Operational orbit determination (OOD) depends on the capability of generating accurate prediction of spacecraft ephemeris in a short period. The predicted ephemeris is used in the operations such as instrument pointing and orbit maneuvers. In this study the orbit prediction problem consists of the estimating diverse arc length orbit using GPS navigation data, the predicted orbit for the next 48 hours, and the fitted 30-hour arc length orbits of double differenced GPS measurements for the predicted 48-hour period. For 24-hour orbit arc length, the predicted orbit difference from truth orbit was 205 meters due to the along-track error. The main error sources for the orbit prediction of the Low Earth Orbiter (LEO) satellite are solar pressure and atmosphere density.

This article proposes to consider the experience of using information and communication technologies in educational processes and social practices of Ukrainian universities. The history of the introduction of information and communication technologies in the development of the higher education system is considered, the system of organizing the information space of universities is investigated. The distinctive features of the structure of a single information space, as well as distance e-learning technologies are highlighted. Empirical material obtained in the course of sociological research is used to discuss specific examples of the use of ICT in universities.
To handle the servo delay in a real-time adaptive optics system, a linear subspace system identification algorithm was employed to model the system, and the accuracy of the system identification was verified by numerical calculation. Experimental verification was conducted in a real test bed system. Through analysis and comparison of the experimental results, the convergence can be achieved only 200 times with prediction and 300 times without prediction. After the wavefront peak-to-valley value converges, its mean values are 0.27, 4.27, and 10.14 ㎛ when the communication distances are 1.2, 4.5, and 10.2 km, respectively. The prediction algorithm can effectively improve the convergence speed of the peak-to-valley value and improve the free-space optical communication performance.
Recently, there have been the World Economic Forum's space economy guidelines, the International Telecommunication Union's regulations for each satellite orbit, the development of chips using satellite communication by global manufacturers and service providers, and the registration of key telecommunication businesses. Accordingly, trends in low-orbit 5G satellite communication services in Korea were investigated and analyzed, and the current situation in Korea was diagnosed. Korea's satellite communications accounts for 0.31% of all satellites when analyzed centering on countries with 20 or more satellites. Korea's communication satellite holdings are insufficient compared to 187 times that of the United States, 45 times that of Russia, and 18 times that of China. There is no link technology between 5G and LEO, and the cost of launch vehicles is high. In addition, it is judged that the ecosystem of equipment companies in the low-orbit 5G-NTN business model is insufficient.
Frequency characteristics of gain-saturated erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) are experimentally evaluated to mitigate the optical signal fluctuation induced by atmospheric turbulence in terrestrial freespace optical communication systems. Here, an acousto-optic modulator (AOM) is used to emulate optical signal fluctuations induced by atmospheric turbulence. The waveform which is generated in proportion to the refractive-index structural parameters is used to drive the AOM at various periodic frequencies. Thus, the dependence of the signal fluctuation suppression on the frequency is evaluated. The experiment is conducted using a periodic frequency sweep of the AOM driving voltage waveform and signal input power variation of the amplifier. It is observed that a low periodic frequency and high input signal power effectively suppress the optical signal fluctuation. This study evaluates the experimental results from the high-pass filter and gain-saturation characteristics of the EDFA.

Internet traffic is rapidly increasing due to the spread of personal smart devices. It causes serious burden on base stations and access points which are installed in buildings, buses, trains, and ships. We consider a communication scenario aboard a cruise ship and propose efficient contents distribution schemes to alleviate the burden of access points with multi-device-to-multi-device(MD2MD) communication. The proposed transmission method is based on the hybrid STBC-SM scheme. We compare the error performance of MD2MD communication system on the cruise ship using space-time block coding (STBC) scheme, spatial multiplexing (SM) scheme. The proposed MD2MD communication system is expected to adopt in the ship-area-network (SAN) with efficient contents distribution and reliable communication.

In order to meet the rapid development of the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) communication needs, cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS) helps to identify unused spectrum for the primary users (PU). However, multi-UAV mode (MUM) requires the large communication resource in a cognitive UAV network, resulting in a severe decline of spectrum efficiency (SE) and energy efficiency (EE) and increase of energy consumption (EC). On this account, we extend the traditional 2D spectrum space to 3D spectrum space for the UAV network scenario and enable UAVs to proceed with spectrum sensing behaviors in this paper, and propose a novel multi-slot mode (MSM), in which the sensing slot is divided into multiple mini-slots within a UAV. Then, the CSS process is developed into a composite hypothesis testing problem. Furthermore, to improve SE and EE and reduce EC, we use the sequential detection to make a global decision about the PU channel status. Based on this, we also consider a truncation scenario of the sequential detection under the sensing delay constraint, and further derive a closed-form performance expression, in terms of the CSS performance and cooperative efficiency. At last, the simulation results verify that the performance and cooperative efficiency of MSM outperforms that of the traditional MUM in a low EC.
In this paper, we present a good example of extreme solar and geomagnetic activities from October to November, 2003. These activities are characterized by very large sunspot groups, X-class solar flares, strong particle events, and huge geomagnetic storms. We discuss ground-based and space-based data in terms of space weather scales. Especially, we present several solar and geomagnetic disturbance data produced in Korea : sunspots, geo-magnetograms, aurora, Ionogram, and Total Electron Content (TEC) map by GPS data. Finally, we introduce some examples of the satellite orbit and communication effects caused by these activities; e.g., the disturbances of the KOMPSAT-1 operational orbit and HF communication.

Currently, there are varieties of communication media options, such as E-mail, Instant Message, SMS and Computer discussion group. These genres keep expanding with the integration of computers and wireless technologies and even more it allows people to communicate at different time without travelling distances, However, it is mostly impossible the one communication media satisfies the same task demands under different situations. And online communication media can not reach the actual purpose of traditional communication in keeping the interpersonal relationship and richness of communication by sharing time and physical space. Therefore, we researched and examined on the current state of appropriateness communication style in different given situation as affected by requirement and its characteristics. With the result in research and survey, we suggested new communication style mediated by everyday thing through the case study.

In this paper, we introduce the concept of the cube satellite Chungnam National University Laser Unity Bus (CLUB), which can provide an integrated infrastructure for various ground-space laser applications. With the advent of the new space era, the rapid expansion of space utilization has begun to reveal the limitations of conventional radio frequencies. As space missions diversify, lasers are garnering attention as a viable alternative. Between ground and space, lasers are applied in various fields including satellite laser ranging (SLR), laser weapons, and laser communication. However, laser used between the ground and space are significantly influenced by the Earth's atmosphere. Consequently, understanding the atmospheric effects on laser propagation is crucial. In particular, atmospheric turbulence, which refracts and distorts laser beams, intensifies closer to the Earth's surface, exerting a greater impact on the uplink than on the downlink. While downlink verification is facilitated by ground detection, verifying the uplink poses challenges due to the necessity of space-based detection. In response to these challenges, we propose the idea of cube satellite as a means to enhance understanding and verification of laser propagation in the uplink. Additionally, we present the results of conceptual design by analyzing requirements, focusing on mission design of the CLUB cube satellite, following the stages of systems engineering for systematic cube satellite development.
