  • The Closed Control System, which uses exclusive network and protocol, have been adopted in TM/TC systems. However, the Closed Control System is known that it is not able to support the integration in the water management automation. There are two methods in integration solution in different types of TM/TC System. One solution is hardware system integration that is very expensive and impractical. The other solution is software system integration that uses OLE for Process Control(OPC). In this study, we recommend OPC solution, for KARICO water management, that is the practical and efficient. KARICO is using OPC technology in MMI(Man machine Interface) and water management program. Through this technology, the real-time status of reservoir, pumping station and canal can be achieved without difficulty.

  • A new analytical solution based on a third order shear deformation theory for the problem of static analysis of cross-ply doubly-curved shells is presented. The boundary-discontinuous generalized double Fourier series method is used to solve highly coupled linear partial differential equations with the mixed type simply supported boundary conditions prescribed on the edges. The complementary boundary constraints are introduced through boundary discontinuities generated by the selected boundary conditions for the derivation of the complementary solution. The numerical accuracy of the solution is compared by studying the comparisons of deflections, stresses and moments of symmetric and anti-symmetric laminated shells with finite element results using commercially available software under uniformly distributed load. Results are in good agreement with finite element counterparts. Additional results of the symmetric and anti-symmetric laminated and sandwich shells under single point load at the center and pressure load, are presented to provide data for the unsolved boundary conditions, benchmark comparisons and verifications.

  • Research in the decision sciences has continued to develop a variety of mathematical models as well as software tools supporting corporate decision-making. Yet. in spite of their potential usefulness, the models are little used in real-world decision making since the model solution processes are too complex for ordinary users to get accustomed. This paper proposes an intelligent and flexible model-solver integration framework that enables the user to solve decision problems using multiple models and solvers without having precise knowledge of the model-solution processes. Specifically, for intuitive model-solution, the framework enables a decision support system to suggest the compatible solvers of a model autonomously without direct user intervention and to solve the model by matching the model and solver parameters intelligently without any serious conflicts. Thus, the framework would improve the productivity of institutional model solving tasks by relieving the user from the burden of leaning model and solver semantics requiring considerable time and efforts.

  • Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is been developing in many countries. The satellite navigation system has the importance in economic and military fields. For utilizing satellite navigation system properly, the technology of GNSS Ground Station is needed. GNSS Ground Station monitors the signal of navigation satellite and analyzes navigation solution. This study deals with the navigation software for GNSS Ground Station. This paper will introduce the navigation solution algorithm for GNSS Ground Station. The navigation solution can be calculated by the code-carrier smoothing method, the Kalman-filter method, the least-square method, and the weight least square method. The performance of each navigation algorithm in this paper is presented.

  • In this paper, a software-based real-time GPS L1 receiver is proposed for the block correlation techniques. Recently various navigation satellite navigation receivers in the environment for the development of more efficient software-based real-time receiver need to be developed. It is composed of components such as signal supplier, signal acquisition, signal tracking, navigation data processing, and navigation solution. They are designed and implemented as component based software for enhancing reusability and modifiability for user to have more flexibility during development of receiver. This paper will describe design, implementation, and verification of the developed realtime software GNSS receiver.

  • Blockchain is a distributed network in a decentralized P2P infrastructure. In this paper, we propose and implement a blockchain-based pet trade service DApp(Decentralized Application). In the existing trading services, there is no way to know the status of dogs in interpersonal transactions and an additional distribution cost has been incurred. As a solution to this problem, we introduce a blockchain technology for a pet trade service where users can check whether an individual pet is healthy or not by its registered biometric data in order to have an efficient and confident trade service. The registered users can purchase puppies or registering information for their dogs to sell through a pet trade service DApp. It is also possible to make a reliable trade by verifying whether the dog is actually the same one through an inscription information of a dog.

  • One of the largest problems for tokamak devices such as Kazakhstan Tokamak for Material Testing (KTM) is the operation scenarios' development and execution. Operation scenarios may be varied often, so a convenient hardware and software solution is required for scenario management and execution. Dozens of diagnostic and control subsystems with numerous configuration settings may be used in an experiment, so it is required to automate the subsystem configuration process to coordinate changes of the related settings and to prevent errors. Most of the diagnostic and control subsystems software at KTM was unified using an extra software layer, describing the hardware abstraction interface. The experiment sequence was described using a command language. The whole infrastructure was brought together by a universal communication protocol supporting various media, including Ethernet and serial links. The operation sequence execution infrastructure was used at KTM to carry out plasma experiments.

  • The aircraft manufacturers are constantly driving to reduce manufacturing lead times and cost at the same time as the product complexity increases and technology continues to change. Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) is a solution that allows the aviation industry to manage their avionics complexity. IMA defines an integrated system architecture that preserves the fault containment and 'separation of concerns' properties of the federated architectures. In software side, the air transport industry has developed ARINC 653 specification as a standardized Real Time Operating System (RTOS) interface definition for IMA. It allows hosting multiple applications of different software levels on the same hardware in the context of IMA architecture. This paper describes a study that provided the avionics software design for separation of fault and backup of core function to reduce workload of pilot with cost efficiency.

  • One major concern of applying Multipath TCP (MPTCP) to data delivery in heterogeneous wireless networks is that the utilization of asymmetric paths with diverse networking-related parameters may cause severe packet reordering and receive buffer blocking (RB2LOC). Although many efforts are devoting to addressing MPTCP's packet reordering problems, their sender-controlled solutions do not consider balancing overhead between an MPTCP sender and receiver, and their fully MPTCP mode cannot make MPTCP achieve a desired performance. This paper proposes a novel receiver-centric buffer blocking-aware data scheduling strategy for MPTCP (dubbed MPTCP-rec) necessitating the following aims: (1) alleviating MPTCP's packet reordering and RB2LOC problems, (2) improving the MPTCP performance, and (3) balancing load between the MPTCP sender and receiver. Simulation results show that the proposed MPTCP-rec solution outperforms the existing MPTCP solutions in terms of data delivery performance in heterogeneous wireless networks.

  • While architectural patterns provide software development solutions by providing schemas for structural organizations of software systems based on empirical knowledge, Jackson's problem frames provide a method of analyzing software problems. Problem frames are useful to understanding the software development problem, by putting emphasis on the problem domain, rather than on the solution space. Research exists that relates problem frames and software architecture, but most of this research uses problem frames only to understand given problems. Moreover, none of the existing research derives architectural patterns by considering both problem frames and quality attributes. In this paper, we propose a software architecture design method for pattern-based architecture design, by matching problem frames and architectural patterns. To that end, our approach first develops the problem model based on the problem frames approach, and then uses it to match with candidate architectural patterns, from the perspectives of both functionality, and quality attributes. Functional matching uses the problem frame diagram to match the problem model of an architectural pattern. We conduct a case study to show that our approach can systematically decide the right architectural patterns, and provide a basis for fine-grained software architecture design.
