중소기업을 위한 오픈소스 ERP의 도입에 관한 연구: 베트남 기업 사례를 중심으로 (Open Source ERP Software for Small-Medium Enterprise: A Case of Vietnamese Firm)

  • Most of enterprises use various applications for serving their routine business. One of most widespread applications is the enterprise resource planning (ERP). This paper focuses on open source ERP software and aims to find out what benefits it can bring to small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) comparing to proprietary ERP. To serve the purpose, this paper introduces the successful adoption of open source ERP software through the case study of small Vietnamese firm. The results of this paper show the advantage of open source ERP software and the possibility of adoption for SME.

Best Practice on Software Traceability Environment based on PaaS Cloud Service

  • In the software industry of Korean Small and Medium-sized Enterprise(SME)s, the development process is often not mature. This may lead to failures in quality control and output management. As a result, the quality of the software can be degraded. To solve the problem, the software visualization technique, which is from the National IT Industry Promotion Agency Software Engineering Center can be applied. We have experienced with mentoring not only the visualization of software development process, but also various visualization process of SMEs. However, the existing software visualization method was difficult to install environment and its time cost was high. This paper proposes a software visualization environment through a cloud service along with a case of building a software visualization environment. We expect that this method will make it easier to build a visualization environment and improve the quality of SME software.

  • Software export is very important for developing the domain software industry. Up to now, the study related in this issue is not enough even if exports are not activated. In our study, we treated and analyzed the three SME cases that have each successful record in recent years focusing to sales channels establishment and product localization. This study was done by interviewing the marketing directors mainly, and applied email exchanges, phones, and document analyses. Some implications can be addressed for the potential SME software exports. In the perspectives of sales channels building, the trust for product and firm itself is needed to have a good offshore partners. These are required to make the good relationship with partners, brand value's diffusion, and technical competency. As for product localization, the customization is important to meet the needs for local users effectively. So it is desirable to accept the advisory suggestions from the local consulting experts or representative customers. And the joint export strategy using the platform by linking some related products is effective for SME's software product's export.

중소기업 정보인프라 진단에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of SME's Information Infrastucture)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the components of SME's information infrastructure through literature review, empirically investigate the components, and develop a model for SME's information infrastructure. The fact that SME's are having difficulties in building their own information infrastructure due to the limitation of capital investment, technology, and manpower is the main motive for the study The survey questionnaires were distributed to CEO's and users of 3W SME's and intensive interviews were cornea out to CIO's and information services personnel to further investigate H/W and S/W components of Information Infrastructure. The study results show that there seems to be five main factors for SME's information infrastructure. They are: (1) Informatization Capacity, (2) Software and Network, (3) Management Recognition and Utilization, (4) Hardware, and (5) Alignment between Users and Information Services.

Analysing the Influence of Technology on the Business Performance of Rattan Processing SME's in South Kalimantan

  • Technology is one of the major competitive advantages for small and medium enterprises (SME), especially ones operating in the manufacturing sector. Increasing technological capabilities is the basis for SME's business performance improvement. The main problem of SME's is a limitation in the areas of production facilities, technology, and human resources. Some of these constraints cause a decline in business performance and competitiveness of SME's. In this case analysis of technology components has to be carried out to determine the effect of technology on SME's business performance improvement. This study aims to measure the components of technology and to analyze the influence of each technology component on business performance of rattan processing SME's in South Kalimantan. The assessment is carried out on the technoware, humanware, inforware, and orgaware components using the technometric method (UNESCAP). Business performance is measured through a combination of financial and non-financial aspects deducted from financial and marketing figures. Analysis of the influence of technology components on business performance of SME's is done using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with Partial Least Square software (PLS). Data is collected through interviews and questionnaires from 21 rattan processing SME's in South Kalimantan that produce rattan furnitures. The results show that the value of the contribution of technology (TCC) to the performance of rattan processing SME's in South Kalimantan is still quite low. Analysis of the results shows a direct influence of technoware and humanware on business performance, while orgaware influences business performance indirectly through humanware.

  • This research aims to determine the direct and indirect effects of digital literacy, economic literacy, and entrepreneurial skills on the performance of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in garment clusters in the Bulak tourism industry Depok. Carrying out quantitative research with survey methods, data collection is using a questionnaire technique with 90 respondents, via saturation sampling. This research data analysis uses SPSS software version 25.0. Path analysis is used to determine the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results showed digital literacy, economic literacy, and entrepreneurial skills significantly and positively affect the performance of small- and medium-sized enterprises. The main finding in this study is that digital literacy has the greatest influence on the performance of SME entrepreneurs, both directly and indirectly. The results of the study provide input on performance development strategies for SME entrepreneurs through digital literacy, including digital business relationships, online facilities, and networks. The findings are also complementary to the factors shaping the performance of SME entrepreneurs in the digital age. The research results show that digital literacy has the greatest direct and indirect influence on the performance of SME entrepreneurs; this shows the essential contribution of digital literacy in developing business and marketing networks.

