As Korea experienced a Asian foreign exchange crisis in 1997 and a world financial crisis in 2008, the social structure of Korea has undergone many changes. The problem of polarization has become more serious, and the social class has become harder to move between strata. This problem has been accompanied by a growing sense of crisis that the power of social development can be lost along with the problem of population cliffs. Behind the crisis is a reflection of the fact that the growth-oriented economic policies and welfare policies implemented in various European countries can not solve the problem. As an alternative to this, the emergence of social enterprises is attracting attention. Social enterprises have the characteristic of seeking to generate economic profit in order to achieve the purpose of the public interest to provide jobs to the underprivileged. In recent years, the importance of social ventures to expand the scope of new social enterprises in innovative ways has increased. The social venture is a venture business in that it takes risks to develop new areas, not existing business areas, but it also has the character of a social enterprise to achieve the public interest. In other words, an innovative corporate model that provides a creative and challenging solution of social problems in the venture spirit. Although the interest and importance of social enterprises and social ventures are increasing, this academic research is still lacking. The purpose of this study is to introduce and analyze cases of successful social enterprises and social ventures in order to reflect these social interests and their importance and to fill the gap of previous studies. In addition, I hope that this study will stimulate interest and research on the start - up of social venture.

The purpose of this study was validate the Preschool and Kindergarten Behavior Scale-2(PKBS-2) and develop the Korean version PKBS-2(K-PKBS-2) through the phases of concept and statistical review. For this purpose, this study conducted PKBS-2 for teachers with 1,119 young children in Jeonbuk province. During the factor structure review, according to the results of exploratory factor analysis, 30 items and 4 factors(social interaction, social cooperation, social compliance, and social independence) in social skills scale and 40 items and 4 sub-factors of 3 factors(internalizing behavior, externalizing behavior, and interpersonal emotional behavior) in problem behavior scale were extracted. In addition, confirmatory factor analysis, the model fits of social skills and problem behavior scales were higher than the original test and very high reliability and internal consistency were produced. During external factor review, convergent validity and discriminant validity were verified. After cultural specificity and cultural universality between PKBS-2 and K-PKBS-2 were discussed, K-PKBS-2 was presented as e scale which is very useful for the screening, prevention, and intervention program plan of challenging behavior behaviors in young children in Korea.
The purpose of this study was to investigate relationships between the family strengths, mothers' self-efficacy, and their young children's teaming-related social skills and behavior problems. The subjects were the 217 children aged 4 to 6 years and their mothers at private child care centers in Seoul. The Family Strengths Scale and the Mothers' Self-Efficacy questionnaire were administered to the mothers. The teachers rated the learning-related social skills and problem behaviors of each child whose mother returned a set of Questionnaires. Analysis of variance revealed statistically significant differences in the family strengths according to the education level of the mothers. The mean the family strength score was higher for working mothers than for non-working mothers. The results of the test were statistically significant differences in the scores on the learning-related social skills and problem behaviors between boys and girls. The family strengths were positively correlated with the mothers' self-efficacy, and the learning-related social skills of the young children, while they were negatively correlated with problem behaviors.
This study examined the mediation effect of the family resilience between the family stress and social problem solving ability of the women social worker and welfare specialist, considering that women's middle age needs the resilience including the adaptation, reestablishment in the family life cycle. The sampling target was the 328 women social workers in the middle age, and it performed the Sobel Test for the mediation effect verification after enforcing the multiple regression analysis, next, it is same. Firstly, the economic problem was most highly severe among the family stress subfactor. Secondly, there was altogether the part mediation effect of the family resilience' subfactors, ie, communication processes, belief systems and organizational patterns between the family stress and social problem solving ability. In conclusion, if the family stress which the middle aged women social worker confronted was accurately analyzed and the family is intervened so that the family resilience functions properly, the social problem solving ability would be able to be improved.
