Recently, Korean software industry has enjoyed fast growth, thus phenomenon drew attention to the need for more precise and standardized cost estimation system for software development. However, many obstacles exist in achieving a more precise and universally applicable cost measurement. These obstacles include : (1) the intangible nature of intellectual efforts, (2) lack of cost standards, (3) lack of quantitative yardstick to determine the potential complication, (4) lack of both cost monitoring during development and coordinating between acquisition process and cost estimation. The purpose of this study is to facilitate software development cost estimation considering acquisition process that will meet korean user's needs, and to create better models that will be cost for software development particularly for Korean environment.

The main objectives of this paper are as follows: 1) identifying th procedural characteristics of application software package acquisition and, 2) analyzing the relationship between those characteristics and MIS performance. Three stages and thirty core tasks of the application software package acquisition process were identified after reviewing relevant literature. The model specifying the relationship between procedural characteristics of application software package acquisition and MIS performance was established and 12 hypotheses were derived. Data were collected form 41 Korean companies and hypotheses were tested empirically.

국가 방위를 위한 무기체계의 획득은 다른 분야와 비교할 때 상대적으로 비용이 과다히 소모되고, 획득자원의 시험과정 등이 매우 위험하며 획득결과의 품질이 매우 중요하다. 이러한 무기체계 획득의 특성으로 인해서 모의실험이 필수적으로 이루어지고 있으며, 이를 시뮬레이션 기반 획득(SBA, Simulation Based Acquisition) 이라고 한다. 그런데, 모의실험을 위한 모델개발 및 이의 실행분석이 갖는 비용이 무시할 수 없는 수준이기 때문에 모의실험이 갖는 효과도에 대한 분석에 대한 연구필요성이 제기되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 효과도 분석에 요구되는 4가지의 지표를 제시하고, 이 지표들이 기존 연구에 어떻게 적용될 수 있는지에 대한 사례분석을 수행하였다. 비록 기존 연구들이 이러한 지표를 고려하지 않았지만, 본 논문에서 명시하고 있는 효과도에 대한 고찰을 통해 모의실험의 국방 획득 과정에서의 필요성을 확인 할 수 있다.

Software-based GNSS receivers have the great advantage in flexibility compared with conventional receivers. But it has some problems to processing IF level Signal RAW data, need long time to process long term data and TTFF is long because the process is too slow. So this time, we concentrated on the signal acquisition, and examined the speedup technique. Using this technique, the acquisition was speedup dramatically, and signal-to-noise ratio was improved.

Evolutionary acquisition is an alternative to the grand design acquisition approaches. It has activities to make it possible to develop quickly and respond flexibly to changing customer needs and technological opportunities. The Ministry of Defense adopted an evolutionary strategy to acquire defense information systems. but it does not work well always. We look at problems from aspects of acquisition system and project management. We benchmark successful cases for evolutionary acquisition strategy in the DoD, the pubic and the private sector. We suggest an evolutionary strategy for defense information systems. The evolutionary strategy in this study includes an evolutionary acquisition framework, an evolutionary acquisition process, and an evolutionary acquisition guideline for defense information systems. The evolutionary strategy can help to implement evolutionary acquisition process for defense information system, and the process can increase the success rate of projects.

The Ministry of Information and Communication announced "The Guideline for Management of Software Project" in October 2006. The public employees(acquirer) have to manage software projects with this guideline. The guideline was based on the International standard(ISO/IEC 12207) and IEEE standard(IEEE/EIA 12207), and was developed by considering the domestic software industry environment. The guideline can help to establish a software acquisition process for appropriate management of software projects, and the process can increase the management productivity of software projects. This study provides the explanation about the guideline with terms of 5W1H(who(user), what(summary), when(time to apply), where(domain of application), why(objective), how(method of use)) for understanding of the guideline.

Software reliability prediction is a statistical method to put in place a timely software development practice useful for objective assessment of bidders. The current study suggests one research method that enables reliability assessment of such previous projects by studying user satisfaction and project management history. If incorporated into the existing acquisition process, the reliability assessment method will further enhance objectivity and accuracy in bidder selection process. The GQM(Goal Question Metric) paradigm was used to identify assessment metrics for bidder evaluation and questionnaires were collected from users to create user satisfaction indexes. In addition, 'weight of evidence', the most appropriate categorical method, was used to isolate attributes of each variable that may contribute to reliability assessment.

This study has experimented and materialized a computational lexical processing model which hybridizes full model and decomposition model as applying lexical acquisition, one of early stages of human lexical processes, to Korean. As the result of the study, we could simulate the lexical acquisition process of linguistic input through experiments and studying, and suggest a theoretical foundation for the order of acquitting certain grammatical categories. Also, the model of this study has shown proofs with which we can infer the type of the mental lexicon of the human cerebrum through fu1l-list dictionary and decomposition dictionary which were automatically produced in the study.

Defense analysis & evaluation includes menace analysis, validation analysis, problem analysis, scientific technical analysis, technical trade-off analysis, alternative analysis, cost analysis, etc. Reliable related data is required to perform these analysis activities efficiently. but in case of these defense analysis & evaluation data acquisition system, the data is insufficient and scattered about each organization. The data of database system is also not utilized sufficiently. Abroad technical data is also low level data such as catalog or military officer's collection. Therefore, this paper propose defense analysis & evaluation data acquisition system by systems engineering process. we also propose construction method of data acquisition system.

Nowadays, Internet is so popular that we can easily access the remote site to search information and to communicate remote site and users. People who want to make a collaborate working environment can use JAVA, CORBA, and other internet programming tools like a Perl/XML. The mechanist are try to make the environment fur collaboration within design/manufacturing, simulation, remote sensing through TCP/IP And many industries and research institutions are working towards the agile manufacturing. This paper describes an internet-based real-Time remote monitoring system. The system consists of a hardware setup and a software interface. The hardware setup consists of a machine and its data acquisition hardware, while the software interface incorporates the data acquisition software, the server program, and the client program. The server program acts as the main interface between the data acquisition system and the internet technology. The client program is to be distributed to the remote users who want to monitor the machining status. The system has been demonstrated and verified for an industrial High-Speed Machine (HSM) especially measuring cutting force and acoustic emission. To share the signal, we make the WWW server and display its value. The system has been found to be highly efficient, reliable and accurate.
