This research focused on studying the phenomena of activity injuries occurred in military service, the object of which is soldiering soldiers in army. I made a inquiry paper including 6 items such as injury frequency, athletic event when you are injured, injury pattern, injury part in body and injury time according to military classes, and distributed it to elected 421 soldiers, the number of which is the total number of injured soldiers having time for physical activities in a year(last 2002 year). The results were as follows ; First, Injury frequency was according to private middle classes, private second classes, private last classes, private first classes. Second, Athletic event when you are injured was according to soccer, basketball, running and Martial Art(Taekwondo). 1) An abrasion was the most injury pattern when playing soccer. 2) A sprain was the most injury pattern when playing basketball. Third, Most causes of injuries dued to his / her carelessness, which is his / her excessive greed to win. Fourth, The most injury pattern was a skin abrasion. Fifth, The most injury part in body was a leg. Sixth, There was the most injury in summer. Wednesday on week, especially afternoon when you have time for physical to improve your battle-power.

The object of this research is to inform readers of the chronikal change of Military Uniform in wars how the features and colors of uniforms have been changed along with the innovations of firearms. Military uniforms can be put into two differ-ent categories which are 'Battle wear' and 'Rank wear' A battle wear features of protec-tion and user fiendliness, These features of a battle wear can possibly minimize injuries and help increase the level of battling perform-ance. On the other hand a rank wear help dis-tinguish soldiers from their ranks and posi-tions. A rank wear symbolizs the pride that soldiers take n their unit and by wearing a rank wear soldiers feel more attached to their collegues and unit. Concrete process of military uniforms is as follows. 1. As firearms were innovated corres-pondant innovation of military uniforms were also needed this innovation were in the formstructure design color etc. 2. In the beginning features of military uniforms changed toward protection and then after social status of solders rised features changed forward show-off Finally as firearms became more fortal camouflage became the most significant feature of the military uniforms. 3. During war colors of military uniforms tended to be a means of show -off and camou- flage and while not in war they functioned as symbol which represent froops and the unit is tradition. 4. Other accessaries support the perforance and the symbolical function of uniforms.

It is very important to share tactical information such as video, images, and text messages among soldiers for situational awareness. Under the wireless environment of the battlefield, the available bandwidth varies dynamically and is insufficient to transmit high quality images, so it is necessary to minimize the distortion of the area of interests such as targets. A natural operating method for soldiers is also required considering the difficulty in handling while moving. In this paper, we propose a natural ROI(region of interest) setting and image compression method for effective image sharing among soldiers. We verify the proposed method through prototype system design and implementation of eye gaze detection and ROI-based image compression.

Background and Purpose : To investigate the wild plants to be used for survival on tactical activity of Special Forces soldiers at deep enemy's territory Material and Methods : To investigate the wild plants, I selected various native plants in the forests and fields that can be used for medical cure and eatables. And I selected some poisonous plants and some plants containing water or salts, after due consideration of tactical activity and use in the battle-fields. Results and Conclusion : There are many wild plants to be used for multiple purpose in our country. We can get from these plants emergency medicines, foods, even water and salts. I chose 6 species of digestives, 11 species of analgesics, 9 species of antiphlogistics, 7 species of hemostatics, 5 species of antidiarheal, 5 species of diuretics, 2 species of laxatives, 7 species of antipyretics, 1 species of vermicide and 45 species of eatable plants and 12 species of poisonous plants. and I summarized general name, scientific name, component, picking season, used portion, taking method of these plants. Building up accurate knowledge on the wild plants could contributed to raise survival rate of Special Forces soldiers in the battle-fields.

