This study aimed to examine the relationship between students' power types and the roles taken by students in school bullying situation. Four types of power relationship were identified by crossing two dimensions of power relationships among students, which are 'possibility of power acquisition,' and 'need for power acquision.' Salmivalli et al.'s(1996) six particpatants' roles taken by individual student were employed as possible roles for students in school bullying situations. Samples of 1822 cases were analyzed to test the relationships. Results showed that control type youth tend to be bullies, assistants of the bullies, or reinforcers of the bullies; both the followers of bullies and the recluse type youth tend to be victims. Surprisingly influential youth did not take any vivid roles in school bullying situations. Implications as well as suggestions were presented.

This study is a policy research conducted for the purpose of finding new roles for adoption agencies and suggesting future tasks for effective adoption practice in Korea. To achieve this goal, this study analyzed the characteristics of adoption practices and the roles of adoption agencies in four countries (U.K., Sweden, U.S.A. and Hong Kong) and conducted a survey of the staff members of adoption agencies in Korea. The survey questions included: (1) the real changes and problems they feel in the adoption field after the amendment to the 'Act on special cases concerning adoption' in 2012; (2) the prospects for change in the future; and (3) the new roles they expect in the changing context. Based on the review of foreign cases and the results of the survey, the future direction of adoption practice in Korea and the new roles and tasks of adoption agencies were suggested.

Purpose: The main purpose of this study was to explore the adaptation experience of adolescent cancer survivors during and after cancer treatment, and their perceived social support networks. Methods: This study was a qualitative descriptive study using the in-depth interview. Eight adolescent cancer survivors who were diagnosed with cancer between 11 to 18 years old participated in the study. Results: The adaptation experiences of adolescent cancer survivors over time were identified within five categories for during their treatment such as "being catapulted from one's life," "standing at the center of discomfort," "falling behind the line," "accepting the change," "being developed", and another five categories for after the treatment including "being shackled," "encountering the forgotten reality," "overcoming and emerging from the reality," "growing into adulthood," "entering into a new orbit." Participants reported the various members of their social support network and their roles during and after the treatment as well. Conclusion: While adolescent cancer survivors adjusted to their changing situations after the cancer diagnosis, their internalized adaptation, as well as perceived social support from their diverse surrounding network, played significant roles. These findings will become a valuable asset for developing age-appropriate nursing interventions to promote psychosocial adjustment of adolescents with cancer.

This study aimed to explore the effect of the intimacy with social workers on the use of social welfare services of marriage-based female immigrants. Also, this study verified the effect of the quantity of the welfare service-related information as a mediated variable on the use of social welfare services. For this purpose, this study collected data from a total of 304 immigrant women married to Korean men living in City of Busan, City of Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang Province, and the data was analysed by SPSS 21. As the result of study, the intimacy with social workers had significant influences on the use of social welfare services of the married immigrant women. The results also showed that the intimacy with social workers contributed to the quantity of the welfare service-related information. Based on these results, implications of the important roles of social workers and the directions of their effective roles for the marriage based female immigrants to use the social welfare services were suggested.

This study was conducted to contribute to the expansion of activity areas of nurses in the fiel of health promotion services whose importance are increasing day by day. To achieve such goals the writer analized the social values of health promotion services through the method of literature reveiw and held workshops five times with the research team to develop a new program model applicable in health centers and industry. As a conclusion, we recommended the following roles of nurses to be reevaluted an reinforced: 1. Roles as advertizers of the importance of keeping positive health, its social diffussion, an making social environments supporting it. 2. Roles of intervention to change life-styles into positive, active, and client-centered ones 3. Roles of communicators, planners, and managers for the contribution to the maximization of team efficiency with a view to reducing health risk and preventing health threat.

This study aimed to investigate the perception on dental hygienists and convergence factors to affect social requirements on their roles so as to utilize them as the fundamental data to assist the common people to understand the occupation and roles of dental hygienists and expand their positive perception further. Upon the multiple regression analysis from 235 final analysis subjects who underwent survey from August 1st to 25th 2017 among 270 adults in Busan and Gyeongnam areas, the awareness level on the dental hygienists was higher as the education level was lower and quality of life was more positive. Requirements were increased more as the education level was lower, quality of life related to oral health was more positive, quality of life was more positive, and awareness level on the roles and knowledge of dental hygienists was increased more. Further programs and promotional plans should be continuously activated to establish the career roles and expand the awareness in every field including dental clinic practices, dental hygiene training, related groups, and so on.

The aim of this study is to identify economic geographical determinants that affect the sustainability of the social economy. The sustainability of the social economy means the sustainability of the pursuit of social value as well as the sustainability of business operation. This study is aiming to economic geographical determinants as factors affecting sustainability of the social economy and extracted measurement index through examination on the theory and case study. As a result, 10 items in two areas(the sustainability of the pursuit of social value, the sustainability of business operation) had been deducted as the measurement index of which sustainability of the social economy. In addition, 20 items in four areas(local networks, intermediary organizations, local community culture and public roles) had been deducted as economic geographical determinants. Multiple regression analysis through 193 firm surveys suggests that 'local networks', 'intermediary organizations', and 'public roles' have an positive impact on sustainability. This result implies a need for policies to create an economic geography ecosystem of social economy.

The purpose of this research is to empirically analyze the effect of public library use on the construction of social and cultural capital and the close of social classes reproduction through the survey targeting public library users. As a result, the use of public libraries positively affects the construction of both social and cultural capital. In contrast, it partially addresses the problems in social classes reproduction because the social classes with higher levels of education and income tend to use public libraries more often. In order to take a role of and contribute to equal construction of social and cultural capital, public libraries need to be public places for open and social interaction. In addition, it is necessary for public libraries to improve their roles to allow community members to access and utilize various cultural resources.
