  • Recently, the development of new energy technologies has become a hot topic due to problems, such as global warming. Unlike renewable energy technologies, such as solar energy generation, solar power, and wind power, which are optimized to achieve medium or above output power, the output power of energy harvesting technology is very small and has not received much attention. On the other hand, as the mobile industry has been revitalized recently, the utility of energy harvesting technology has been reevaluated. In addition, the technology of tracking the maximum power point has been actively researched. This paper proposes a new MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) control method for a TEM(thermoelectric module) for load resistance. The V-I curve characteristics and internal resistance of TEM were analyzed and the conventional MPPT control methods were compared. The P&O(Perturbation and Observation) control method is more accurate, but it is less economical than the CV (Constant Voltage)control method because it usestwo sensors to measure the voltage and current source. The CV control method is superior to the P&O control method in economic aspects because it uses only one voltage sensor but the MPP is not matched precisely. In this paper, a method wasdesigned to track the MPP of TEM combining the advantages of the two control method. The proposed MPPT control method wasverified by PSIM simulation and H/W implementation.

  • The solar cell need the characteristic interpreting because the solar cell changes greatly according to the isolation, temperature and load in the photovoltaic development. Moreover, to get many energy in photovoltaic development need the position tracking of the sun according to the environment change. Also, The solar cells should be operated at the maximum power point. In this paper, I used microprocessor and sensor and designed to improve the efficiency of the photovoltaic system the photovoltaic position tracker device, and compared the normal photovoltaic system of fixed form with the photovoltaic system of solar position tracked form. Moreover, compared the catalogue of solar cell module and the simulation through a mathematics modelling with the solar cell's characteristic interpreting and composed an power conversion system with boost converter and voltage source inverter. Used the constant voltage control method for maximum power point tracking in boost converter control and, used the SPWM(Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation) control method in inverter control. The result was less then 5% when compared the catalogue of solar cell module and the simulation through a mathematics modelling. The boost rate of boost converter was similar to 167 % with the simulation.

  • During the development of the software, a variety of bugs are reported. Several bug tracking systems, such as, Bugzilla, MantisBT, Trac, JIRA, are used to deal with reported bug information in many open source development projects. Bug reports in bug tracking system would be triaged to manage bugs and determine developer who is responsible for resolving the bug report. As the size of the software is increasingly growing and bug reports tend to be duplicated, bug triage becomes more and more complex and difficult. In this paper, we present an approach to assign bug reports to appropriate developers, which is a main part of bug triage task. At first, words which have been included the resolved bug reports are classified according to each developer. Second, words in newly bug reports are selected. After first and second steps, vectors whose items are the selected words are generated. At the third step, TF-IDF(Term frequency - Inverse document frequency) of the each selected words are computed, which is the weight value of each vector item. Finally, the developers are recommended based on the similarity between the developer's word vector and the vector of new bug report. We conducted an experiment on Eclipse JDT and CDT project to show the applicability of the proposed approach. We also compared the proposed approach with an existing study which is based on machine learning. The experimental results show that the proposed approach is superior to existing method.

  • Real-time virtual studios which could run only on expensive workstations are now available for personal computers thanks to the recent development of graphics hardware. Nevertheless, graphics are rendered off-line in the post production stage in film or TV drama productions, because the graphics' quality is still restricted by the real-time hardware. Software-based camera tracking methods taking only the source video into account take much computation time, and often shows unstable results. To overcome this restriction, we propose a system that stores camera motion data from sensors at shooting time as common virtual studios and uses them in the post production stage, named as POVIS(post virtual imaging system). For seamless registration of graphics onto the camera video, precise zoom lens calibration must precede the post production. A practical method using only two planar patterns is used in this work. We present a method to reduce the camera sensor's error due to the mechanical mismatch, using the Kalman filter. POVIS was successfully used to track the camera in a documentary production and saved much of the processing time, while conventional methods failed due to lack of features to track.

  • In this research, we propose a new method for tracking the release rate using the concentration data obtained from the sensor. We used a sensor network that has already been set surrounding the area where hazardous gas releases can occur. From the real-time sensor data, we detected and analyzed releases of harmful materials and their concentrations. Based on the results, the release rate is estimated using the neural network. This model consists of 14 input variables (sensor data, material properties, process information, meteorological conditions) and one output (release rate). The dispersion model then performs the simulation of the expected dispersion consequence by combining the sensor data, GIS data and the diagnostic result of the source term. The result of this study will improve the safety-concerns of residents living next to storage facilities containing hazardous materials by providing the enhanced emergency response plan and monitoring system for toxic gas releases.

