This survey is the first part of the history of science of Song and Yuan dynasties and covers the period starting from Song to Jin. The major science in the Song period consists of calendrical astronomy, mathematics and medicine, and mathematics is also related to water supply technology. In this survey we follow Yabuuchi's work on the history of science of Song and Yuan period and Du Shiran's work on the history of science of China. We will try first to see how academic science flourished in the Northern Song, what caused the public science to prevail in the Southern Song, and then how the academic trend continued in Jin. We will continue to cover the Jin-Yuan period in the ensuing survey.

As needs for knowledge on Korean history and the attention of the people are rapidly increasing, various smartphone applications for learning the history have appeared during recent years. These applications provide multiple choice questions to users through their own problem banks. But, since these questions are selected from the fixed set of problems that are stored previously, the learning efficiency of users is inevitably decreased when they use the applications repeatedly. In this paper, we present a question generation system named K-History which generates multiple choice questions in an automatic way using the database on the history of Korea. In addition, we also describe the development of the application Korean History Infinite Challenge as a learning application for Korean history. To develop K-History, we classify typical types of learning problems through various problems based on Korean history learning materials, proposing algorithms to generate problems according to the types found. Through the developed techniques, various learning systems can reduce the cost for creating questions, while increasing the learning efficiency of users.

기존의 관계형 데이터베이스 시스템은 기본적으로 count, max, min, sum, avg의 집계 함수(aggregate functions)를 제공하며, UBMS에 따라 다양한 집계 연산자를 추가로 지원한다. 시공간 데이터베이스는 기본적인 공간 정보뿐만 아니라 시간 흐름에 따른 이력 정보를 취급하므로 데이터베이스로부터 자유로운 이력(history) 정보의 검색 기능이 요구되고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 시공간 데이터베이스로부터 이력을 자동으로 검색할 수 있는 새로운 집계 연산자, ‘history’를 제안하고, 그 처리 알고리즘과 SQL3에서 탐색 질의 표현법을 제안한다. 결과적으로, 제안된 이력 집계 연산자는 향후 SQL3리 질의 표현 능력의 제고에 기여할 것이다.

Though conventional calorimetry methods such as differential scanning calorimetry and differential thermal analysis are used generally in measuring heat of fusion, T-history method has advantages of a simple experimental apparatus and no requirements of sampling process, which is particularly useful for measuring thermophyical properties of in-homogeneous phase change materials in sealed tubes. However, the degree of supercooling used in selecting a range of latent heat release and neglecting sensible heat during the phase change process can cause significant errors in determining the heat of fusion. In the present study, it was shown that a 40% discrepancy exists between the original T-history and the present methods when analyzing the same experimental data. As a result, a reasonable modification to the original T-history method is proposed.

Nonetheless, his private internal view or attitude to natural philosophy is not so much known. In this paper we will approach him via his famous book Principia an physics and mathematics, considering the influences acted on him by mathematicians in the history of mathematics.

"DongYangEuiYak" is a magazine that was published three times to reconstruct Korean medicine. Publishing the magazine was leaded by excutives of the East and West Medicine Research Society, especially Kim younghun and Cho hunyoung. The magazine contains reconstruction of Korean medicine, medical history, pulse, herb, Sasang medicine and etc, in depth. Editorial department of "DongYangEuiYak" tried to boom Korean medicine and reeducate the people working in Korean medicine field by answering reader's questions and medical counselling articles and articles in correspondence course form. Studing courses and founding herb town after the publishment of "DongYangEuiYak", reflects well the culminated atmosphere of Korean medicine.
