  • This paper discusses the characteristics of sheath circulating current as well as the development and application of new software for underground power cable systems. Generally, in steady state, high sheath circulating current causes the increase of sheath temperature and thermal resistance which leads to the steeply reduction of the power capacity. Therefore, the exact calculation of sheath circulating current is required for analysis about the influence of high sheath current on permissible current. In this paper, Power Cable Simulator is developed for calculation of the sheath current. It can analyse the sheath current by real time. It is also easier to use than conventional software, such as EMTP and CabSim, because all the data for calculating the cable parameters are stored in a database(DB) within Power Cable Simulator. In addition, the accuracy of Power Cable Simulator is also proved through the comparison among the current calculated by Power Cable Simulator, EMTP and Cabsim with measured current.

  • Electronic control technologies that have long been developed for passenger cars spread to construction equipment and agricultural vehicles because of its outstanding performance achieved by embedded software. Especially, system program of transmission control unit (TCU) plays a crucial role for the superb shift quality, driving performance and fuel efficiency, etc. Since the control algorithm is embedded in software that is rarely analyzed, development of such a TCU cannot be conducted by conventional reverse engineering. Transmission simulator is a kind of electronic device that simulates the electric signals including driver operation command and output of various sensors installed in transmission. Standalone TCU can be run in normal operation mode with the signals provided by transmission simulator. In this research, transmission simulator for the tracked vehicle TCU is developed for the analysis of shift control algorithm from the experiments with standalone TCU. It was confirmed that shift experimental data for the simulator setup conditions can be used for the analysis of control algorithms on proportional solenoid valves and shift map.

  • In this paper, we propose a design and development method of an elevator simulator that can be used as an embedded application layer software learning tool and a teaching and learning method using it. The simulator provides students with an environment to implement the operating principle and control method of the elevator system in the application layer excluding the issues of hardware and embedded OS layer. This allows students to have a reactive and real-time embedded application development experience. In addition, we present a four-week embedded application software training course with hands-on exercises that add step-by-step functionality using a simulator. As a result of training for actual students, we obtained 83.3 points of learning achievement score and proved that the curriculum has a significant effect on embedded application learning.

  • Currently, aircraft simulator has drawn a great attention because it has significant advantages of economic, temporal, and spatial costs compared with pilot training with real aircraft. Among the components of the aircraft simulator, flight dynamic model plays a key role in simulating the flight of an actual aircraft. Hence, it is important to verify the fidelity of flight dynamic model with an automated tool. In this paper, we develop a software to automatically verify the fidelity of the flight mechanics model for the efficient development of the aircraft simulator. After designing the software structure and GUI based on the requirements derived from the fidelity verification process, the software is implemented with C # language in Window-based environment. Experimental results on CTSW models show that the developed software is effective in terms of function, performance and user convenience.

  • During the development of flight software, the processor emulator and satellite simulator are essential tools for software development and verification. SWT/KARI developed the software-based spacecraft simulator based on TSIM-ERC32 processor emulator from Aeroflex Gaisler. But when developing flight software using TSIM-ERC32, there are much limitation for understanding of exact behavior of ERC32 processor, and it is impossible to change or modify the emulator core to develop the satellite simulator. To reslove this problem, this paper presents the development of new cycle-true ERC32 emulator as laysim-erc32 and describes the software development and debugging method on VxWorks/RTEMS RTOS.

  • Retargetability is typically achieved by providing target machine information, ADL, as input. The ADL are used to specify processor and memory architectures and generate software toolkit including compiler, simulator, etc. Simulator are critical components of the exploration and software design toolkit for the system designer. They can be used to perform diverse tasks such as verifying the functionality and/or timing behavior of the system, and generating quantitative measurements(e.g., power energy consumption) which can be used to aid the design process. In this paper, we generate the energy consumption estimation simulator through ADL. For this goal, firstly, we describes the energy consumption estimation and monitoring informations on the ADL based on EXPRESSION. Secondly, we generate the energy estimation and monitoring simulation library and then constructs the simulator, RenergySim. Lastly, we represent the energy estimations results for MIPS R4000 ADL description. From this subjects, we contribute to the efficient architecture developments and prompt SDK generation through programmable experiments in the field of mobile software development.

  • In this paper Vehicle driving simulator have been used in the development and modification of models. A real-time simulation system and washout algorithm for an excavator have been developed for a driving simulator with six degrees of freedom. An interesting question, "how the 6 DOF Driving Simulator can be controlled optimally for the various tasks?" is not easy to be answered. This paper presents the hardware and software developed for a driving simulator of construction vehicle. A simulator can reduce cost and time a variety of driving simulations in the laboratory. Using its 6 DOF Simulator can move in various modes, and perform dexterous tasks. Driving simulators have begun to proliferate in the automotive industry and the associated research community. This effort involves the real-time dynamic of wheel-type excavator the design and manufacturing of the Stewart platform an integrated control system of the platform and three-dimensional graphic modeling of the driving environments.

  • This paper presents a graphical windows-based software for the education and training of transmission network charge. The motivation for the development of the simulator is to provide students with a simple and useable tool for gaining an intuitive feel for transmission network charge. The developed simulator consists of the main module (MMI, GUI), the power flow module (PF), the power flow tracing module (PFT), and usage cost DB module (UCD). Each module has a separate graphical and interactive interfacing window. The developed simulator provides with two power system analysis methods (i.e., DC-PF and Modified DC-PF) and supports the PSS/E input data format to load input data of power system. Also, power flow tracing can be calculate using four methods such as "Felix Wu", "Modified Felix Wu", "DCLF ICRP", and "Reverse MW mile". Results of calculation for transmission usage cost are displayed and compared on the window through the table and/or chart. Therefore, the developed simulator can be utilize as a useful tool for effective education and training of transmission network charge.
