Ets-1 is associated with cancer progression and metastasis in many types of cancer. Many studies have shown a link between elevated expression of Ets-1 in cancer biopsies and poor survival. CCR7 is a chemokine that binds to specific ligand CCL21/CCL19. CCR7 expression is associated with tumor metastasis and infiltration into lymph nodes. The objective of this study was to test whether Ets-1 could regulate CCR7 expression and enhance tumor metastasis. Our data showed that CCR7 expression was downregulated in Ets-1-deficient T cells upon T-cell stimulation. Overexpression of Ets-1 increased CCR7 expression in breast cancer cell lines. In contrast, knockdown of Ets-1 reduced CCR7 expression. Ets-1 could directly bind to CCR7 promoter and mediate CCR7 expression in luciferase reporter assays and chromatin immunoprecipitation assays. Transactivation activity of Ets-1 was independent of the Pointed domain of Ets-1. Ets-1 could also enhance $NF-{\kappa}B$ and CBP transactivation of CCR7 promoter. Our results also showed that Ets-1 could modulate cancer cell transmigration by altering CCR7 expression in transwell assay and wound healing assay. Taken together, our data suggest that Ets-1 can enhance CCR7 expression and contribute to tumor cell migration.

  • In this study, we have investigated the effect of photobiomodulation (PBM) on corneal wound healing, using a low-power light-emitting diode (LED) at different wavelengths. We found that LEDs with wavelengths ranging from 623 to 940 nm had no significant cytotoxic effects on corneal epithelial cells. The effect of PBM on promoting cell migration was analyzed by scratch assay, and it was found that PBM at 623 nm significantly increased cell migration and promoted wound healing. Furthermore, the expression of genes related to cell migration and wound healing was analyzed, and it was found that PBM at 623 nm upregulated the expression of the genes FGF-1 and MMP2, which are known to promote cell proliferation and extracellular matrix degradation. These findings suggest that PBM with low-powered light at specific wavelengths, particularly 623 nm, could be utilized to treat corneal injury.

  • The main purpose of this study is to analyse what are the key financial innovations in the euro area electronic payment systems. TARGET2 is the RTGS-system provided through the Eurosystem. It is used for settling central bank operations, for large interbank transfers in euro and also for other euro-denominated transfers. The specific features of TARGET2 include processing in real time, settlement in central bank money and immediate finality. In addition, the SEPA is a payment-integration initiative of the European Union for simplification of bank transfers denominated in euro. In particular, the main innovations consist of the completion of the phased migration to the TARGET2 infrastructure, and the introduction of a single retail payment market in euro - the SEPA and its products, schemes and frameworks. As the study analyse, the key innovations consist of the TARGET2 introduction, SEPA establishment and migration towards the T2S system. These innovations will lead to a better understanding of the payment and settlement systems' behavior in stress situations and to enhance the stability of the euro area financial system. Moreover, the successful integration of the European payment and settlement infrastructures will further contribute to the integration of the European financial markets, as well as to their higher competitiveness.
