자초염료의 염색성 증진을 위한 방안(I) (A Study Improvement of Adsorption of Gromwell)

  • Cotton, Silk, Acrylic fabrics을 chitosan으로 처리하여 천연염료 자초로 Al, Sn, Cu등의 매염제를 이용한 염색을 하였더니 다음과 같은 결과가 나왔다. chitosan 처리포가 미처리포 보다 염색성이 모두 월등하게 우수했다. 또한 Al, Sn, Cu 등의 단독매염제의 사용시 보다 chiotosan과 함께 사용했을 때가 더욱 우수했다. 특히 아크릴포의 경우 무매염, Sn, Al 매염의 사용시 염색효과가 거의 발현되지 않았으나 chitosan 처리포의 경우 염색효과가 나타났으며, chiotosan 처리포를 중금속매염제와 함께 사용했을 때는 우수한 염색성이 발현되었다. 위 3종 중금속매염제 중 Cu로 chiotosan 처리포를 실험했을 때가 염색성이 가장 우수했다.

질산염 이온의 전해 환원을 위한 Sn-modified Pt 전극 표면에서의 Sn 안정성 거동 특성 (Stability Characteristics of Sn Species Behavior on Surface of a Sn-modified Pt Electrode for Electrolytic Reduction of Nitrate Ion)

  • 본 논문에서는 질산염 이온의 환원을 위한 Sn의 흡착 또는 전착을 가지는 Sn-modified Pt 전극의 안정성이 평가되었다. 전극의 불안정성의 원인을 찾기 위하여 전극이 접하는 용액과 전극에 가해지는 전압에 따른 Pt 표면에서 Sn의 전기화학적 및 재료적 변화가 조사되었다. 제작된 Sn-modified Pt 전극 표면의 Sn은 hydroxide 형태로 존재하여 물, 특히 산 용액에서 방치하는 것에 의해서도 용해되어 쉽게 전극의 활성이 감소되었으며, 질산염 이온의 환원 시 전극에 $Sn(OH)_2$와 Sn의 산화-환원 평형 전압 보다 음의 전압이 가해질 때 전극 표면의 Sn hydroxide는 Sn으로 환원되어 Pt 전극 내부로 고체 확산되었고, 이는 Sn-modified Pt 전극의 활성을 감소시켰다. Sn의 고체 확산은 전극에 가해주는 전압에 비례하였다. Sn을 Pt에 코팅시키기 위하여 UPD 조건에서 흡착하는 것 보다 많은 Sn을 Pt 표면에 붙일 수 있는 Sn을 Pt에 전해 전착시키는 것이 질산염 이온의 환원하는 동안 전극의 건전성을 유지하는데 유리하였다.

오디 분말을 이용한 견직물의 염색성 (Dyeing Properties of Morus alba L. Fruit Powder on the Silk Fabric)

  • The main colorant of Morus alba L. fruit is anthocyanin which is a kind of flavonoid group. In this article, the dyeing properties of colorant extracted from Morus alba L. fruit were investigated on some silk fabrics. The results were as follows: The maximum absorbance of Morus alba L. fruit showed at 284 nm, and 516 nm by UV-VIS spectrophotometer. The dye adsorption increased according as dye concentration. The optimal dyeing temperature was $60^{\circ}C$ and the dye equilibrium was reached 40 minutes after dyeing. The highest K/S value of the colorant obtained at bath ratio 40:1. The effect of pH of dye solution showed higher K/S value at acidic than alkaline condition. Almost Mordants except pre-Fe and Sn did not significantly increased dye adsorption. The pre mordanted silk fabrics showed RP, P, and post mordanted ones showed PB, GY. The color fastnesses to light, washing, and perspiration were modified at pre-Sn mordanted samples.

Redox Behavior of Sn and S in Alkaline Earth Borosilicate Glass Melts with 1 mol% Na2O

  • Redox investigation of Sn and S ion was attempted in alkaline earth borosilicate glass melts with only 1 mol% $Na_2O$ by means of Square Wave Voltammetry (SWV). According to voltammograms, there was only one peak due to $Sn^{4+}/Sn^{2+}$ in melt doped with $SnO_2$. The calculated standard enthalpy and entropy of the reduction of $Sn^{4+}$ to $Sn^{2+}$ were 116kJ/mole and 62 J/mol K, respectively. The determined redox ratio, [$Sn^{2+}$] / [$Sn^{4+}$] in the temperature range of $1300{\sim}1600^{\circ}C$ was in $0.4{\sim}2.1$. On the contrary, in the voltammogram of melt doped with $BaSO_4$ there was no peak due to $S^{4+}/S^o$ but shoulder that might be attributed to the adsorption of sulfur at the electrode. The absence of the peak related with $S^{4+}/S^o$ was discussed from the view-point of the thermal decomposition behavior of $BaSO_4$ in the glass batch.

