Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between social support (family, healthcare provider, friends/peer), treatment belief, hope, and health status in patients on hemodialysis, and to identify direct and indirect effects of the variables on patients' health status. Methods: The self-regulation model was used to establish a path model. Data were collected from 240 patients. Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support, Revised Illness Perception Questionnaire, Herth Hope Index, and Medical Outcomes Study Short Form-12 were used. Data were analyzed using the SPSS and AMOS programs. Results: The model was supported by fit statistics ($x^2=3.33$, p=.343, GFI .995, RMSEA .021, AGFI .968, NFI .986, CFI .999, TLI .993). Family and friends/peer support showed a significant direct influence on hope, while healthcare provider support directly influenced treatment belief. Social support, treatment belief, and hope directly and indirectly influenced health status, explaining 28.7% of the variance. Conclusion: These results show mechanisms underlying connections between social support and health status by demonstrating impact of social support and showing treatment belief and hope as mediators between social context and outcomes. To promote health of patients on hemodialysis, it is necessary for patient, family, healthcare professional, and friends to collaborate.

On January 1, 2020, the liquor tax for beer and takju was reorganized from the ad valorem tax to the specific tax. The purpose of the reorganization of the liquor tax announced by the National Tax Service is to improve the quality of the liquor and to resolve unreasonable discrimination between domestic and imported liquor. However, it is necessary to determine whether the National Tax Service's standard for levying the liquor tax is appropriate for the purpose. In this study, the change in the liquor industry is estimated due to the reorganization of the liquor tax using Hicks net price elasticity. In addition, the specific tax for each of the liquors and the alcohol content derived from the social cost minimization model is compared. The main findings are as follows. First, when the liquor tax of beer and takju is converted to the specific tax, social costs increase, and social welfare decrease. Second, if all the liquors are converted to the specific tax, social costs decrease. Third, when comparing specific tax by each of the liquors and the alcohol content according to the social cost minimization model, The specific tax by alcohol content can be considered more appropriate in terms of social cost and the stakeholders in the liquor industry.
The purpose of this study was to introduce major contents and examine the feminist social work practice. Feminist social work practice has never been introduced and applied to social work fields in Korea. By contrast, it has been developed and expanded in advanced Western countries. Feminist social work was emerged under the influence of worldwide Women's Movement on the end of 1960's. After the time, there were critics of existing social work practice by feminist, increase in interest of women's issues, development of principles and methods in feminist social work practice. Feminist social work practice brought, transformative change, application of gender perspectives to social work practice. Also, it offered the visions for 'integrative practice', accepted the alternative principles and methods, and enriched 'theory-practice'. As the result, feminist social work practice contributed to solving or alleviating the problems of many clients, especially women clients. These evidences suggest that feminist social work practice has the possibility of holding an position as a new alternative social work practice.
