The purpose of this study is to explore the relative influences of juvenile delinquency using variables from Hirschi's social bonding theory, Agnew's general strain theory, Gottfredson and Hirschi's self-control theory, and Akers' social learning theory. The data derived from a sample of 2,018 high school students taken from National Youth Policy Institute in 2013. Multiple OLS regression analysis indicated that social learning theory has the greatest impact on dependent variables than other theories. The results of regression analyses also explore the notion that without the social bond, general strain, and self-control variables, there is very little loss of explained variance when these variables are removed from the full equation. However, when the social learning factors are eliminated from the full equation, the change in $R^2$ is dramatic. This result supported the idea that social learning variables had the strongest effect on the juvenile delinquency of Korean adolescents. The most important implication of this study is that it is the first study to test four major theoretical models for juvenile delinquency in Korea. It also makes a number of important contributions toward the further utilization of social learning in investigating juvenile delinquency for Korean high school students.
In the 16~17th centuries, the construction of T-shaped pavilion in Gyeongsangbuk-do was centered on the families of the Goseong-Lee clan and Andong-Kwon clan, who had a lot of exchanges with each other near Andong. It can be presumed that the complex structure of the T-shaped pavilion was intended to represent the technology, economic power, and social influence of the clan. After the 18th century, construction areas spread and construction subjects were diversified, but the number of new constructions decreased. It can be seen that T-shaped pavilion was erected and used for public purposes rather than personal reasons in terms of layout or flat scale. The roof of the T-shaped pavilion is very diverse depending on the wooden structure, the height of the roof and the configuration of the apex. The T-shaped pavilion, which combines two parts, has been developed in a way that strengthens not only the appearance but also the structural bonding force. The bonding strength is strengthened through the process of "roof aligning", "roof bonding", "structure connection", and "structure integration", which shows a similar tendency to the age of actual cases.
This paper examines the trends of recently developed human-care robots and social interaction technologies. As one of the solutions to the problems of an aging society, human-care robots have gained considerable attention from the public and the market. However, commercialized human-care robots do not meet user expectations for the role as companions. Current robot services based on short-term interaction and fragmentary pieces of intelligence have encountered difficulty in eliciting natural communication with humans. This results in the failure of human-robot social bonding. Social interaction is being actively investigated as a technique for improving robots' natural communication skills. Robots can form a natural bond with humans through social interaction, which consequently increases their effectiveness. In this paper, we introduce recent human-care robot-related issues and subsequently describe technical challenges and implications for the success of human-care robots. In addition, we review recent trends on social interaction technologies and the datasets required.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the compositional fitness and independence of the original six dimensions and the newly-designed six dimensions of Integrated Questionnaire for the Measurement of Social Capital[SC-IQ], and to explore the more simplified version for convenient use in public health-related social capital studies. Methods: This study reanalyzed social capital items included in a 2004 community health survey of K-city conducted by Hallym Health Services Research Center. Data was collected from 1,000 adults using core questions of SC-IQ. Explanatory factor analyses to all questions were done, and the new six dimensions were established. Confirmatory factor analyses[CFA] were done on the original and new six dimensions. And then reliability and validity test were done. SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 7.0 were used. Results: The final CFA module to the new SC-IQ exhibited Root Mean Square Error of Approximation[RMSEA] 0.028 and only compositional fitness and independence, and was composed of four dimensions and eight questions, and covers all elements of social capital including structural, cognitive, operational, outcome, bonding and bridging elements. Conclusion: This study demonstrates the utility of a new, simplified version of SC-IQ as well as its convenience.
This study examines the effect of SNS tourism value (economic, social) and social capital (bonding, bridging) on SNS tourism satisfaction using SNS and the effect of SNS tourism satisfaction on reuse intention. In addition, in the relationship between SNS tourism satisfaction and reuse intention, a future-oriented time perspective variable was applied to investigate the moderating effect. We verified 326 people who had accommodation tourism experience using SNS. SPSS 25.0 and Smart PLS 3.0 were used to analyze reliability and validity. The study results are as follows. First, economic and social values had a positive effect on satisfaction. Second, it was found that bridging social capital had a positive effect on satisfaction, but bonding social capital had no effect. Third, satisfaction was confirmed to have a positive effect on reuse intention. Fourth, in the relationship between satisfaction and reuse intention, the future-oriented time perspective was found to have a significant moderating effect. The overall implications are presented through the research results, and it is expected that these will be used as basic data for the development plan of the tourism industry.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the determinant factors of the social capital construction through socal media focused on social media use, motives, trust. Total of 261, college students participated in this study. The data were analyzed by the exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, reliability analysis and path analysis based on structural equation model analysis using IBM SPSS 21 and IBM AMOS 21 program. Results show that social media use, motives(employment/reminiscences) and social media trust influenced positively on bridging social capital. Second, motives of use(information/exchange) and social media trust influenced positively on bonding social capital. Finally, social media use, specifically, social media trust generally promotes participatory social capital.