The special organization that our military service is conscripted by the duty of national defense purposes to the period of military service. So couple of soldiers are think as the corresponds to college, or some knowledge layer from the operating management discarding period, lifetime value. But, now a day changed of the military life, it is when the individual soldiers can have some self-development and the lifelong education in terms of a period, and can changeing the footsteps of the new life that the function as a 'bridge' to activate production of barracks life. So that it can be supported themselves need to strive for human resource development. This study aims to confirm the appropriateness of fruit and vegetable sales at military commissaries, with the purpose of enhancing the physical health and morale of military personnel. In order to achieve this objective, we examined the actual conditions of fruit and vegetable sales at military commissaries and analyzed the soldiers' awareness of fruit and vegetable sales through questionnaire surveys. The conclusions of this study are as follows: Firstly, fresh fruits and vegetables were not sold at military commissaries. Secondly, soldiers acknowledged the need for the consumption of fruits and vegetables and strongly expressed the desire for these fresh food products to be sold at military commissaries. Although the ROK Navy privatized military commissaries for the purposes of increasing management efficiency of national defense and strengthening combat power by transferring PX salesclerk soldiers to join combat personnel, this effort produced a negative effect of price increase. The following are proposals for improving this condition: fruit and vegetable products should be introduced to military commissaries through military welfare funds; fresh food markets should be established by closely cooperating with the local community's agricultural producers; processed fruit and vegetable product (dry, frozen, airtight packaged, etc.) sales should be increased; and the privatization of the navy commissaries should be abolished.

This Female soldiers today have a child-rearing problem, dealing with the environment and numerous hardships arising from their professional family composition such as working overtime and moving directors due to their characteristics during military service. Also, female soldiers are deepening with the unique duties of the military and frequent training sessions and night shifts, and the hardships of the status quo are continuing, for this reason the heavy responsibilities and stresses of the female military in charge of child care are reaching an extreme. Therefore, this study needs to study institutional measures to ensure the service conditions of female soldiers during the period of child care and to improve child care.

Purpose - This study deals with the Openness to Diversity(OD) of soldiers in the military organization for efficient unit operation of the military organization composed of various soldier. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of information and value OD on innovative behavior and the mediating effect of unit-members trust. Design/methodology/approach - The 269 samples of this study were surveyed on army soldiers. The Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), the multiple regression, bootstraping analysis were hired in order to analyze the data. Findings - The results showed that the information & value OD were positive(+) effect on innovative behavior. Unit-members trust showed a mediation effect between OD and innovative behavior. Research implications or Originality - First, according to Defense Reform 2.0, the military is expected to be composed of more diverse classes in the future. There is a theoretical contribution that examine their perception of diversity within the military. Second, OD was confirmed as a variable predicting the innovative behavior of soldiers and unit-memeber trust mediate the relationship between OD and invative behavior.

This study investigated the problems of Korean female combat uniforms and collected primary data for developing new combat uniforms with improved functionality. We analyzed fit and motion suitability by administering a questionnaire evaluating the current uniforms to 20 Korean female soldiers. The evaluation of fit suitability found that satisfaction with the combat uniforms was generally high. However, short sleeve length, large wrist circumference, small hip circumference, large ankle circumference, and low crotch height were discomfort factors. In the evaluation of motion suitability, dissatisfaction was found with the sleeve circumference, elbow circumference, armhole circumference, knee crease and crotch height, and back waist height during motion. Therefore, it is necessary to establish a more segmented size system that suits the physique of current female soldiers and to devise appropriate solutions for improving motion suitability. This study is meaningful for its evaluation of the current combat uniform of female soldiers, and it is expected to serve as a reference for the future development of military combat uniforms for this group.

The purpose of this study was to examine the satisfaction level of military personnels dispatched to Iraq with foodservices in a bid to help establish an efficient overseas military foodservice system. A total of 300 soldiers who served in an army division dispatched to Iraq was surveyed for this study. Regarding connections between the type of management and satisfaction level with foodservices, the contracted cafeterias were more satisfactory in terms of service than the military selfoperated ones, which indicated that it’s urgently needed to improve the service of the military-run cafeterias. The present work force of the Ministry of Defence makes it hard to provide military personnels with specialized foodservices. The military foodservice should provide meals to soldiers with quality. More branded concepts should be improved in the view of cost and effect. Or it’s advisable to take advantage of private resources as part of efforts for civil-military collaboration.
