  • This study aimed to obtain basic data toward fostering understanding and interest in local foods, to the overall end of enhancing development and popularization of such foods. It also gives direction toward promotion of local food by researching attitudes toward local foods and viewpoints on requirements for improvement of such, among university students living in the Daegu-Kyungbuk area. The results of analyzing perceptional scores for native local foods in Kyungbuk by characteristics t showed statistically significant differences according to sex and duration of residence in Kyungbuk. Obstacles to the promotion of local foods include lack of marketing, lack of specialized restaurants, lack of knowledge, lack of menus, lack of generalization, and high price. The results of analyzing viewpoints on requirements for improved perception of local foods, there were statistically significant differences in active advertisement and marketing, diversity of local foods, and duration of dwelling.

  • For effective science learning, teachers need to rearrange scientific language so that students can understand the contents with their incomplete language resources. Interlanguage is the interplay between everyday language and scientific language. The purpose of the study was to analyze the patterns of interlanguage during 4th grade science class to learn "Heat and Temperature" and to find the features of meaning sharing inside classroom in which a teacher and students participated. The data analysis shows that elementary students' interlanguage has different features compared to scientific language that involves passive voice and content-specialized nouns. Students' interlanguage implied the quality of class community's knowledge-sharing, according to the degree of how students can connect scientific language and everyday language in more effective ways. The implication to elementary science education was discussed.

  • There are many attempts to develop rural areas by the use of local resources. Local industrialization is a well-known means to found industrialization by the local people using specialized local resources. However, there are many difficulties local people face in the industrialization of these local resources. This is mainly due to local people's lack of experience and knowledge in the development of these resources and the foundation of industrialization in these rural areas require further assistant. This thesis intends to examine the local conditions in order to represent the possibilities and limitations of the industrialization in the use of local resources, Gokseong cotton. We will further suggest various methods & means of these applications and illustrate the efficient approach to development scheme.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the types of injuries and the protective behaviors of soccer club members to prevent injuries, and promote health. Data was collected from 395 soccer club members from thirteen football clubs in Seoul and Gyeonggi province using question tool developed by researchers. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 23 for descriptive analysis and Chi-square test. The results showed that sport for soccer injuries was serious and medical expenses was significant. The demographic information showed that 50-year-old and over adults were vulnerable and had a disproportionate number of injuries. Those employees who helded administrative positions, white-collar and specialized jobs also experienced the high level of injury experience. Despite this many injuries, many respondents appeared to be lacking a protective actions, such as not wearing protective gear. It was critical for the club members to improve their knowledge and awareness of safe sports activities.

  • I have taught various case audit underwriting methods to underwriters for many years. Underwriting requires specialized medical knowledge and experience of comprehensive individual risk analysis. Decisions in individualized underwriting depend on the insurance company's management philosophy and vision, marketing strategies, culture, product line etc. They also depend on the information acquired through proposal forms, inspection reports, laboratory results and disclosures. Underwriters match this acquired information to each insurance product, search appropriate medical resources, assess the probabilities of future claims, and decide what, if any, further medical information should be gathered. Sources include doctors' reports, medical records, biopsies, blood and urine tests, CT, MRI, Holter monitoring, sonography etc. Insurance medical directors help and teach underwriters to analyze individual medical risks and make effective.

  • In the mobile environments for the vector map services, a map simplification work through the map generalization steps helps improve the readability of the map on a large scale. The generalization operations are various such as selection, aggregation, simplification, displacement, and so on, the formal operation algorithms have not been built yet. Because the algorithms require deep special knowledge and heuristic, which make it hard to automate the processes. This thesis proposes some map generalization algorithms specialized in mobile vector map services, based on previous works. This thesis will show the detail to adapt the approaches on the mobile environment, to display complex spatial objects efficiently on the mobile devices which have restriction on the resources.

  • In this paper we propose a platform that is applicable to low altitude remote sensing. Basic idea of the platform is based on the model helicopter. On big difference from the conventional model helicopter is that our platform has four main rotors. Furthermore, vision control strategy is introduced so that operator can use the platform without any specialized intensive knowledge

  • T cell activation and function require physical contact with antigen presenting cells at a specialized junctional structure known as the immunological synapse. Once formed, the immunological synapse leads to sustained T cell receptor-mediated signalling and stabilized adhesion. High resolution microscopy indeed had a great impact in understanding the function and dynamic structure of immunological synapse. Trends of recent research are now moving towards understanding the mechanical part of immune system, expanding our knowledge in mechanosensitivity, force generation, and biophysics of cell-cell interaction. Actin cytoskeleton plays inevitable role in adaptive immune system, allowing it to bear dynamic and precise characteristics at the same time. The regulation of mechanical engine seems very complicated and overlapping, but it enables cells to be very sensitive to external signals such as surface rigidity. In this review, we focus on actin regulators and how immune cells regulate dynamic actin rearrangement process to drive the formation of immunological synapse.