In this research, we propose a dynamic decision making using social context based on ontology. Dynamic adaptation is adopted for the high qualified decision making, which is defined as creation of proper information using contexts depending on decision maker's state of affairs in ubiquitous computing environment. Thereby, the context for the dynamic adaptation is classified as a static, dynamic and social context. Static context contains personal explicit information like demographic data. Dynamic context like weather or traffic information is provided by external information service provider. Finally, social context implies much more implicit knowledge such as social relationship than the other two-type context, but it is not easy to extract any implied tacit knowledge as well as generalized rules from the information. So, it was not easy for the social context to apply into dynamic adaptation. In this light, we tried the social context into the dynamic adaptation to generate context-appropriate personalized information. It is necessary to build modeling methodology to adopt dynamic adaptation using the context. The proposed context modeling used ontology and cases which are best to represent tacit and unstructured knowledge such as social context. Case-based reasoning and constraint satisfaction problem is applied into the dynamic decision making system for the dynamic adaption. Case-based reasoning is used case to represent the context including social, dynamic and static and to extract personalized knowledge from the personalized case-base. Constraint satisfaction problem is used when the selected case through the case-based reasoning needs dynamic adaptation, since it is usual to adapt the selected case because context can be changed timely according to environment status. The case-base reasoning adopts problem context for effective representation of static, dynamic and social context, which use a case structure with index and solution and problem ontology of decision maker. The case is stored in case-base as a repository of a decision maker's personal experience and knowledge. The constraint satisfaction problem use solution ontology which is extracted from collective intelligence which is generalized from solutions of decision makers. The solution ontology is retrieved to find proper solution depending on the decision maker's context when it is necessary. At the same time, dynamic adaptation is applied to adapt the selected case using solution ontology. The decision making process is comprised of following steps. First, whenever the system aware new context, the system converses the context into problem context ontology with case structure. Any context is defined by a case with a formal knowledge representation structure. Thereby, social context as implicit knowledge is also represented a formal form like a case. In addition, for the context modeling, ontology is also adopted. Second, we select a proper case as a decision making solution from decision maker's personal case-base. We convince that the selected case should be the best case depending on context related to decision maker's current status as well as decision maker's requirements. However, it is possible to change the environment and context around the decision maker and it is necessary to adapt the selected case. Third, if the selected case is not available or the decision maker doesn't satisfy according to the newly arrived context, then constraint satisfaction problem and solution ontology is applied to derive new solution for the decision maker. The constraint satisfaction problem uses to the previously selected case to adopt and solution ontology. The verification of the proposed methodology is processed by searching a meeting place according to the decision maker's requirements and context, the extracted solution shows the satisfaction depending on meeting purpose.

This study analyzed the relationship between the achievement motivation and social intelligence in pre-service early childhood teachers and their achievement motivation and social intelligence. The achievement motivation Inventory for pre-service early childhood teachers (Song, 2004), the social intelligence questionnaire (Han, 2011) and the Children's social problem solving ability scale (Huh, 1999) were administered to 193 pre-service early childhood teachers. The data underwent Pearson correlation analysis using the SPSS 21.0 program. The results of this study were as follows. First, there were significant positive relationships among the achievement motivation, social intelligence, and social problem solving ability. Second, the achievement motivation and social intelligence was an important factor for predicting the social problem solving ability of pre-service early childhood teachers.
By analyzing a nationwide survey on Korean publics, this study examines the social determinants of public support for three types of scientific research-basic research aimed at pure knowledge, applied research toward industrial application, and research for social problem-solving which aims to enhance ordinary citizens' quality of life. The present study finds the differential effects of social- and political value orientations on the level of public support for respective types of research. As ones have more progressive in their subjective political orientations, they are more likely to support research for social problem-solving than other types of research, while conservatives tend to support basic research and those with neo-liberal ideology tend to support applied research. The Korean public also tends to perceive research for social problem-solving as a counter to basic research while it has been developed against the conventional emphasis on applied research in Korea. Also, the level of support for research for social problem-solving increases with the higher level of trust in scientific authority and expertise, while it has been developed against expertism and included public engagement in science as an important element. Finally, those who have lower income tend to support for research for social problem-solving than other types of research. The implications of these findings are discussed.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the simulation-based cooperation program on self-efficacy, social problem-solving ability and college life adjustment of health college students. Methods: A nonequivalent control group pre-posttest design was used. Sixty-eight students were in the experimental group receiving the simulation-based cooperation program, and 68 were in the control group with no treatment. Results: There were significant increases in self-efficacy(z=-4.70, p<.001) and college life adjustment(t=2.03, p<.05) in the experimental group compared to the control group. However, there was no difference in the social problem-solving ability (z=-1.87, p=.061) between the experimental and control groups. Conclusion: The findings indicate that the simulation-based cooperation program has a significant effect on improving self-efficacy and college life adjustment in health college students. Thus the simulation-based cooperation program to promote the social problem-solving ability needs to be more developed and research related with cooperation program is further needed.
This study analyzed how the situation of the elderly problems around the issue appeared on theory and field. First was to identify elderly issues with a theoretical argument about the elderly problem, from the perspective of structural functionalism, conflict theory, symbolic interaction theory. The issues of older issues was selected to increase, divorce increases and remarried decline in the elderly, exclusion from the labor market, and dilemmas, such as political participation and volunteering in the elderly households study the current situation and their problems for them. the results in terms of social issues the first solution to the problem, the elderly, it is necessary to switch recognition for the elderly. Second, we need to remove negative perceptions about older people. Third, we must establish a complementary relationship between the state and the private sector.In conclusion, it should be full in order to solve the elderly problem in terms of social issues, not limited to the elderly problem in the elderly subject matter of an individual or family corresponds to publicize it as a social problem social preemptively.
Since nursing is carried out in a relationship between nurses and nursing subjects in a social context, the social problem solving ability of nursing college students is very important. The purpose of this study was to identify impact of self-leadership, caring ability and self-efficacy on social problem solving ability in nursing student's. The subjects of this study were 203 nursing college students from a university. Data was analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression. The result of multiple regression indicate that caring ability(${\beta}=0.39$, p<.001) self-efficacy(${\beta}=0.28$, p<.001), self-leadership(${\beta}=0.23$, p<.001) were the most consistent predictors of social problem solving ability and explained 53.0%. It is suggested to establish an autonomy-based program and feedback system and to develop a convergence education program to balance cognitive and emotional aspects.
