  • Although aerial photogrammetry has been used to generate or update digital maps. It is difficult to make the spatial and attribute data for all kinds of objects on the ground with only aerial photogrammetry. Therefore, we are getting informations of the object on the ground through an on-the-spot survey In order to improve accuracy and reliability of on-the-spot survey in this study, we obtained stereo images from high resolution digital camera (1152*864 pixels) and developed the video photogrammetry which was able to determine the three dimensional coordinates from stereo images by applying DLT(Direct Linear Transformation). Also, the developed video photogrammetry could generate and update the spatial and attribute data in digital maps by using a function that could connect three dimensional coordinates with the attribute data.

  • This paper presents a methodology for spatial extrapolation of wind-induced pressure time series from a corner bay to roof locations on a low building away from the corner through the application of proper orthogonal decomposition (POD). The approach is based on the concept that pressure time series in the far field can be approximated as a linear combination of a series of modes and principal coordinates, where the modes are extracted from the full roof pressure field of an aerodynamically similar building and the principal coordinates are calculated from data at the leading corner bay only. The reliability of the extrapolation for uplift time series in nine bays for a cornering wind direction was examined. It is shown that POD can extrapolate reasonably accurately to bays near the leading corner, given the first three modes, but the extrapolation degrades further from the corner bay as the spatial correlations decrease.

  • In this paper, a 3D position tracking algorithm for a moving objects using a stereo CCD cameras was proposed. This paper purposed the method to extract the coordinates of the moving objects. That is improve the operating and data processing efficiency. We were applied the relative orientation far the stereo CCD cameras and image coordinates extraction in the left and right images after the moving object segmentation. Also, it is decided on 3D position far moving objects using an acquired image coordinates in the left and right images. We were used independent relative orientation to decide the relative location and attitude of the stereo CCD cameras and RGB pixel values to segment the moving objects. To calculate the coordinates of the moving objects by space intersection. And, We conducted the experiment the system and compared the accuracy of the results.

  • Aerial Images are usually used to extract 3-D coordinates of various urban features. In this process, the stereo matching of images should be performed precisely to extract these information from aerial Images. In this research, we proposed a matching technique based on geometric features of lanes. We extracted lanes from aerial images and grouped into 4 lane's types. They are lane lines, dotted lines, arrow lane, safety zone. After preprocessing, We will match them by spatial relationships, for example, the distance and orientation between the extracted features. In the future, we will obtain lane coordinates and reconstruct 3-d coordinates of roads.

  • In this paper, we derive an algorithm and develope a computer program which analyze rapidly and precisely the inverse kinematics of robotic mechanism with spatial complex chain structure based on the relative coordinates. We represent the inverse kinematic problem as an optimization problem with the kinematic constraint equations. The inverse kinematic analysis algorithm, therefore, consists of two algorithms, the main, an optimization algorithm finding the motion of independent joints from that of an end-effector and the sub, a forward kinematic analysis algorithm computing the motion of dependent joints. We accomplish simulations for the investigation upon the accuracy and efficiency of the algorithm.

  • This paper proposes an error model with integral action and a pole-place-ment self-tuning controller for robot manipulators in task coordinates. The controller can reject the offset due to any load disturbance without a detailed description of the robot dynamics. The error model parameters are estimated by the recursive least square identification algorithms, and controller parameters are determined by the pole-placement method. A computer simulation study has been conducted to demonstrate the performance of the proposed control system in task coordinates for a 3-joint and 2-link spatial robot manipulator with payload.

  • In this study, the software to compute Bessel coordinates by trilateration adjustment was developed, and the software was used to determine coordinates of the cadastral control points over the southern Korean peninsula. The baseline measured by GPS was reduced to the distance on geoid surface by applying PNU95 geoid model, and the distance on geoid surface was reduced to the plane grid distance by applying scale factor of map projection of Bessel coordinates. Using the plane grid distance, Bessel coordinates of 32 CORS (Continuously Operating Reference Station) were computed by free adjustment at first, and then the coordinates of the cadastral control points were computed by joining the control points to adjacent CORS. The result shows a possibility of construction of highly accurate and consistent cadastral survey network with coordinate error less than 1ppm of distance, when newly computing the coordinates of the control points by using distances measured by GPS.

  • The purpose of this study is to show how to gain the morphology of the Hybrid Spatial Structures and to get the geometrical data such as node coordinates, member relationships and graphic images. To form spatial structures, we have developed morphological aspects of general spatial structures, programming process and techniques. Structural design has many processes. Especially, it is very important to consider the determination of structural configuration. Regular Hybrid Spatial Structures have complex configuration, so we need to make use of automated computer process to determine structural shape in Hybrid Spatial Structures. We have applied morphological aspects to double layer plate, single layer dome, double layer dome and tensegrity structure.

  • High spectral resolution of hyperspectral data enables analysis of complex natural phenomena that is reflected on the data nonlinearly. Although many manifold learning methods have been developed for such problems, most methods do not consider the spatial correlation between samples that is inherent and useful in remote sensing data. We propose a manifold learning method which directly combines the spatial proximity and the spectral similarity through kernel PCA framework. A gain factor caused by spatial proximity is first modelled with a heat kernel, and is added to the original similarity computed from the spectral values of a pair of samples. Parameters are tuned with intelligent grid search (IGS) method for the derived manifold coordinates to achieve optimal classification accuracies. Of particular interest is its performance with small training size, because labelled samples are usually scarce due to its high acquisition cost. The proposed spatial kernel PCA (KPCA) is compared with PCA in terms of classification accuracy with the nearest-neighbourhood classification method.

  • Open source is recently much more made and distributed by on-line such as internet in various fields. Therefore, end users could rapidly develop applications needed for some purposes using minimal efforts if use open sources. But, open source must be customized for their purposes. In this paper, we developed software for coordinates conversion and compared the software with NGI Pro which is developed by National Geographic Information Institute. Consequently, it is possible for us to easily develop the coordinates conversion module and we know that the use of open source is effective to develop various applications.
