A Study on the Solutions of the Elderly Problems in Terms of Social Issuest (사회문제 측면에서 본 노인문제의 해결방안에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzed how the situation of the elderly problems around the issue appeared on theory and field. First was to identify elderly issues with a theoretical argument about the elderly problem, from the perspective of structural functionalism, conflict theory, symbolic interaction theory. The issues of older issues was selected to increase, divorce increases and remarried decline in the elderly, exclusion from the labor market, and dilemmas, such as political participation and volunteering in the elderly households study the current situation and their problems for them. the results in terms of social issues the first solution to the problem, the elderly, it is necessary to switch recognition for the elderly. Second, we need to remove negative perceptions about older people. Third, we must establish a complementary relationship between the state and the private sector.In conclusion, it should be full in order to solve the elderly problem in terms of social issues, not limited to the elderly problem in the elderly subject matter of an individual or family corresponds to publicize it as a social problem social preemptively.

Protective Factors of School-Aged Children's Adjustment to Parental Divorce from Low Income Families (저소득층 이혼 가족 아동의 적응에 있어 보호요인 탐색 : 아동의 대처 전략, 부모 양육 유형, 부모의 스트레스, 사회적 지지)

  • This study explored adjustment of school-aged children from low-income divorced families. Specifically, protective factors for children's self-perceived competence and behavior problems were investigated with children's coping strategies, perceived social support, parents' childrearing style, and parental stress. Subjects of this study were 126 children of 4 to 6 grade and their custodial parents(38 fathers, 88 mothers) from divorced families. Children's self-perceived competence and behavior problems were not different neither by children's sex nor custodial parent's sex. When children used more positive and less negative coping strategies, and when parents experienced less childrearing stress, children perceived themselves to be more competent. Similarly, when children used more positive and less negative coping strategies, received more social support, they perceived themselves to be more adequate. Children whose parents had high levels of childrearing stress showed more internalized and externalized behavior problems. Furthermore, children who perceived less supports from peers showed more behavior problems.

A Study on the Internalizing·Externalizing Problems of Multicultural Children (다문화가정 아동의 내재화·외현화 문제에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conducted in order to investigate the variables that relate and affect the internalizing and externalizing problems of multicultural children. 159 multicultural children in the $3^{rd}{\sim}6^{th}$grade were selected from elementary schools in Gwangju and the Jeollanamdo area. The data was analyzed by using the frequency, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and hierarchical regression by SPSS 12.0 program. The results were as follows: first, the internalizing problems were different according to the socio-demographic variable: (gender, subjective economic level), multicultural characteristic variable: (mother's communication ability, likability of mother's nationality, etc.), parent-child relationship variable: (relationship with mother, relationship with father) and social support variable: (peer support, teacher support). Further, the externalizing problems were different according to the socio-demographic variable: (gender), multicultural characteristic variable: (mother's nationality, mother's communication ability, etc.), parent-child relationship variable: (relationship with mother, relationship with father) and social support variable: (peer support, teacher support). Second, the influential variables regarding the internalizing problems were children's stress from cultural adaptability and the likability of the mother's nationality of the multicultural characteristic variable group, peer support of the social support variable group and the subjective economic-level of the socio-demographic variable group. Moreover, the influential variable on the externalizing problems was children's stress from the cultural adaptability of the multicultural characteristic variable group. The most influential variable of such variables was children's stress from cultural adaptability of the multicultural characteristic variable group. The results of this study will provide information for the development of educational and therapeutic intervention program for multicultural children.

A Performance Indicators of Living Lab Project in the Digital Social Innovation (디지털 사회 혁신에서 리빙랩 프로젝트의 성과지표에 대한 연구)

  • In recent years, Digital Social Innovation has been emerging at home and abroad and new solutions are being proposed by the perspective of User using digital technology in order to solve social and economic problems of the city. In addition, Living Labs which is an innovative tools and space enable to solve problems doing activities with various participants led by users. Therefore, this study aims to systematically manage the activities of Living Lab in Digital Social Innovation and improves the Living Lab sustainability using the performance indicators which are going to be developed. Furthermore, construct the appropriate indicator of each project process and take test at real Living Labs. As a result, performance indicator was derived from each procedure in the Living Lab project, and proved validity and reliability of the indicators through qualitative and quantitative methods by interviews and the questionnaire from the participants of Living Labs.

Adolescent Children's Domestic Violence Exposure & Psycho-social Maladjustment - Focusing on Middle School Student Children's Wife Abuse Witnessing and Child Abuse Victim - (청소년기 자녀의 가정폭력 노출과 심리사회적 부적응 -중학생 자녀의 아내학대 목격과 자녀학대 피해를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how adolescent children's exposure experience of domestic violence influences their psycho-social maladjustment. The SPSS 10.0 for Windows was used to analyze data obtained through 589 adolescents who attend middle school in Gwangju area. Major findings are as follows: 1. Domestic violence exposure in adolescent children was considerably serious; 84.4% child abuse by parents, 66.0% witness of father-to-mother abuse. 2. Child abuse and wife abuse had close relation in occurrence and severity. 3. Internalizing problems, externalizing problems, and social competence of adolescents were different by the victim of child abuse, the witness of wife abuse, and the style of domestic violence exposure. 4. Domestic violence exposure had a positive impact on the adolescent children's psycho-social maladjustment.

Analysis of the Problems of Children Exposed to Family Violence and Clinical Intervention Program for the Children (가정폭력에 노출된 아동의 문제와 개입프로그램에 관한 연구)

  • This study examines the problems of children exposed to family violence. As a result, the children exposed to family violence exhibit various emotional, behavioral and social problems and distorted perceptions and inappropriate reactions toward family violence. Based on these results and existing programs for children exposed family violence, an integrative group program has been devised. The program was applied to two groups of the children and an experimental study was conducted to examine its effectiveness on emotional problems, aggressiveness, social skills and perceptions/reactions toward family violence. As a result, the experimental groups have shown an overall significant improvement in scores on emotional problems, aggressiveness, social skills and perceptions/reactions toward family violence. The study offers the following recommendations for clinical social work practice. First, great efforts to alleviating the problems of children exposed to family violence should be made continually. Second, special attention should be paid to reflect the characteristics of our own culture in clinical social work intervention and to do so, various practical intervention skills suitable to our culture should be developed. Finally, many different intervention models for children exposed family violence should be developed and researches comparing those models should be carried out.
