Development of Homemade Dye Laser (색소레이저의 국산화 개발에 관한 연구)

  • It is desirable to establish a fundamental basis of dye laser technology in korea. Except the special wavelength mirrors, all parts of the dye laser were assembled using domestically available materials and the interior technology. The characteristics of pumping light of Ar discharge tube, fluorescence light of Rhodamine 6G and output pulses of the homemade dye laser were investigated by means of CRO and spectroscopic analysis.

  • Complex variable methods are used to solve the first and the second fundamental problems for infinite plate with two holes having arbitrary shapes which are conformally mapped on the domain outside of the unit circle by means of rational mapping function. Some applications are investigated and some special cases are derived.

  • Key is generally formed using the Random Number. How to make the Random Number is to cast coin or dice as classical method, to form the Real Random Number with Hardware and to make the Pseudo Random Number by means of utilizing mathematical algorithm. This thesis presented NRNG(New Random Number Generator) which put self-development Hardware to use as Key Generation Method and inspected to compare the Real Random Number with the Pseudo Random Number and special properties which PRNG(Pseudo-Random Number Generator) creates.

  • Muskhelishvili's complex variable method has been applied to derive exact and closed expressions for Gaursat's functions for the first and second fundamental problems of the infinite plate weakened by a curvilinear hole which is conformally mapped on the domain outside the unit circle by means of rational mapping function. The hole having three poles. The previous work of the authers in this domain is considered as special cases of this work.

  • In this paper, a singularly perturbed ordinary differential equation with non-smooth data is considered. The numerical method is generated by means of a Petrov-Galerkin finite element method with the piecewise-exponential test function and the piecewise-linear trial function. At the discontinuous point of the coefficient, a special technique is used. The method is shown to be first-order accurate and singular perturbation parameter uniform convergence. Finally, numerical results are presented, which are in agreement with theoretical results.

  • By a change of variables we obtain new $y$-coordinates of elliptic curves. Utilizing these $y$-coordinates as meromorphic modular functions, together with the elliptic modular function, we generate the fields of meromorphic modular functions. Furthermore, by means of the special values of the $y$-coordinates, we construct the ray class fields over imaginary quadratic fields as well as normal bases of these ray class fields.

  • In this paper we discuss what Competitive Intelligence means, why it is growing in importance in the business world and how Library and Information Science Schools in the United States are responding to the opportunities presented by Competitive Intelligence. As a conclusion, we discuss some of the implications of our findings for Library and Information Science education in Korea.

  • The results of analysis of simply supported reinforced concrete slab by special orthotropic plate theory have been reported. This method, however, may be too difficult for some practising engineers. In this paper, the result of analysis of such a plate by means of the beam theory with unit width is reported. By using the "correction factor", the accurate solution for the plate can be obtained by the beam theory. The plate aspect ratio considered is from 1 : 1 to 1 :6

  • There are many railway structures which were designed without conidering aseismic capacity. In special, masonry structures constructed long time ago should be reviewed about their resistance to earthquake. In this paper, technique to evaluate the capacity of masonry railway bridge is tried to develop by means of FEM analysis. In general FEM analysis program, 3-D solid element is used for masonry structures and response spectrum analysis procedure is tried. In addition, 3-D solid element has material properties equivalent to mortar-brick composite body. Used FEM program is ABAQUS-CAE.
