Currently, the world is paying keen attention to the production of renewable energy along with environmental issues, and the share of renewable energy in the world is rising above that of nuclear power. Especially when Korea, which is heavily dependent on foreign countries, needs to reconsider its national competitiveness due to the recent high oil prices, the government's energy policy is to develop and use renewable energy that replaces fossil fuels. In particular, solar energy, the most actively studied and commercialized field of renewable energy, is the main research for solar energy and is commercialized and used. However, the efficiency of solar energy has already reached saturation. Studies are also focusing on increasing the reflectivity of solar energy to increase efficiency. Therefore, this paper proposes a solar collection system that can utilize solar energy rather than solar energy. The proposed solar heat collection system uses solar tracking systems to effectively collect solar energy, particularly those that can be easily produced using single-modular reflectors and have price competitiveness. In addition, temperature measurement experiments with temperature measuring sensors were conducted to ensure reliability in order to verify the results interpreted.
Airtightness standards using fan pressurization method are normally used for measuring small buildings, detached houses, and apartment units. And, it is easy to conduct airtightness measurement through this fan pressurization method. However, it can be difficult to achieve accurate measurement results for the large buildings as the height and volume of the buildings have been increased. In this paper, we studied the principle of airtightness method by fan pressurization. And, we reviewed the measurement process described in ISO 9972, EN 13829, ASTM E779, ATTMA TS 1, CAN/CGSB 149.15, and JIS A 2201. Then, we categorized the methods' items according by air flow rate (Q) and pressure difference(${\Delta}P$). As a result, we made a comparison analysis on the measurement methods appeared in each standards. And, we achieved 5 test conditions about air flow rate and pressure difference to state requirements for large buildings airtightness measurement.
The temporal and spatial distributions of surface solar radiation were calculated by the one layer solar radiative transfer model(GWNU) which was corrected by multi layer Line-by-Line(LBL) model during 2009 in South Korea. The aerosol optical thickness, ozone amount, cloud fraction and total precipitable water were used as the input data for GWNU model run and they were retrieved from Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer(MODIS), Ozone Monitoring Instrument(OMI), MTSAT-1R satellite data and the Regional Data Assimilation Prediction System(RDAPS) model result, respectively. The surface solar radiation was calculated with 4 km spatial resolution in South Korea region using the GWNU model and the results were compared with surface measurement(by pyranometer) data of 22 KMA solar sites. The maximum values(more than $5,400MJ/m^2$) of model calculated annual solar radiation were found in Andong, Daegu and Jinju regions and these results were corresponded with the MTSAT-1R cloud amount data. However, the spatial distribution of surface measurement data was comparatively different from the model calculation because of the insufficient correction and management problems for the sites instruments(pyranometer).

$CuGaSe_2$ (CGS) layers were grown by the hot wall epitaxy method. The optimum temperatures of the substrate and source for growth turned out to be 450 and $610^{\circ}C$, respectively. Based on the absorption measurement, the band-gap variation of CGS was well interpreted by the Varshni's equation. By analyzing these emissions, a band diagram of the observed optical transitions was obtained. From the solar cell measurement, an 11.17 % efficiency on the n-CdS/p-CGS junction was achieved.

Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 thin film solar cells have been fabricated using sputtered Cu/Sn/Zn metallic precursors on Mo coated sodalime glass substrate without using a toxic H2Se and H2S atmosphere. Cu/Sn/Zn metallic precursors with various thicknesses were prepared using DC magnetron sputtering process at room temperature. As-deposited metallic precursors were sulfo-selenized inside a graphite box containing S and Se pellets using rapid thermal processing furnace at various sulfur to selenium (S/Se) compositional ratio. Thin film solar cells were fabricated after sulfo-selenization process using a 65 nm CdS buffer, a 40 nm intrinsic ZnO, a 400 nm Al doped ZnO, and Al/Ni top metal contact. Effects of sulfur to selenium (S/Se) compositional ratio on the microstructure, crystallinity, electrical properties, and cell efficiencies have been studied using X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscope, I-V measurement system, solar simulator, quantum efficiency measurement system, and time resolved photoluminescence spectrometer. Our fabricated Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 thin film solar cell shows the best conversion efficiency of 9.24 % (Voc : 454.6 mV, Jsc : 32.14 mA/cm2, FF : 63.29 %, and active area : 0.433 cm2), which is the highest efficiency among Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4 thin film solar cells prepared using sputter deposited metallic precursors and without using a toxic H2Se gas. Details about other experimental results will be discussed during the presentation.
Radio wave from a compact radio source such as a quasar are scattered by irregularities of electron density. The scattered waves interfere with each other as they propagate to the Earth producing diffraction patterns on the ground. This phenomenon is called interplanetary scintillation (IPS). The IPS pattern contains the information of solar wind velocities and density fluctuations passing across a line-of-sight (LOS) from an observer to a radio source. The IPS is a useful tool which allows us to measure the solar wind in three dimensional space inaccessible to in situ observations. Although the IPS measurement is an integral of solar wind velocities and density fluctuations along the LOS, which causes degradation of accuracy, we have succeeded to develop computer assisted tomography (CAT) analysis to remove the effect of LOS integration. These techniques greatly improved the accuracy of determinations of solar wind velocity structures. In this talk we present our IPS observation system and long-term variation of global solar wind structures from 1980-2009, then we focus on recent peculiar solar wind properties.

The advantages of solar energy are that it is renewable, infinite supplied and environmentally safe energy source. However, solar energy related products have the problems such as the limitation for installation, problems in maintenance and insufficient reliability which have been the barrier to consumers to satisfy the purchase need for solar heat related products. In this regard, in order to support the solar energy related companies the necessity for various technical information required for the commercialization of new products such as various performance test necessary for the certification of solar energy system, standardization for facilities and products, performance evaluation method and the measurement of performance is suggested. The purpose of this paper is to design the monitoring system for positive tests of system linked household hot water system using solar heat out of various solar energy systems, to establish an analysis and monitoring system for performance maintenance and operation technique, and to configure the centralized detection network by utilizing remote monitoring system. This research also aims at conducting monitoring for operation and performance evaluation in relation to database establishment and analytical evaluation and at describing the method of enhancing the reliability of solar energy system through the development of performance evaluation program.

As a first step to develop the hybrid power generation system, on this study, the time-variable resources of wind and solar radiation of Yeongdo, Busan, Korea had been measured during June and July 2013. And the quantity of generated wind power and solar photovoltaic had also been measured during the same period. It is found out that the wind mainly flew from southwest at the average speed of 2 m/s during 2 months. And it is clear that, because of the low wind velocity, the wind quality to generate the power seems not enough at this area. Meanwhile solar radiation was measured every daytime (6:00~19:00) and the peak solar radiation occurred around 12:00~14:00. And it is clear that the time-based variations of quantity of generated power were proportional to the variations of these resources, respectively. As a proposal, these 2 natural energies can be combined as resources of a hybrid system, because these 2 patterns are not overlapped so much on time base.
The thermoelectric generator using solar heat was applied to the device (heat-electricity conversion device) to produce small-scale electricity. The purpose of this study was to investigate the characteristics and performance of the device, which equipped with heat pipe as heat source. The experimental results showed that efficiency of circular single evacuated solar collector was higher 2.7 times than that of rectangular solar collector. Furthermore maximum power of 5 watt was obtained when 2 devices with series array were used and it could be more improved by increasing the number of device or measurement time.
