영주댐 준공 전후 저서성대형무척추동물의 서식기능군 및 군집안정성 분석 (Analysis of functional habitat groups and community stability of benthic macroinvertebrates before and after Yeongju Dam completion in Korea)

  • 낙동강 상류의 지류이며, 국내 대표적인 모래하천으로 잘 알려진 내성천 상류에 위치한 영주댐을 기준으로 하류 지점과 상류 지점을 선정하여, 2015년과 2016년동안 담수화에 따른 저서성대형무척추동물의 서식유형 및 군집구조의 변화 양상에 대한 분석을 실시하였다. 조사는 댐의 건설이 저서성대형무척추동물에 미치는 영향을 파악하고자 2015년, 2016년 총 4회에 걸쳐 실시하였다. 조사 결과, 댐에 의한 내성천의 담수화가 2016년 7월부터 진행됨에 따라 전체 출현 종수가 감소하였다. 특히 댐에서 가까운 상류 지점인 St.2와 St.3에서 감소 폭이 크게 나타났다. 유수성 환경과 입자가 큰 하상구조를 선호하는 E.P.T. 분류군의 종조성 비율은 감소하고, 정수역 환경을 선호하는 O.C.H. 분류군의 종조성 비율은 증가한 것으로 확인되었다. 서식기능군은 담수가 진행됨에 따라 붙는무리(CL; Clinger)의 종수 및 개체수 비율이 모든 지점에서 감소하였고, 굴파는무리(BU; Burrower), 기어오르는무리(CB; Climber), 기는무리(SP; Sprawler), 헤엄치는 무리(SW; Swimmer)의 종수 및 개체수 비율이 증가하였다. 또한 서식환경 변화에 따른 군집안 정성을 비교 결과, group I (높은 저항력, 높은 회복력)의 종분포는 크게 변화하지 않았으나 St.2와 St.3에서 group II(높은 저항력, 낮은 회복력)의 종 출현율이 현저히 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 댐 건설로 인해 담수가 진행됨에 따라 저서환경변화와 유속에 영향을 직접적으로 받는 저서성대형 무척추동물의 서식유형과 군집구조에 대한 시간적, 공간적 변화 양상을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 향후 내성천 수계의 지속적인 모니터링을 통해 댐 건설과 이로 인한 담수의 진행 정도에 따라 저서성대형무척추동물 군집구조 변화와 서식기능군은 물론 섭식기능군의 변화 양상에 대한 체계적인 연구가 요구된다. 그리고 댐 조성이 하천생태계 저서성대형무척추동물의 분포 및 서식양태 변화에 미치는 영향에 대한 추가적인 조사 및 연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

일일어획자료를 이용한 여수 해역의 정치망 어획물 종조성 (Species Composition Using the Daily Catch Data of a Set Net in the Coastal Waters off Yeosu, Korea)