  • If a fire breaks out in a building, occupants can evacuate more rapidly if they are able to identify the location of the fire, the exits, and themselves. This study derives the requirements of system development, such as distance non-limitation, a non-additional device, a non-centralized server system, and low power for an emergency, to identify information about the fire and the location of evacuees. The objective is to receive and transmit information and reduce the time and effort of the database for location tracking. Accordingly, this study develops a server-independent system that collects information related to a building fire and an evacuee's location and provides information to the evacuee on their mobile device. The system is composed of a transmitting unit to disseminate fire location information and a mobile device application to determine the locations of the fire and the evacuee. The developed system can contribute to reducing the damage to humans because evacuees can identify the location of the fire, exits, and themselves regardless of the impaired server system by fire, the interruption of power source, and the evacuee's location. Furthermore, this study proposes a theoretical basis for reducing the effort required for database construction of the k-nearest neighbor fingerprint.

  • Design patterns are used to utilize well-defined design information. As using these design patterns, we can get re-use in object-oriented paradigm, decrease the time of development and improvement the quality of software. Although these design patterns are widely used among practice, most of design patterns information is manually used, inconsistent and its utilization could be very low. Because the design patterns information that a designer applies does not appear in software, it is sometimes difficult to track them. In this paper, we propose a tool support for design pattern-oriented software development. This tool supports design pattern management, software design and automatic source code generation. The design pattern management has the function for storing, managing and analyzing the existing design pattern and registering new design pattern. The software design has the function for software design with UML and automatically generate design pattern elements. By using this design information, this system can automatically generate source code. In the result to include the tracking design pattern element that is not Included In the existing CASE tools into design information, we can build the stable and efficient system that provides to analyse software, manage design pattern and automatically generate source code.

  • Radiation sources used in the field of industrial non-destructive pose a risk of exposure due to ageing equipment and operator carelessness. Thus, the need for a safety management system to trace the location of the source is being added. In this study, Monte Carlo Simulation was performed to analyse the angle dependence of the unit-cell comprising the line-array dosimeter for tracking the location of radiation sources. As a result, the margin of error for the top 10% of each slope was 5.90% at $0^{\circ}$, 8.08% at $30^{\circ}$, and 20.90% at $60^{\circ}$. The ratio of the total absorbed dose was 83.77% at $30^{\circ}$ and 53.36% at $60^{\circ}$ based on $0^{\circ}$(100%) and showed a tendency to decrease with increasing slope. For all gradients, the maximum number was shown at $30^{\circ}$ No. 9 pixels, and for No. 10, there was a tendency to drop 7.24 percent. This study has shown a large amount of angle dependence, and it is estimated that the proper distance between the source and line-array dosimeters should be maintained at a distance of not less than 1 cm to reduce them.

  • A digital controller can simply realize a complex operation algorithm and power control process which can not be applied by an analog circuit for a solar array regulator(SAR). The digital resistive control(DRC) makes an equivalent input impedance of the SAR be resistive characteristic. The resistance of the solar array varies largely in a voltage source region and slightly in a current source region. Therefore when the solar array regulator is controlled by the DRC, the Advanced Incremental Conductance MPPT Algorithm with a Variable Step Size(AIC-MPPT-VSS) is suitable. The AIC-MPPT-VSS, however, using small signal resistance and large signal resistance of the solar array can not limit the absolute value of the solar array power. In this paper, the solar array power limiter is suggested and the BUCK-BOOST type SAR which is fully controlled by the digital controller is verified by simulation.

  • In astronomical spectroscopy, stable auto-guiding and accurate target centering capabilities are critical to increase the achievement of high observation efficiency and sensitivity. We developed an instrument control software for the Immersion GRating INfrared Spectrograph (IGRINS), a high spectral resolution near-infrared slit spectrograph with (R=40,000). IGRINS is currently installed on the McDonald 2.7 m telescope in Texas, USA. We had successful commissioning observations in March, May, and July of 2014. The role of the IGRINS slit-viewing camera (SVC) is to move the target onto the slit, and to provide feedback about the tracking offsets for the auto-guiding. For a point source, we guide the telescope with the target on the slit. While for an extended source, we use another a guide star in the field offset from the slit. Since the slit blocks the center of the point spread function, it is challenging to fit the Gaussian function to guide and center the target on slit. We developed several center finding algorithms, e.g., 2D-Gaussian Fitting, 1D-Gaussian Fitting, and Center Balancing methods. In this presentation, we show the results of auto-guiding performances with these algorithms.
