웹캠과 스마트폰 기반의 반려 동물 돌봄 로봇의 구현 및 전원 관리 (Implementation of a Pet Care Robot Based on Webcam and Smartphone and its Power Management)

  • We developed a pet care robot that can be controlled outdoors. Through the smartphone application, the pet owners can watch the situation in the house and manipulate the robot to make their pet happy. The video data in the house is transmitted to the application through the webcam installed at the house. The robot can not only perform user's command but also do six basic macro action. The obstacle avoidance function using the current sensor can be activated if the user want to use. When the robot hits to something, it moves back and rotates by arbitrary angle, and then moves forward.

  • In this paper, we introduce a novel approach to enhance document security by integrating Computer Generated Hologram(CGH) encryption technology with a system for document encryption, printing, and subsequent verification using a smartphone application. The proposed system enables the encryption of documents using CGH technology and their printing on the edges of the document, simplifying document verification and validation through a smartphone application. Furthermore, the system leverages high-resolution smartphone cameras to perform online verification of the original document and supports offline document decryption, ensuring tamper detection even in environments without internet connectivity. This research contributes to the development of a comprehensive and versatile solution for document security and integrity, with applications in various domains.

  • 스마트TV는 기존의 일반TV에 개방형 웹 서비스와 스마트폰의 특징인 전용 앱 등 인터넷을 기반으로 하는 다양한 콘텐츠를 활용할 수 있는 멀티TV이다. 본 논문에서는 스마트TV를 이용한 어플리케이션으로서 요리 레시피를 시뮬레이션 화하여 게임처럼 즐길 수 있는 웹 시스템을 제안한다.

A Study on Implementation of Safety Navigation Mobile Application Converging Marine Environment Information and Location-Based Service

  • In this paper, we implemented a safety navigation mobile application that converged AtoN information and location-based services. When application user uses the smartphone's GPS sensor to transmit the user's vessel location data to the data server, the user receives information of which its providing range is considered, such as stored AtoN data, neighboring vessels information, danger area, and weather information in the server. Providing information is sorted based on the smartphone's direction and inclination and it will be also delivered via wireless network (5G, LTE, 3G, WiFi). Additionally the application is available to implement other functions such as information provision through voice and text alarming service when the user's vessel is either approaching or entering the danger area, and an expanded information provision service that is available in shadow area linking with data-storing methods; other linkable data such as weather and other neighboring vessels will be applied based on the lasted-saved data perceived from the non-shadow area.

  • 최근 들어 스마트폰의 보급과 활용이 급증함에 따라 스마트폰관련 연구는 IT분야의 중요한 연구과제중 하나가 되었다. 게임을 비롯한 수많은 어플리케이션이 개발되고 있으며, 지속적으로 많은 어플리게이션이 개발될 것이다. 기존의 많은 어플리케이션이 개발되었으나 우리나라의 전통놀이를 소재로 한 어플리케이션은 많지 않다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라의 전통놀이중 하나인 고누를 안드로이드 환경에서 개발하였다. 고누는 연령에 상관없이 즐길 수 있는 보드게임중 하나이다. 고누와 같은 전통문화와 관련된 어플리게이션이 개발되어 스마트폰환경에서도 우리나라 문화를 알릴 수 있는 계기가 되기를 기대한다.

  • 스마트폰은 여러 가지 편의기능 제공뿐 아니라 개인의 개성까지 표현하는 등 그 범위가 점차 증가되고 있다. 사람이 서로 만났을 때 바뀌게 되는 외향의 변화와 같이 스마트폰의 변화에도 개인들이 즉각적으로 반응하게 되었다. 서로의 스마트폰을 관찰하는 것이 보편화된 지금 스마트폰 공유로 인한 정보의 유출이 심각한 문제가 되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 스마트폰을 공유할 때 스마트폰에서 사용자의 영역을 구분하며, 개인정보의 제약과 암호화를 적용함으로써 필요이상의 정보의 유출을 막고 특정 어플리케이션으로 추가된 정보는 암호화되어 저장되어 다른 유사 어플리케이션에서는 접근이 불가능하게 하여 개인정보를 보호할 수 있었다. 이를 통하여 스마트폰을 공유할 때에도 개인정보 유출을 개선하였다.

