Remote Control Interaction for Individual Environment of Smart TV (개별 사용자 환경을 위한 스마트TV 리모트컨트롤 인터랙션 방식 제안)

  • Today cases of using individual service on community TV are increasing with the advent of smart TV. The traditional way for using individual service like e-mail or SNS on TV is not simple and puts in too much time because it has to type so many text using remote control that is unsuitable for typing. In this paper, interaction using cube remote control is proposed in order to facilitate individual service on TV. It is simple interaction like shaking and tapping instead of a complex interaction method. In addition, it is believed that the proposed simple interaction using cube interaction might be one of great alternatives for using individual service on smart TV.

Tribulus terrestris Suppresses the Lipopolysaccharide-Induced Inflammatory Reaction in RAW264.7 Macrophages through Heme Oxygenase-1 Expressions

  • The fruit of Tribulus terrestris L. (Zygophyllaceae) is an important source of traditional Korean and Chinese medicines. In this study, NNMBS223, consisting of the ethanol extract of T. terrestris, showed potent anti-inflammatory activities in RAW264.7 macrophages. We investigated the effect of NNMBS223 in suppressing the protein expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 and production of iNOS-derived nitric oxide (NO), COX-2-derived prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated macrophages. In addition, NNMBS223 induced expression of heme oxygenase (HO)-1 through nuclear translocation of nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) in macrophages. The effects of NNMBS223 on LPS-induced production of NO and PGE2 were partially reversed by the HO activity inhibitor tin protoporphyrin (SnPP). These findings suggest that Nrf2-dependent increases in expression of HO-1 induced by NNMBS223 conferred anti-inflammatory activities in LPS stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages.

A Study on the Fracture Mode Characteristics of Automotive Application Component Lead-free Solder Joints (자동차 전장부품 무연솔더 접합부의 파괴모드 특성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the characteristic of fractured portion and shape on solder joints were investigated according to the thermal shock test for Automotive Application Component using Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu solder, which has a outstanding property as Lead-free solder. The value of pull and shear strength was decreased in principle after 432 cycles thermal shock test. In addition, fracture mode was verified by using EDS and SEM to observe fractured shape on the solder joints before and after thermal shock. In before thermal shock test, the fracture mode revealed typically solder layer's fracture mode. In after thermal shock test, we identified multiple fracture mode of the ductile and brittle fracture. Even though same composition of solder was used to experimental for estimating. the fracture mode varied on the fracture portion's height and the directional angles of shear strength. In conclusion, we identified that mechanical strength was affected on the solder layer's fracture mode.

  • Enzymatic ethanolysis of fish oil with immobilized lipase was investigated for reducing the free fatty acid contents and enhancing the function of fish oil. Ethanolysis reactions were carried out in erlenmeyer flask (25ml) containing a mixture of squid viscera oil and 99.9% ethanol using 1% (based on w/w squid viscera oil) immobilized lipase. The reaction mixtures were incubated at $50^{\circ}C$ and shaken at 100rpm. Ethanol was added into the mixture by stepwise addition method of Shinmada[9]. Measurement of free fatty acid molar amounts was studied by Acid Value. Tendency of oil variation during transesterification was studied by TLC method. Enzymatic ethanolysis composed diglyceride, monoglyceride and fatty acid ethyl ester with reducing free fatty acid contents. Also, selective ethanolysis by Lipozyme TL-IM and Lipozyme RM-IM mostly did not react at the sn-2 position of squid viscera oil. Lipozyme RM-IM was more suitable enzyme to reduce the free fatty acid contents by ethanolysis than Lipozyme TL-IM. Squid viscera oil was transformed into suitable properties (5 in Acid Value) for functional fish oil production.

  • Phishing scans through wired telephones have been evolving into smissing and pharming. While we use wire or wireless telephones, text messages, e-mails, and online-banking conveniently, the ways of hacking and phishing attacks are getting developed and various. This paper investigates the various aspects of attacks depending on the kinds of phishing and suggests general prevention measures. In addition, the user-oriented practical preventive measures and government-driven long term measures are proposed in this paper. Technological developments, short or long term preventive measures proposed by the government, and continuous public relations could be solutions since in a short time, it could be difficult to eradicate phishing scams evolving continuously. Besides, the internet media as well as SNS are great helps in promoting the preventives against phishing and smissing. Finally this paper asserts that the newly developed service technology should be made carefully without security problems.

  • The social networking service (SNS) is free, but the data usage fee paid to the telecommunications company and the member's information must be provided directly or indirectly. In addition, while SNS' specifications for transmitting and receiving devices such as smart-phones and PCs are increasing day by day, using universal transmission protocols in special environments such as contaminated areas or semiconductor manufacturing plants where work instructions are mainly made using short messages is not easy. It is not free and has a problem of weak security. This paper verified the practicality through the operation test by implementing IMCP, a low-power, low-cost message transmission protocol that aims to be wearable in special environments such as risk, pollution, and clean zone based on ATmega128.

  • Rate constants for the reaction of methyl chloroformate with substituted anilines, and for the halogen exchanges in phenyl chloroformate have been determined in acetone. Although the rate data can be interpreted equally well with the addition-elimination mechanism($S_AN$) involving an intermediate, results of MO and isotope effect studies strongly favor the synchronous ($S_N2$) mechanism for the reactions studied. It was concluded that for the fast reacting nucleophiles the transition state is of "late" type while for the slow reacting nucleophiles it is of "early" type.

  • IoT is emerging topic of the post-smartphone era. But IoT service is actually not easy but due to the absence of the open standard IoT service platform. In this study, We propose and implement IoT services platform using commercial SNS platform like Tweet, Facebook or YouTube. we implement the intelligent control system of the urban farm using our IoT services platform as an example. Our system can save an additional server deployment and management cost using open SNS platform like Tweet or Facebook or Youtube. In addition, there are needs to develop App. for the smartphone because we can take advantage of the user interface which is developed by global enterprises.

  • Customer is the base factor of income for some corporations, so that effective CRM (Customer Relationship Management) is very important to develop the business. In order to use CRM efficiently, we should figure out customers' demands and provide services or products that the customers want. However, it is getting difficult to comprehend customers' demands because they have complicated form and getting more diverse. Recently, social media like Twitter and Facebook let customers to express their demands, and using big data is a very effective method for efficient CRM. This research suggests how to utilize big data for hotel CRM, which considers customer itself as asset of business. In addition, we discuss security problems of big data service and propose the solution for that.

  • For the millimeter-wave dielectrics, Forsterite-based ceramics were produced. Pure forsterite ceramics($Mg_2SiO_4$) shows porous micro-structure and very low Q*f values, which is not suitable for the dielectrics for the millimeter-wave band. Several sintering aids including $Al_2O_3$, $Li_2CO_3$, $Li_2SiO_4$, were added to the forsterite ceramics in order to produce dense low-loss dielectrics. Among these additives, $Li_2CO_3$ is the most effective sintering aids. Several sub-components including NiO, ZnO, $SnO_2$, $TiO_2$, were added to enhance the microwave dielectric properties. $TiO_2$ is the most effective additive to enhance the dielectric properties at microwave bands. The simultaneous addition of $TiO_2$ and $Li_2CO_3$ increases Q*f value over 170,000, which can be used as dielectrics in millimeter-wave bands.