  • Mesoporous tinoxide ($SnO_2$) as anode materials for Li-ion battery were prepared by hydrothermal method and templating method using SBA-15 as template. And electrochemical properties of $SnO_2$ electrode were investigated with cyclic voltammogram (CV). The morphology and structures of $SnO_2$ were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffractometer (XRD), respectively. The specific surface area was defined by $N_2$ adsorption with BET(Brunauer-Emmett-Teller) method. As a result, the surface area of mesoporous $SnO_2$ which was made from templating method is higher than the case of using hydrothermal method. In addition, in anodic performance, mesoporous $SnO_2$ which is prepared by templating method showed higher charge-discharge capasity compared to hydrothermal method and exhibited excellent stability over the entire cycle number. It was indicated that electrochemical performances of mesoporous $SnO_2$mainly affected to the structural features, such as specific surface area and porosity.

나노 결정 SnO2와 백금 박막히터를 이용한 접촉연소식 마이크로 가스센서의 감응특성 연구 (Catalytic combustion type hydrogen micro gas sensor using thin film heater and nano crystalline SnO2)

  • Planar type micro catalytic combustible gas sensor was developed by using nano crystalline $SnO_2$ Pt thin film as micro heater was deposited by thermal evaporation method on the alumina substrate. The thickness of the Pt heater was around 160 nm. The sensor showed high reliability with prominent selectivity against various gases(Co, $C_3H_8,\;CH_4$) at low operating temperature($156^{\circ}C$). The sensor with nano crystalline $SnO_2$ showed higher sensitivity than that without nano crystalline $SnO_2$. This can be explained by more active adsorption and oxidation of hydrogen by nano crystalline $SnO_2$ particles. The present planar-type catalytic combustible hydrogen sensor with nano crystalline $SnO_2$ is a good candidate for detection of hydrogen leaks.

  • Dyeing properties of the colorants from gromwell on cotton fabric were investigated. The effects of dyeing conditions on dye uptake and the effects of mordants and mordanting methods on K/S value, color change and colorfastness were explored. Gromwell colorants showed low affinity to cotton fabric, and its adsorption isotherm was Freundlich type close to Langmuir type. Therefore, it was considered that hydrogen bonding and Vander Waals force were involved in the adsorption of gromwell colorants to cotton fabric. Pre-mordanting method except Sn mordant gave higher K/S value but it was not significant. Gromwell colorants produced mainly R and RP color on cotton fabric depending on mordants and mordanting method. Dyed cotton fabric showed generally high colorfastness irrespective of mordanting treatment. Light colorfastness was increased by repeat dyeing and Fe and Sn mordanting.

Sensing Characterization of Metal Oxide Semiconductor-Based Sensor Arrays for Gas Mixtures in Air

  • Micro-electronic gas sensor devices were developed for the detection of carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxides (NOx), ammonia (NH3), and formaldehyde (HCHO), as well as binary mixed-gas systems. Four gas sensing materials for different target gases, Pd-SnO2 for CO, In2O3 for NOx, Ru-WO3 for NH3, and SnO2-ZnO for HCHO, were synthesized using a sol-gel method, and sensor devices were then fabricated using a micro sensor platform. The gas sensing behavior and sensor response to the gas mixture were examined for six mixed gas systems using the experimental data in MEMS gas sensor arrays in sole gases and their mixtures. The gas sensing behavior with the mixed gas system suggests that specific adsorption and selective activation of the adsorption sites might occur in gas mixtures, and allow selectivity for the adsorption of a particular gas. The careful pattern recognition of sensing data obtained by the sensor array made it possible to distinguish a gas species from a gas mixture and to measure its concentration.

  • This paper reports a novel gas sensing method by using a thermoelectric device, thermopile in this case, with an embedded tin oxide catalyst. By using a thin catalyst film, the response time and recovery time were remarkably improved. The fabricated gas sensor was characterized through detecting NOx gas with various concentrations.

  • $CaSnO_3$ 시편을 고상반응법에 의해 제작하고, 그의 감습특성에 대해 조사하였다. 커패시턴스는 상대습도가 증가함에 따라 증가하며, 저주파 영역에서 우수한 감습도를 나타냈다. 감습도는 온도변화에 안정되며, 흡습, 탈습에 따라 약간의 히스테리시스 현상이 나타났다. 대기중 노출에 의해 드리프트 현상이 나타나며, 가열클리닝에 의해 오염에 의한 감습도 저하를 방지할 수 있다.
