Recently, there has been an increase in wellbeing marketing, which focuses on increasing consumer life satisfaction or consumers' sense of subjective wellbeing. Numerous studies have been conducted to identify which aspects contribute to consumer life satisfaction. In order to provide additional insights into consumer life satisfaction, this study aimed to identify the relationships among social psychological variables (consciousness of social face, social interaction anxiety, and career anxiety), shopping confidence, and life satisfaction. Shopping confidence in this study relates to confidence for clothing/accessories. It was hypothesized that social psychological variables influence life satisfaction not only directly but also indirectly through shopping confidence. Data were gathered by surveying university students in Seoul, using convenience sampling. Two hundred eighty six questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. Factor analysis of consciousness of social face revealed two factors, 'desire to gain face' and 'fear of losing face'. Factor analysis of social interaction anxiety, shopping confidence, and life satisfaction revealed that these variables were uni-dimensional. Test of the hypothesized path showed that all social psychological variables influenced life satisfaction indirectly through shopping confidence, whereas 'fear of losing face' of consciousness of social face and career anxiety influenced life satisfaction directly. The results give marketers some understanding of their consumers' life satisfaction in relation to consciousness of social face, social interaction anxiety, career anxiety, and shopping confidence.
Purpose: The study was undertaken from June 1 to July 15, 2008 to assess the effect of social support on self-esteem and life satisfaction in elderly volunteers. Methods: Social support, self-esteem, and life satisfaction were determined using previously established and accepted methods. Data analyses included frequency, ANOVA, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and simple regression. Results: Subjects' social support, self-esteem, and life satisfaction were closely related. The relationships of social support/self-esteem, social support/life satisfaction, and self-esteem/life satisfaction were significant. Social support accounted for 15% of self-esteem and 12% of life satisfaction. Conclusions: Social support is a very important factor influencing self-esteem and life satisfaction of the elderly. Social support, which sustains the mental health of the elderly, represents one of the best strategic nursing interventions.
Social commerce is regarded as a kind of e-commerce that utilizes social media. Considering increasing complaints around social commerce market, it is important to see customers' satisfaction level and intentions to repurchase. In this study, we examine antecedents that affect customers' satisfaction and relationship between satisfaction and intention to repurchase in social commerce market. We also use social media characteristics as moderators between antecedents and customers' satisfaction. The main results are as follows. First, except site design, most of the intrinsic factors of service quality, such as information, transaction, communication and perceived security had positive effects on customers' satisfaction. Second, all the extrinsic factors of service quality, such as discount rate, constraints, and discrimination had significant impacts on customers' satisfaction. Third, the social media characteristics could not moderate the relationship between service qualities and customers' satisfaction. Fourth, customers' satisfaction had positive effect on the intention to spread through social media. Fifth, customers' satisfaction had positive effect on the intention to repurchase. Social commerce companies need to set up strategies considering the antecedents of customers' satisfaction using these research results. They also need to secure customers that have sustainable purchasing intentions.
This study aims to investigate what communication phenomenon social viewing is associated with, and how satisfaction with using live commerce affects, taking into account that live commerce is a form of content consumption based on social viewing. In particular, social viewing is classified in this study as message production and sharing activities that influence users' satisfaction with live commerce viewing, as well as how two-dimensional social viewing behaviors are associated with users' perception of social presence. Then, the impact of these factors on improving viewing satisfaction is determined. It is also designed to investigate the moderating effect of social presence and viewing satisfaction as a function of the size of users' social networks by taking into account how social viewing affects the degree of social exchange among users. The findings of the analysis are as follows. First, social viewing behaviors. i.e., sharing and production behavior were identified as strong factors that have a direct impact on social presence and viewing satisfaction. Second, social presence plays a moderating role in the relationship between social viewing behavior and viewing satisfaction. Third, the impact of sharing behavior on social presence and viewing satisfaction was greater than the that of production behavior. Fourth, network size (number of followers and followings) had no direct effect on social reality or viewing satisfaction, but it had a moderating effect on the relationship between production behavior and social presence. Based on the findings, the implications and recommendations were discussed.

Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the related factors of clinical practice satisfaction and social support in dental hygiene students. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 420 dental hygiene students in Gwangju and Jeonnam from March 8 to April 8, 2014. Except 26 incomplete answers, 394 data were analyzed. The instrument consisted of general characteristics of the subjects(7 questions), social support(7 questions), and satisfaction level with clinical practice(22 questions). The instrument for satisfaction level with clinical practice included self-esteem(1 question), interest and usefulness(2 questions), knowledge application(1 question), place of clinical practice(1 question), and influence by practice leader(1 question). Cronbach alpha was 0.773 in the study. The instrument of social support was adapted from Park and reconstructed. Social support included emotional support(11 questions), self-esteem support(7 questions), and informative support(4 questions). Social support was score by Likert 5 scale and higher score showed the higher social support. Results: The dental hygiene students got a mean of $3.11{\pm}0.55$ in clinical practice satisfaction. They got 3.35 points in satisfaction with major and 3.32 in satisfaction with curricula(p<0.001). They got a mean of $3.68{\pm}0.55$ in social support. They got $3.69{\pm}0.57$ in emotional support; $3.81{\pm}0.59$ in self-esteem support; and $3.53{\pm}0.66$ in informative support. The influencing variables on satisfaction with clinical practice were self-esteem support(B=0.202), satisfaction with major(B=0.234), and satisfaction with curricula (B=0.128). The study aims to explore the empirical effect of social intelligence, integrity, self-efficacy, and affective commitment on job satisfaction, and also to prove the theoretical model regarding affective commitment as a mediator between social intelligence, integrity, self-efficacy, and job satisfaction. This research uses a quantitative approach to the survey method through a Likert scale model questionnaire. The questionnaire for all research variables is reliable with an alpha coefficient > 0.7. The research participants are comprised of 386 teachers in Indonesia selected by accidental sampling. Data analysis uses path analysis supported by descriptive statistics and correlational matrices. The research results indicate that social intelligence, integrity, self-efficacy, and affective commitment have a significant effect on job satisfaction. Besides, affective commitment also indirectly mediates the effect of social intelligence, integrity, and self-efficacy on job satisfaction. Thus, a new model regarding the effect of social intelligence, integrity, and self-efficacy on job satisfaction mediating by affective commitment was confirmed. The research suggested that the teachers' job satisfaction can improve through social intelligence, integrity, self-efficacy, and affective commitment. Therefore, researchers and practitioners can adopt a new empirical model to enhance job satisfaction through social intelligence, integrity, self-efficacy, and affective commitment in the future.
The main purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between social support, life satisfaction, and school-related adjustments of adolescents. The participants were 260 junior high school students (140 male and 120 female students) from the Seoul area. They completed questionnaires on social support, life satisfaction, and school-related adjustments. The collected data were analyzed using basic descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and a multiple regression analysis. Baron and Kenny's method was used and examined, and the Sobel test was performed to determine the mediating model's significance. It was adapted to SPSS ver. 19.0 for Windows. The major findings were as follows: first, social support (parents/teacher/friend) was positively correlated with the adolescents' school-related adjustment. Second, the adolescents' life satisfaction was also positively correlated with the adolescents' school-related adjustments. In addition, social support was positively correlated with life satisfaction. It was further found that the adolescents' life satisfaction tended to play a perfectly/partially mediating role between social support and school-related adjustment; that is, social support (parents/teacher/friend) was shown to have not only a direct effect, but also an indirect effect through the adolescents' life satisfaction, on the school-related adjustments. These results clearly indicated that adolescents' life satisfaction plays a crucial role in the relationship between social support and the adolescents' school-related adjustments.
The present study investigated the effect of area-specific social networks on urban workers life satisfaction. For this, 356 adults over age 20 were interviewed from June 17th 2013 to June 29th 2013. The findings are as follows: First, the closeness of family network index demonstrates that participants with higher affective support have higher life satisfaction. In addition, stronger extended family network brings more life satisfaction and so does a bigger friendship network. Secondly, the extended family network explains 17.6% of the variance in social networks follows by family network, other network, and friendship network, respectively. The closeness variable of social networks yields statistical significance on all categories of networks. The affective support level in the closeness variable of social networks shows differences as well; family network positively associates with life satisfaction. The purposes of this research are to investigate the actual conditions of urban workers' life satisfaction and the influence of family, extended family, friendship, and other variables on life satisfaction. If social networks have an influence on life satisfaction, to find the domain of social networks that holds the most influences on life satisfaction is an important ground in the process of implementing regional welfare.
