Recently, PDP barrier ribs require the formation of complex structure so that they are usually formed by etching method. For producing the fine ribs structure, during the etching process the metal ions of matrix (glass) of barrier materials should be understood on the etching mechanism with etching condition. We analyzed the quantity of Pb, Si, and B ions from the etch solution as a function of etching time.

This paper presents an algorithm, which is based on Otsu's method, for accurate and robust endpoint detection for speech recognition under noisy environments. The features are extracted in time domain, and then an optimal threshold is selected by minimizing the discriminant criterion, so as to maximize the separability of the speech part and environment part. The simulation results show that the method play a good performance in detection accuracy.

A number of Korean potsherd samples has been classified by Fisher's discriminant method for the training set of Kyungki, Koryung and Kyungnam groups. The Koryung samples have been further classified for the training set of Koryung A, B and C subgroups. The training sets have been used to define classification of unknown samples and clay samples so as to find out some similarity between clay samples and certain potsherd groups.

Transfersomes are highly detormable hydrophilic lipid vesicles that are able to penetrate the skin barrier so that they can be used to carry low- and high-molecular weight molecules into the body. Until recently. it has been reported that molecules such as insulin. interleukin-2 and several other large molecules have been transported into the body using Transfersomes as a delivery system. Here however, for the very first time, genes (GFP) have been transported into the mice non-invasively using the Transtersomes as a delivery vehicle. (omitted)

Dongchunghacho (Dong-Chong-Xia-Cho in Chinese) is one of entomogenous fungi that grow as parasites mainly to pupae or larvae. It includes many different genera such as Cordyceps, Paecilomyces, Torrubiella and Podonectria. The ethanolic extract of Cordyceps scarabaeicola, prepared from its fruiting bodies, showed significant inhibitory activity on angiogensis, which was detected by chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) assay. The ethanolic extract of media-cultured Paecilomyces japonica also showed significant anti-angiogenic activity in CAM assay. (omitted)

We study the real-analytic continuation of local real-analytic solutions to the Cauchy problems of quasi-linear partial differential equations of first order for a scalar function. By making use of the first integrals of the characteristic vector field and the implicit function theorem we determine the maximal domain of the analytic extension of a local solution as a single-valued function. We present some examples including the scalar conservation laws that admit global first integrals so that our method is applicable.

There is a acupuncture method which make a difference according to the four seasons, according to body region or depth in skin. We call it Acupuncture follow the four seasons(四時刺法). In several chapters of Huangdineijing(黃帝內經) introduced Acupuncture follow the four seasons. Acupuncture follow the four seasons has two kinds of acupuncture method that is to acupuncture at body region and to acupuncture at five Su points(五兪穴). To use five Su points(五兪穴) according to Yongchu(靈樞) disagree with Nanjing(難經). In Yongchu(靈樞), the five phases property disagree with five Su points(五兪穴), but in Nanjing(難經) the five phases property agree with five Su points(五兪穴). Even if we can acupuncture the same point, there will be the different effect according as what is the purpose of doing acupuncture, and when we do acupuncture. That is to say, we can use apucupuncture for the purpose of prevention in Yongchu(靈樞), and for the purpose of healing the disease in Nanjing(難經). Therefore, because we select the point on the base of meridian Kis origin which spring out, we have to acupuncture Chong point(井穴) in winter according to Yongchu(靈樞). Because we select the point on the base of meridian Kis origin which flowing, we have to acupuncture Chong point(井穴) in spring according to Nanjing(難經). And in the base of five phases' property, the purpose of selecting five Su points(五兪穴) is the prevention according to Yongchu(靈樞), and the healing according to Nanjing(難經). So even though we acupuncture the exactly same Chong point(井穴), we can expect the effect that acupuncture method supply Ki for liver in winter. and the effect that it extract pathogenic Ki(邪氣) from the liver in spring.

The present study investigated the effect of area-specific social networks on urban workers life satisfaction. For this, 356 adults over age 20 were interviewed from June 17th 2013 to June 29th 2013. The findings are as follows: First, the closeness of family network index demonstrates that participants with higher affective support have higher life satisfaction. In addition, stronger extended family network brings more life satisfaction and so does a bigger friendship network. Secondly, the extended family network explains 17.6% of the variance in social networks follows by family network, other network, and friendship network, respectively. The closeness variable of social networks yields statistical significance on all categories of networks. The affective support level in the closeness variable of social networks shows differences as well; family network positively associates with life satisfaction. The purposes of this research are to investigate the actual conditions of urban workers' life satisfaction and the influence of family, extended family, friendship, and other variables on life satisfaction. If social networks have an influence on life satisfaction, to find the domain of social networks that holds the most influences on life satisfaction is an important ground in the process of implementing regional welfare.

Paraquat has been widely used as a herbicide in Korea since 1970. Human ingestion results in transient impairment of liver and kidney function and a characteristically respiratory failure with a high mortality rate. Clinical investigation and Oriental Medical Treatment were done on 3 cases of paraquat poisoning admitted to the department of 1st Internal Medicine. Kyung San University Oriental Medical Hospital from August 1991 to December 1992. and following results were obtained. The symptoms of paraquat poisoning can be regarded as Sim hua chi song(心火熾盛), Kan hua sang yom(肝火上炎). um hu hua wang(陰虛火旺), Kan tam sup yol(肝膽濕熱), Yang myong yol tok(陽明熱毒) in Oriental Medicine. and the principle of treatment for paraquat poisoning can be applicable to Chong yol Ii sop(淸熱利濕), Chong yol hae tok(淸熱解毒). Sa ha hae tok(瀉下解毒). Ja um kang hua(滋陰降火) and so on. Three cases were treated by HuangYonHaeTokTang(黃蓮解毒湯) and KamDuTang(甘豆湯): all of them have survived without complications. According to the result above, it suggests that determination of treatment based on the differentiation of symptoms and signs(Pyon jung si chi ;辨證施治) of Oriental Medicine may prove to be helpful in saving lives of patients with paraquat poisoning.