  • SMBA (Small and Medium Business Administration) and TIPA (Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs) have operated the Business Innovation Platform for SME Informatization based on cloud computing technology with the cooperation of seven industry cooperatives since 2013. This project will evolve into the open market platform where service providers and users voluntarily participate and transact. This research conducts the literature review about the concept of open market and the empirical analysis through survey for the software providers and the future users regarding the future operation methods. The policy about how the open market strategy for the business innovation platform needs to be designed and implemented are organized as the three differentiated government support strategies. The first is to provide free IT services including specialized core operation support S/W which is developed only for the small or home office group of firms which lack minimal informatization capability and budget. The second is to augment IT platform service through incorporating ERP supplier initiated commercial S/W sales window for those firms having medium level informatization capability. This includes to provide IT support for customization and system integration with existing government subsidized S/W. The third is to provide upgrading services of existing S/W functions to facilitate better system utilization. The results provide useful insight for government role to enhance SME competitiveness using IT.

A Study on Application of Web 3.0 Technologies in Small and Medium Enterprises of India

  • The purpose of this study is to explore how small and medium enterprises in India has identified the opportunities and challenges in adopting the Web 3.0 technologies to improve their productivity and efficiency. After an in-depth literature review, researchers framed a semi-structured questionnaire with open-ended questions for collecting responses from managers working in 40 Indian SME's representing five key economic sectors. The collected data was analyzed, and themes were encoded using the NVivo 11 computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software. Content analysis was used to analyze the data collected with the semi-structured interviews. This study identified five key themes and 12 subthemes illustrating the key advantages and challenges as perceived by the managerial leadership of SMEs. The five key themes identified in this study include integration of data and services, the creation of new functionalities, privacy and security, financial and technological challenges, and organizational challenges. The results of this study will benefit the organizational leadership of SMEs in planning and developing their short-term and long-term information systems strategies and will enable SME leaders to make optimal use of their information technology assets, improving the productivity and competitiveness of the firms. Web 3.0 technologies are considered as emerging technologies, so the advantages and challenges of using these technologies for SMEs have not been explored in the context of emerging economies, such as India.

  • Overseas expansion by small and medium-sized enterprises of the Korean software industry has been sluggish, with many SMEs lacking the necessary capabilities required for successful entry into the overseas markets. This study aims to identify the capabilities SMEs require to advance into overseas markets and develop a diagnosis model for evaluating overseas entry capability appropriate to the characteristics of SMEs. A basic research was first performed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the characteristics of the software industry, software exports, and SMEs. Based on this research, the study aimed to develop a model for diagnosing overseas entry capability of SMEs by dividing the required overseas entry capability into globalization capability in product area and internal competence from a resource-based perspective. In addition, This study aims to contribute to the success of SMEs in overseas markets by presenting a diagnosis model that evaluates the capabilities required to advance into overseas markets.

어린이에서 저속 상악 확장에 따른 골격성, 치아치조성, 기도 변화에 대한 3차원적 평가 (Three Dimensional Skeletal, Dentoalveolar and Airway Space Changes after Slow Maxillary Expansion in Children)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 상악 확장 속도에 따른 치아치조성, 골격성 효과 및 상기도에 대한 효과를 CBCT를 통해 3차원적으로 분석하여 저속 상악 확장의 효과를 확인하는 것이다. 전북대학교 소아치과에서 Banded hyrax를 이용하여 상악 확장을 시행한 23명(평균 8.93 ± 1.61세)의 환자가 포함되었다. 확장 속도에 따라 저속 상악 확장군과 급속 상악 확장군으로 분류되었다. 치료 전후의 치아치조성, 골격성, 기도 부피 변화를 평가하기 위해 치료전(T0)과 치료 종료 및 유지 후(T1)에 촬영한 CBCT를 사용하였다. 상악 확장 결과 두 군 모두에서 치아치조성, 골격성 측정 값 및 상기도 부피의 유의한 증가가 관찰되었다. 또한 모든 측정 값에서 저속 상악 확장과 급속 상악 확장 간의 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 이 연구는 혼합치열기 어린이에서 저속 상악 확장의 효과에 대해 확인하였다. 저속 상악 확장은 치아치조성, 골격성 측정 값 뿐만 아니라 기도 부피, 상악동 기체 부피에서도 유의한 효과를 보였다. 또한, 급속 상악 확장의 효과와 비교하였을 때 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 따라서 소아치과의사는 성장기 어린이의 치주 조직의 생리적 측면, 불편감에 따른 협조도 등을 고려하여 급속 상악 확장과 저속 상악 확장 중 적절한 방법을 선택할 수 있을 것이다.
