  • Recent construction site large disaster occurs in, even normal disaster not be reduced, the efforts of pre-disaster prevention for this is also a need to study the evaluation index. By comprehensive examination zero reform the current lowest bid system has included the social responsibility index is scheduled, objective and quantitative evaluation indicators making construction safety areas that are included in the item of social responsibility is required ing. In this study, the construction, in order to prevent disasters, efforts pre disaster prevention be presented metrics in the construction safety in the field of comprehensive examination system and the evaluation index, it is intended to examine the evaluation items for the evaluation indices.

  • The article clarifies the definition and components of the ICT competence of future teachers, justifies the introduction of a motivational-value component. ICT competence of future teachers has a four-component structure: motivational-value, general-use, general pedagogical, subject-pedagogical components. The levels (reproductive, productive, creative), criteria and indicators of the formation of ICT-competence of students of a pedagogical college are determined, the content of these levels (reproductive, productive, creative) is disclosed, respectively.

  • The concept of inclusive development provides equal opportunities for all participants in access to the labor market and resource allocation. This concept emphasizes the equality of human capital, the ecological state of the environment, social protection and food security. This concept is fundamentally different from the standard perception of economic growth, because it has broader goals than simply increasing incomes and GDP. It rejects the position that positive results are an automatic consequence of growth; here the basic condition is human development and increase of its well-being, reduction of poverty. Therefore, it is not the result of distribution that becomes primary, but the involvement in the process of social reproduction. An alternative system of characterization of the country's position according to the resulting indicator of the Inclusive Development Index was presented at the World Economic Forum in Davos. In this research the methodical development of the system of estimation of the index of inclusive development for regions of the NUTS 4 level of the European classification is resulted.

  • The importance of ecosystem service such as green spaces has risen due to restrictions on outdoor activities amid the climate crisis and COVID-19. While gardens significantly impact economic development, quality of life, and social well-being, comprehensive studies on their multidimensional values are lacking. This research categorizes garden values into social, cultural, environmental, and health dimensions and proposes an integrated assessment framework that introduces detailed elements and evaluation methods. An empirical assessment of carbon storage index in two Korean gardens, Semiwon and Juknokwon, reveals Semiwon's higher carbon storage per unit area. The proposed framework, emphasizing a quantitative approach, enables cross-national and regional comparisons, contributing to a broader understanding and evaluation of garden values beyond specific facilities.

  • This study tried to derive the elements of the plan, recognizing the importance of taking into account the social weak when construct community facilities. For these, this study found planning indicator around literature review, then re-established indicators by Focus Group Interview. So it can draw following implication through result of analysis. First, planner considering the social weak should make fair space for harmonious communication between users. physical planning is important, but the building is to be vehicle for the social communication. So it needs to compose program without social elimination. Second, it is important to make participation base for the social weak in community facilities. Finally the reinforce of participation base can be indicator which encourage ownership and locality.

  • Objectives : This study aimed to examine the association between public social expenditure(PSE) and suicides in the 27 countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development(OECD) from 1980 to 2003. Methods : The age-standardized suicide rates and their annual change(%) were obtained from the OECD Health Data 2007. As a measure of social protection, the PSE(% GDP) was used. The covariates included the annual divorce rate(/100,000 population), fertility rate(number of children/woman aged 15 to 49 years), GDP per capita(US$ PPP), male unemployment rate(%), life expectancy(years) and alcohol consumption(liter/capita) for each country, which were all obtained from the OECD Health Data 2007 and the OECD Social Indicators 2006. Using hierarchical linear models that included these covariates, the effects of PSE on suicides(Model 1) and the annual percent change (Model 2) were examined(Model 3). Also, sub-sample analyses were done for six countries that experienced political/economic transition. Results : We could not find significant effects of PSE on suicides(Model 1), but we observed significantly negative effects on the annual percent change for men and women(Model 2). Such findings were replicated in the sub-sample analysis, and moreover, the effect size was much larger(Model 3). Conclusions : Our finding suggests that social welfare protection can be a pivotal factor for suicide epidemiology, and especially in countries experiencing a social crisis or transition.

  • Drought vulnerability index was developed by selecting drought-related indicators with trend test. Study areas were determined by considering the weir locations from the four major rivers restoration project in Nakdong and Geum river watersheds. Ten indicators were selected and they were categorized into three groups, water resources, precipitation pattern, and social aspects. Annual average surface water level, annual minimum surface water level, annual average groundwater level, and annual minimum groundwater level data sets were collected for water resources aspects. The number of non-rainy days, rainfall concentration ratio, and rainfall deviation were considered for precipitation pattern category. The amount of water available per capita, financial soundness for water resources, and water usage equity were related to social aspects. Mann-Kendall, Hotelling-Pabst, and Sen trend tests were performed for the ten indicator data sets and the results were scored for the drought vulnerability index. The results shows Gumi, Sangjoo, and Hapcheon weirs are relatively vulnerable to drought. The indices were relatively low for the regions in Geum river watershed compared to those in Nakdong river watershed.

  • We used a deep neural network model for the prediction of the stock prices of Kia Motors and Shinsegae as listed in the KOSPI 100. We used an emotional variable derived from online news in addition to the various technical indicators most often used. The emotional variable used as a predictor variable was generated from the average of the emotional scores for companies in the industrial group after building an emotional dictionary specific to each industrial group classified in a social network analysis. The study was conducted with various combinations of predictors and confirmed that good predictive and profitable power could be expected when jointly using technical indicators and an emotional variable based on online news by industrial groups.

  • In this study, on the basis of an analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method and through a questionnaire on subjective preference and importance, various power supply systems were comprehensively compared with multiple decision criteria such as environmental, social, healthy, and economic viewpoints and then overall priority was assessed. When a decision-making problem is modelled by a hierarchy structure, the AHP method is regarded as a useful tool for extracting subjective opinions via the aforementioned questionnaire. Here, the overall preferences were obtained by linearly aggregating weighting vector and preference matrix. The energy systems such as nuclear, coal, and LNG power plants were selected because they took share over 90% of domestic electricity supply in Korea. Furthermore, wind power and photovoltaic solar systems were included as representative renewable energy systems in Korea. According to the results of this demonstration study, the following comprehensive comparison indicators were yielded: 1) weighting factors for 4 types of main criteria as well as for 11 types of sub-criteria; 2) preference valuation for 7 types of energy systems under consideration; 3) overall score for each energy systems.

  • This paper develops the methodology for the indexation of Sustainable Development Indicators(SDIs) in 4 sectors(social, environmental, economic, and institutional sectors), and provides the empirical results of Sustainable Development Index(SDI) for Korea from 1990 to 2001. Given 1995 as the basic year, the trend of SDI for Korea displays a slowly curving U-shape. The down trend of SDI until mid-90's results from the decline of SDI in economic and environmental sectors, and the uptrend of SDI after mid-90's results from the sharp rising of SDI in social and institutional sectors. The implication of the results is that Korea generally shows a positive trend toward the sustainable development. However, there should be a careful consideration about partly downward trend in individual SDIs, because of the different trend of SDI in each sector.