  • 2001년 4월부터 10월 사이에 돌산도 율림 앞바다, 2002년 4월부터 10월 사이에 연도 앞바다, 그리고 2003년 4월부터 12월 사이에 돌산도 임포 먼바다에서 정치망에 어획된 수산생물의 일일 어획자료를 이용하여 종조성과 양적 변동을 파악하고, 연도별, 장소간 종조성을 분석하였다. 2001~2003년에 여수 해역에서 정치망에 의해 삼치(Scomberomorus niphonius), 방어류 (Seriola spp.), 갈치(Trichiurus lepturus), 멸치 (Engraulis japonicus), 줄삼치(Sarda orientalis), 살오징어(Todarodes pacificus), 덕대(Pampus echinogaster), 밴댕이(Sardinella zunasi), 고등어(Scomber japonicus), 황아귀(Lophius litulon), 꼴뚜기(Loligo beka) 등이 양적으로 우세하게 어획되어 여수해역에서 정치망으로 어획된 어류의 종조성은 주로 표영성 어류가 대부분을 차지하였다. 연안역에서는 밴댕이, 덕대, 양태 (Platycephalus indicus), 꼴뚜기, 외해역에서는 삼치, 방어류, 갈치, 덕대, 살오징어, 검복(Takifugu porphyreus), 참돔(Pagrus major)의 표영성 주거종 (pelagic resident species)이 우세하였으며, 멸치는 남해 전체에서 계절적으로 연안과 외해를 이동하는 대표적인 우점종이었다. 봄에 연안에 밴댕이와 멸치가, 수심이 보다 깊은 외해에는 내유하는 멸치와 황아귀, 방어류 등 대상으로 어기가 시작되어 여름에 갈치, 삼치, 고등어, 방어류, 줄삼치, 덕대, 살오징어 등의 외양종이 연안과 외해에 회유하여 어획량이 높았다. 가을에는 연안에서 삼치, 멸치, 꼬치고기 (Sphyraena pinguis), 독가시치 (Siganus fuscescens), 주둥치 (Leiognathus nuchalis) 등이 우점하였고, 외해에서는 삼치, 덕대, 학공치(Hyporhamphus sajori), 고등어, 갈치 등이 여름에 이어 계속 출현하였으나 어획량은 감소하는 온대 해역의 전형적인 계절성을 보였다. 남해안에서 정치망에 어획된 출현종은 대부분 부어류이었으며 그 변화 정도가 심하였으나, 대형정치망 일일 어획자료은 부어류 종조성의 계절변동을 분석하는데 유의한 의미를 가질 것으로 판단된다.

흰쥐의 턱끝혀근 지배 운동신경원에 대한 억제성 및 흥분성 신경종말의 분포 양식 (Distribution Pattern of Inhibitory and Excitatory Nerve Terminals in the Rat Genioglossus Motoneurons)

  • 턱끝혀근은 호흡을 위해 상부기도를 확보하는 중요한 근육이지만 정상적으로 수축하지 못하면 상부기도를 폐쇄함으로써 호흡장애가 생길 수있다. 이것은 턱끝혀근을 지배하는 운동신경원의 연접입력 이상으로 생각하고 있으나 이러한 연접입력에 대해서는 잘 알려져 있지 않다. 본 연구에서는 흰쥐의 턱끝혀근을 지배하는 운동신경원과 연접하는 억제성 및 흥분성 신경종말의 분포 양식에 대해 분석하고자 하였으며, 이를 위해 신경추적자인 HRP를 주입하여 턱끝혀근 지배 운동신경원을 표식하고, 운동신경원을 세포체와 가지돌기의 근위부, 중간부 및 원위부로 구분한 후, 전자현미경용 연속절편을 제작하여 GABA, glycine 및 glutamate 항체를 사용한 postembedding immunogold histochemistry를 시행하였다. 정량적 분석은 3개의 턱끝혀근 운동신경원에 연접한 622개의 신경종말 중 157개는 세포체에서, 188개는 14개의 가지돌기 근위부에서, 181개는 35개의 가지돌기 중간부에서, 96개는 28개의 가지돌기 원위부에서 각각 연접 양상을 분석하였다. 관찰한 신경종말의 71.9%에서 사용된 3종류의 아미노산에 대한 면역양성반응이 나타났는데 이 중 32.8%는 GABA 또는 glycine에 대한 면역양성반응을 보였고, 39.1%는 glutamate에 대한 면역양성반응을 보였다. GABA 또는 glycine에 대한 면역양성 신경종말 중 14.2%는 glycine에만 면역양성반응을 보였고, 13.3%는 glycine과 GABA에 동시에 면역양성반응을 보였으며, 5.3%만이 GABA에만 면역양성반응을 보였다. 억제성 아미노산에 면역양성반응을 보인 신경종말에는 납작하거나, 타원형 또는 둥근 형태의 연접소포가 함유된 반면, 흥분성 아미노산에 면역양성반응을 보인 신경종말에는 구형의 소포와 약간의 큰 치밀연접소포가 함유되어 있었다. 억제성 신경종말과 흥분성 신경종말의 분포 비율은 가지돌기 원위부에서 각각 23.9% 대 43.8%로 가장 높았지만, 세포체(35.7% 대 38.2%), 가지돌기의 근위부(34.6% 대 37.8%), 및 중간부(33.1% 대 38.7%)에서는 큰 차이를 보이지 않았다. 억제성 신경종말의 synaptic covering (%)은 세포체에서 가지돌기 원위부로 갈수록 감소되었지만, 흥분성 신경종말의 synaptic covering (%)은 각 부위에서 큰 차이를 나타내지 않았다. 본 연구를 통하여 턱끝혀근 지배 운동신경원은 세포체와 가지돌기의 부위에 따라 GABA, glycine 및 glutamate를 함유하는 전운동신경원들에 의해 서로 다른 양식의 제어를 받고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 운동신경원의 부위에 따른 이러한 억제성 및 흥분성 연접입력 양식의 차이는 유연한 혀운동의 제어기전과 밀접한 관련이 있을 것으로 추정된다.

