  • The MATS (Mesosphere Airglow / Aerosol Tomography Spectroscopy) satellite is a Swedish scientific microsatellite which Kyung Hee University participates in developing. The limb telescope of the MATS satellite is designed with linear astigmatism-free off axis optical configuration which allows wide field of view ($5.67^{\circ}{\times}0.91^{\circ}$). Here we present the full-field optical performance test setup that consists of a point source, a collimator, the limb telescope and a CCD (Charged Coupled Device). The incidence angle of the collimator was carefully controlled by the rotary stage under the limb telescope. The imaging tests represent expected results without dominant aberrations.

  • WHEN IT IS REQUIRED TO CONNECT OVERHEAD TRANSMISSION LINE WITH UNDERGROUND CABLE, PREVALENT METHOD WAS TO USE CABLE HEAD TYPICALLY MADE OF LATTICE STEEL STRUCTURE. BUT IN VIEW OF THE INCREASING DEMAND THAT STEEL STRUCTURE INSTALLED IN URBAN AREA AND/OR RESIDENTIAL AREA NEED TO MATCH WITH ENVIRONMENTAL SURROUNDINGS, THE UNSHAPELY LARGE-SIZED LATTICE STEEL STRUCTURE CAN NOT BE A PROPER ONE BECAUSE THAT IT IS NOT WELCOMED BY THE RESIDENTS AND ACCORDINGLY ITS INSTALLATION TENDS TO CONFRONT WITH CIVIL PETITION. AS AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD TO SETTLE AFOREMENTIONED UNFAVOURABLE SITUATION WE MAY BE UNDER, WE AR INTENDING TO DEVELOP THE CABLE HEAD MADE OF TAPERED TUBULAR STEEL POLE AND TO PUT IT TO PRACTICAL USE. THE ADVANTAGE WE CAN TAKE OF THE TAPERED TUBULAR STEEL POLE IS THAT IT CAN BE INSTALLED IN A VERY LIMITED SPACE MAXIMIZING THE UTILITY VALUE OF THE LAND AND THAT ITS SMART SHAPE WITH COLOUR COATING IN CONSIDERATION OF AESTHETIC AESTHETIC CAN BE IN GOOD HARMONY WITH THE SURROUNDINGS.

  • In this paper, the possibility of using human induced loading (HIL) to detect a decrease of tension in the cable-stays of an existing footbridge is investigated. First, a reliable finite elements model of an existing footbridge is developed by calibration with experimental data. Next, estimates of the tension in the cables are derived and their dependency on the modal features of the deck is investigated. The modelling of the HIL is briefly discussed and used to perform the nonlinear, large strain, dynamic finite elements analyses. The results of these analyses are assessed with focus on characterizing the time histories of the tension in the cables under pedestrian crossing and their effects on the deck response for different initial conditions. Finally, the control perspective is introduced in view of further research.

  • Model Order Reduction (MOR) denotes the theory by which one tries to catch a model of order lower than that of the real model. This is conveniently pursued in view of the design of an efficient structural control scheme, just passive within this paper. When the nonlinear response of the reference structural system affects the nature of the reduced model, making it dependent on the visited subset of the input-output space, standard MOR techniques do not apply. The mathematical theory offers some specific alternatives, which however involve a degree of sophistication unjustified in the presence of a few localized nonlinearities. This paper suggests applying standard MOR to the linear parts of the structural system, the interface remaining the original unreduced nonlinear components. A case study focused on the effects of a helicopter land crash is used to exemplify the proposal.

  • Recently Micro-blog service is used quickly in our life with dissemination of Smart-phone. This study performed based on a view that there is a difference of user's intention to reuse Web-blogs & Micro-blogs. This study also based on the existing motive theory for using which considers five factors-information, entertainment, interaction, personalization, and convenience. The AMOS structure equation used for the analysis of users' revisit intention. The results of the study shows that Micro-blogs are influenced by entertainment, personalization, and convenience. On the other hand, Web-blogs are influenced by entertainment, and personalization.

  • Thermoelasticity is a contactless technique for measuring stress distributions in structural elements stressed by dynamic loads. This work describes the characteristics, analyzes the main causes of uncertainty and illustrates a series of operative methods for reducing its effects. More specifically, the effects of the angle of view between the thermographic camera and the surface of the object are studied, along with those due to the heat transmission by conduction between the various parts of the thing being measured as a function of the stress frequencies. The analyses, both theoretical and experimental, are aimed at defining the operational limits and optimal measurement and test conditions in relation to the measurement uncertainty that is considered tolerable in the specific application.

  • In this paper, we introduce commercial indoor navigation systems being deployed and serviced in many fields of industry focusing on their indoor positioning technologies. Indoor positioning technology is a technology that locates people or targets in the interior of a building. To do that, it utilizes radio waves such as WiFi, and bluetooth, magnetic fields, or other sensory information from smart phones. We present indoor navigation systems categorizing them into their indoor positioning technologies. We define important performance issues for indoor positioning technologies and analyze them according to the performance issues. We believe that this paper provide wise view and necessary information for recent indoor navigation systems.

  • Spectrum allocation is a key operation in cognitive radio networks (CRNs), where secondary users (SUs) are usually selfish - to achieve itself utility maximization. In view of this context, much prior lit literature proposed spectrum allocation base on non-cooperative game models. However, the most of them proposed non-cooperative game models based on complete information of CRNs. In practical, primary users (PUs) in a dynamic wireless environment with noise uncertainty, shadowing, and fading is difficult to attain a complete information about them. In this paper, we propose a non-cooperative game joint hidden markov model scheme for spectrum allocation in CRNs. Firstly, we propose a new hidden markov model for SUs to predict the sensing results of competitors. Then, we introduce the proposed hidden markov model into the non-cooperative game. That is, it predicts the sensing results of competitors before the non-cooperative game. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves the energy efficiency of networks and utilization of SUs.