Background: The influence of social capital on the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and related behaviors and perceptions has been recognized during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to analyze the trends in social capital using primary data from the Korean Community Health Survey, which is the only available source in Korea for local-level social capital analysis. It also investigates the relationship between various variables, including social capital, as factors influencing COVID-19-related behaviors and perceptions. Methods: The study analyzed the temporal trends of social capital using raw data from four community health surveys conducted in 2017, 2019, 2020, and 2021. A multilevel analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between social capital and COVID-19-related behaviors and perceptions following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Results: Social capital consists of trust, bonding social capital, and bridging social capital. Within the trust sub-factor, trust in neighbors (Trust-1) declined after the COVID-19 pandemic, whereas trust in safety and general environment (Trust-2) and trust in medical services and public transportation (Trust-3) increased. Additionally, the gap between municipalities narrowed. COVID-19-related behaviors and perceptions, such as adherence to COVID-19 prevention measures, return to normal activities, and fear of COVID-19, showed improvement in 2021 compared to the previous year. Individual-level trust in neighbors was associated with reduced fear of COVID-19, while community-level trust in neighbors was associated with increased fear of COVID-19. Conclusion: Social capital plays a role in mitigating public health crises, and it is necessary to implement active policies that address the gap in social capital between metropolitan and rural areas. Strengthening risk communication regarding emerging infectious diseases such as COVID-19 is crucial.
The Purpose of this study was to identify of parent-child relationship, Perceived social support and coping of female in late adolescents and its relationships. The underlying assumption is that Parent-child relationship based on internal working cognition affects on perceived social support and coping. The sample was consisted of 277 female students of college. The instruments used in this study were Parental bonding instrument (PBI)(Parker, Tupling & Brown. 1979), Personal resources questionnaire : PRQ-part II (Weinert ' Brant, 1987), and Way of coping (Folkman & Lazarus, 1985). The data was analyzed using frequencies, correlation coefficient, ANOVA. and t-test. As a result. perceived social support correlated positively with Parental care and negatively with parental overprotection. Perceived social support showed positive relationship with coping. Perceived social support differed according to parent-child relationship type. The group of 'affectionate constraint' high care and high overprotection. reported high perceived social support, but 'affectionless control'(low care and high overprotection) reported low perceived social support. The group of high perceived social support showed higher parental care and higher coping than low one. The group of high coping showed higher parental care, lower parental overprotection and higher perceived social support than low one. Findings from this study linking retrospective accounts of early parental relationships to current working models concerning the nature of supportive relationships are consistent with attachment theory that individual who, as children, experienced relationships with their parents that were independent-encourage. affectionate, and not overprotective developed working models of others as available to provide social support. This study confirmed that perceived social support significantly related to coping in dealing with stress.
Purpose: This study was performed in order to assess the effect of the surface treatment methods and the use of bonding agent on the shear bond strength (SBS) between the aged CAD-CAM (computer aided design-computer aided manufacturing) hybrid materials and added composite resin. Materials and methods: LAVA Ultimate (LU) and VITA ENAMIC (VE) specimens were age treated by submerging in a $37^{\circ}C$ water bath filled with artificial saliva (Xerova solution) for 30 days. The surface was ground with #220 SiC paper then the specimens were divided into 9 groups according to the combination of the surface treatment (no treatment, grinding, air abrasion with aluminum oxide, HF acid) and bonding agents (no bonding, Adper Single Bond 2, Single Bond Universal). Each group had 10 specimens. Specimens were repaired (added) using composite resin (Filtek Z250), then all the specimens were stored for 7 days in room temperature distilled water. SBS was measured and the fractured surfaces were observed with a scanning electron microscope (SEM). One-way ANOVA and Scheffe test were used for statistical analysis (${\alpha}=.05$). Results: Mostly groups with bonding agent treatment showed higher SBS than groups without bonding agent. Among the groups without bonding agent the groups with aluminum oxide treatment showed higher SBS. However there was no significant difference between groups except two subgroups within LU group, which revealed a significant increase of SBS when Single Bond Universal was used on the ground LU specimen. Conclusion: The use of bonding agent when repairing an aged LAVA Ultimate restoration is recommended.

The purpose of this study is to explore the benefits of social capital obtained through the use of social media from the perspective of fashion. The study conducted in-depth interviews with 10 women in their 20s who utilized Instagram and YouTube for fashion-related activities. The results show that bonding social capital was related to Instagram and led increasingly to narrow and deep relationships with acquaintances who had already established offline relationships. The study also finds that informational benefit was derived from people who use Instagram image information for smart fashion consumption; in addition, positive feedback on their posts brought the emotional benefit of psychological satisfaction. On the other hand, bridge social capital developed from YouTube users and subscribers. The study discovers that YouTuber public communication or the exchange of opinions leads to an increase in bridge social capital, which is a wide and shallow relationship. Video-based YouTube brought informational benefits as a specific product description, and there were emotional benefits in terms of entertainment while watching videos that combined fashion and entertainment. This report sheds light on individual fashion activities on social media, which is discussed from the perspective of social capital.