최저기온과 휴면심도 기반의 동해위험도를 활용한 'Campbell Early' 포도의 내동성 지도 제작 (Plant Hardiness Zone Mapping Based on a Combined Risk Analysis Using Dormancy Depth Index and Low Temperature Extremes - A Case Study with "Campbell Early" Grapevine -)

  • 본 연구에서는 국가표준 시나리오 A1B와 A2 조건에서 예상되는 2071-2100 평년의 최저기온 예상도와, 휴면심도로부터 추정한 단기내동성 분포도에 근거하여, 남한 전역에 대해 사방 270m 간격으로 경관규모의 국지적인 동해위험 정도를 분석함으로써 현재 평년(1971-2000)에 비해 어떤 결과를 보일지 예측하고자 하였다. 실험에 필요한 270m 해상도의 일별 기온자료와 1월 최저기온자료는 농림수산식품부의 전자기후도 및 그 파생산물, 그리고 국립기상연구소의 기후시나리오자료를 이용하여 준비하였다. 대상작물로서 'Campbell Early' 포도를 선정하고 현재와 미래 평년에 대해 각각 휴면심도를 계산하여 비교한 결과, 단기내동성 유지면적(휴면심도 -150 이하)과 저온내습지역($-15^{\circ}$ 이하)은 두 가지 시나리오 모두 미래기후 조건에서 동시에 줄어들었다. 기온과 휴면심도 두 요인을 종합해 분석해보면 현재 평년에 비해 100년 후 미래 평년에 동해위험이 감소하는 지역은 증가하는 지역보다 더 늘어나므로 포도재배에 있어서 저온피해의 위협은 감소할 것이다. 하지만 피해율 30% 이하의 월동 안전지역의 면적이 현재 평년의 59%에서 미래에는 55% (A1B)${\sim}$63% (A2)로서 뚜렷이 증가하지 않으며, 피해율 70% 이상의 월동 위험지역의 면적은 오히려 현재 평년의 13%에서 미래에는 23% (A1B)${\sim}$25% (A2)로 크게 증가할 것으로 예측되었다. 본 연구에서 사용된 전자기후도에 근거한 동해위험도 분석기술은 국내 주요 과수품종에 적용할 수 있으므로 재배적지의 재배치 등 기후변화대과 수산업분야 적응전략 마련에 유용하게 쓰일 수 있을 것이다.