스마트폰 위치기반서비스에서 정보제공의도 : 프라이버시 계산 관점을 중심으로 (Intention to Disclose Personal Information in LBS : Based on Privacy Calculus Perspective)

  • LBS(Location-Based Service) is one of the smartphone application services which has been receiving great attention recently. Various applications of smartphone use LBS to provide innovative services. However, use of LBS raises privacy concerns because the location information of users is constantly exposed. Privacy calculus perspective attempts to understand the characteristics of the user's privacy. It is based on the risk-benefit analysis in the economics' perspective. That is, when the benefit expected through personal information disclosure is higher than risk, we are willing to provide personal information. This research suggested a research model based on the privacy calculus perspective to clarify the effect of information disclosure intention of smartphone LBS application users. Based on the main factors of privacy calculus, perception of privacy risk and privacy benefit, the relationship of the perceived value and the information disclosure intention was empirically analyzed by utilizing structural equation modeling(SEM) methodology. According to the results of the empirical analysis, it was found that all relations have statistically significant explanatory power except the relation between privacy concern and information disclosure intention. This study showed a strong evidence of antecedent factors based on privacy calculus of personal information disclosure in smartphone LBS applications.

Smart Multiple-Tap System Based on WiFi for reduction of Standby-Power

  • In this paper, we proposed a smart multiple-tap system which a remote user with smartphone can control multiple-taps in order to reduce standby-power consumption more conveniently when plugged-in electric appliances are turned-off. Recently, several researches of smart multiple-tap using IoT technology has reported. However, in these researches, an additional device like as a server computer is necessary, or multiple-taps could be only remotely controlled by smartphone and not directly controlled by on/off switch. The proposed smart multiple-tap system does not need any additional device only if it has a WiFi router, and it can be used for user as well as remote control using smartphone application and physically direct control using contact switches like existing multiple-taps. Our approach is to develop a smart multiple-tap device capable of WiFi communication can each serve as a server or a client, and can be operated by the hybrid switch combining the on/off contact switch and the relay switch. We implemented the prototype of the proposed system composed of the smart multiple-tap device and the smartphone application, and the test of the prototype validates the proposed system.

  • 개인의 건강 및 상태 정보를 모니터링하기 위한 다양한 센서 기기들이 개발되고 있으며, 스마트폰 상에서 동작하는 응용과 연동을 통해 개인화된 정보를 시각화하여 보여주는 서비스들이 등장하고 있다. 이러한 응용들은 유사한 정보를 사용자에게 제공하면서도 표준화되지 않은 패킷 구조로 인해 센서 기기마다 별도의 응용을 설치해야 하는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 비표준화된 개인용 센서 기기들이 스마트폰과 동적으로 연동될 수 있는 센서 기기 식별 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 센서 기기에 대한 패킷 정보를 서버에 저장하기 때문에 사용하는 센서가 변동되더라도 스마트폰 상에서 동작하는 클라이언트의 변경 없이 응용을 동작할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

Smart Tourism: A Study of Mobile Application Use by Tourists Visiting South Korea

  • The purpose of this exploratory study is to identify the mobile phone applications (apps) used by foreign tourists visiting South Korea through a pilot study using focus groups and individual interviews. Concentrating on tourist mobile app use in a smart tourism environment and categorized through a taxonomy of mobile applications lays the framework and determines the factors boosting tourism smartphone app trends by foreign tourists visiting South Korea. Researchers collected data through ethnographic methods and analyzed it through qualitative research to uncover major themes within the smart tourism app use phenomenon. The researchers coded, counted, analyzed, and then divided the findings gleaned from a pilot study and interviews into a taxonomy of seven logical smartphone app categories. The labeling and coding of all the data accounting for similarities and differences can be recognized and are logically discussed in the implications of the apps used by tourists to assist tourist destinations. More specifically these findings will assist smart tourism destinations by better understanding foreign tourist smartphone app use behavior. Tourists visiting South Korea interviewed in this study exhibited significant mastery of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, craved free WiFi access, and utilized smartphone apps for all facets of their travel. Findings show major concentrations of app use in bookings of accommodations, tourist attractions, online shopping, navigation, wayfinding, augmented reality, information searching, language translation, gaming, and online dating while traveling in South Korea.