2016~2017년 동중국해 북부해역의 초미소식물플랑크톤 분포 특성 (Distribution characteristics and community structure of picophytoplankton in the northern East China Sea in 2016-2017)

  • Synechococcus 속은 전 계절에 출현하였으며, 저수온기에 현존량이 가장 낮았고, 고수온기에 서쪽해역에서 최대 현존량을 나타내었다. 동중국해 북부해역의 서쪽해역에서 Synechococcus 속은 2017년에 비해 장강희석수의 유입량이 많았던 2016년에 현존량이 높게 나타나 고수온과 장강희 석수를 통한 영양염 유입이 Synechococcus 속 성장에 밀접한 관계가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 Synechococcus 속은 동중국해 북부해역의 서쪽해역과 동쪽해역에서 서로 다른 계통군이 존재함을 기존 연구에서도 알 수 있었다(Choi 2012). Picoeukaryotes은 계절적으로 춘계에 현존량이 가장 높았고, 조사시기 동안 Synechococcus 속에 비해서는 현존량이 낮았다. 그러나 picoeukaryotes은 Synechococcus와 Prochlorococcus 속보다 크기가 크고 생체량이 높기 때문에 동중국해 북부해역에서 일차생산자로써 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 판단된다. Prochlorococcus 속은 저수온기인 동계와 춘계에는 출현하지 않았으며, 하계와 추계에는 쿠로시오수의 영향을 받는 동쪽해역에서 제한적으로 분포하였고 수직적으로 유세포 분석기의 형광값 차이에 의해서 형광값이 낮았던 생태형 I과 형광값이 높았던 생태형 II로 구분되어 나타났다. 또한 Prochlorococcus 속은 쿠로시오수의 유입량이 많은 추계에 가장 넓은 범위에서 분포함에 따라 쿠로시오수의 유입량이 생장 및 분포 범위에 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단된다. 이와 같이 동중국해 북부해역에서 Synechococcus와 Prochlorococcus 속의 생장과 분포는 수괴의 영향에 따라 서로 다른 물리 화학적 환경에서 다양한 계통군이 출현하였다. 따라서 동중국해 북부해역의 수괴의 구조를 파악하는데 초미소식물플랑크톤이 유용한 생물학적 지표가 될 수 있으며, 동중국해의 환경 특성 및 이에 연동되는 생태계 특성을 파악하기 위한 유용한 정보를 제공하기 위해서는 분자생물학적 분석이 병행되어야 할 것으로 생각한다.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The strip was illuminated at 45˚c through optical fiber and the intensity of reflected light was determined at rectanguLat angle using a photodiode. The kubelka-munk coefficient and reflection optical density were determined ar four different wavelengths(500, 550, 570 and 610nm) for blood glucose strip. For higher concentration than 300mg/41 about glucose, a saturation state of abforbance was observed at 500, 550 and 570nm. The mice were divided into two groups. One group was injected with Photofrin II, intravenously (2.5mg/kg body weight). The other group received no Photofrin II. Mice from both groups were irradialed for approximately 15 minutes at 100, 300, or 500 mW/cm2 with the argon (488nm/514.5 nm), dye(628nm) and gold vapor (pulsed 628 nm) laser light. A photosensitizer behaved as an added absorber. Under our experimental conditions, the presence of Photolfrin II increased surface temperature by at least 40% and the temperature rise due to 300 mW/cm2 irradiation exceeded values for hyperthermia. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. The results suggested that the femoral component suitable for Asians should be different from the currently-used components designed and manufactured mostly by European or American companies. 30537 T00401030537 ^x It is well known that nonlinear propagation characteristics of the wave in the tissue may give very useful information for the medical diagnoisis. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. Our department has developed an information system for routine hematology using down-sized computer system. We have used an IBM 486 compatible PC with 16MB main memory, 210 MB hard disk drive, 9 RS-232C port and 24 pin dot printer. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer.   • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70${\pm}$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32${\pm}$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase. The C language was used for interface purpose. To make the system use friendly, pull-down menu was used. The system connected to our hospital information system via application program interface (API), so the information related to patient and request details is automatically transmitted to our computer. Our system interfaced with fwd complete blood count analyzers(Sysmex NE-8000 and Coulter STKS) for unidirectional data tansmission from analyzer to computer.
