Design and Implementation of Smart Vest for the Safety of Personal Mobility Device Users

  • As a solution to the rapid urbanization problem, interest in and use of personal mobility devices such as bicycles and electric kickboards are increasing, and accidents are also rising every year. In this study, a smart vest to prevent traffic accidents and promote safe driving of personal mobility users was designed and implemented. Unlike the existing products on the market that indicate directions using buttons, the smart vest designed and implemented in this study indicates the moving direction by shaking a bracelet and displays the direction by LEDs on the vest. Therefore, this product was designed and implemented to be safer and differentiated from other existing products.

  • In the background of the rapid development of the IoT, smart home work is becoming more and more important to each science and technology company. Smart home provides a safe, comfortable, high-quality, high-performance smart home living space compared to general homes, and at the same time It is responding to the low-carbon, eco-friendly global trend. Growth drivers driving the smart home market are increasing the number of Internet users, increasing disposable income in developing countries, increasing the importance of remote home monitoring, and increasing the need for energy saving and low carbon. In 2013-2014, Xiaomi launched a series of smart routers and smart home hardware devices. In 2015, it announced the latest product of the Xiaomi Ecological Chain, the "Smart Home Package," and in 2016 launched the MIJIA brand to invest in various smart product companies. In 2017, Xiaomi announced a plan to build an open smart hardware MIOT platform. We investigated the management strategy of Xiaomi home smart service based on IOT. The management strategy was divided into cost lead strategy, differentiation strategy of Xiaomi home service, and AIOT strategy of Xiaomi smart home.

A Study on Prediction of Traffic Volume Using Road Management Big Data

  • In reflection of road expansion and increasing use rates, interest has blossomed in predicting driving environment. In addition, a gigantic scale of big data is applied to almost every area around the world. Recently, technology development is being promoted in the area of road traffic particularly for traffic information service and analysis system in utilization of big data. This study examines actual cases of road management systems and road information analysis technologies, home and abroad. Based on the result, the limitations of existing technologies and road management systems are analyzed. In this study, a development direction and expected effort of the prediction of road information are presented. This study also examines regression analysis about relationship between guide name and traffic volume. According to the development of driving environment prediction platform, it will be possible to serve more reliable road information and also it will make safe and smart road infrastructures.

자율주행 환경에서 이미지 객체 분할을 위한 강화된 DFCN 알고리즘 성능연구 (A Study on the Performance of Enhanced Deep Fully Convolutional Neural Network Algorithm for Image Object Segmentation in Autonomous Driving Environment)

  • 최근 이미지 분할(Image Segmentation)에 관련되어 스마트 공장 산업과 의료 분야 등에 접목하려는 연구가 다수 진행되고 있다. 특히 딥러닝 알고리즘을 사용한 이미지 분할 시스템들은 대용량의 데이터를 높은 정확도로 학습할 만큼 발전되었다. 자율주행 분야에서도 이미지 분할을 이용하기 위해선 대용량의 데이터들에 대한 충분한 학습량이 필요하며, 실시간으로 운전자의 데이터를 처리하는 스트리밍 환경은 고속도로, 어린이보호구역 등으로 안전운행에 대한 정확도가 중요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다양한 도로환경에 적용할 수 있는 기존 FCN(Fully Convoulutional Network) 알고리즘을 강화한 DFCN 알고리즘을 제안하였으며, DFCN 알고리즘의 성능이 FCN 알고리즘과 비교하여 손실 값 측면에서 1.3% 개선하였음을 증명하였으며, 기존 U-Net 알고리즘에 DFCN 알고리즘을 적용하여 이미지 내의 주파수의 정보를 유지하여 더 좋은 결과치를 도출함으로써 결과적으로 자율주행 환경에서 DFCN 알고리즘이 FCN 알고리즘보다 성능이 향상되었다는 것을 증명하였다.

Strength analysis of the driving shift gears for a 67 kW class agricultural tractor according to tire type

  • The purpose of this study was to measure the engine torque and rotational speed of a 67 kW class agricultural tractor according to tire type during plow tillage and to analyze the gear strength of the driving shift for the tractor. A field test was performed under the condition with a single tire (Test A) and dual tires (Test B) to increase the ground width of the rear tires. A load monitoring system was developed, and the engine torque and rotational speed were measured using controller area network (CAN) communication. The engine torque and rotational speed during plow tillage were calculated as the equivalent torque and speed using Palmgren Miner's rule. As a result, the equivalent torque and speed in Test A and Test B were 181.0 Nm and 1,913 rpm and 206.1 Nm and 2,130 rpm, respectively. As the ground width of the rear tire was increased, the bending stress in Test B was about 9.9 to 10.5% higher than that of the Test A, and the contact stress was about 4.6 to 4.9% higher than that of the Test A. Under all conditions, the safety factor for the bending and contact stress was 1 or more. Thus, the driving shift gears for the dual tire type are considered safe.

스마트 자동차의 BSD 검지를 위한 추적알고리즘에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Tracking Algorithm for BSD Detection of Smart Vehicles)

  • Recently, Sensor technologies are emerging to prevent traffic accidents and support safe driving in complex environments where human perception may be limited. The UWS is a technology that uses an ultrasonic sensor to detect objects at short distances. While it has the advantage of being simple to use, it also has the disadvantage of having a limited detection distance. The LDWS, on the other hand, is a technology that uses front image processing to detect lane departure and ensure the safety of the driving path. However, it may not be sufficient for determining the driving environment around the vehicle. To overcome these limitations, a system that utilizes FMCW radar is being used. The BSD radar system using FMCW continuously emits signals while driving, and the emitted signals bounce off nearby objects and return to the radar. The key technologies involved in designing the BSD radar system are tracking algorithms for detecting the surrounding situation of the vehicle. This paper presents a tracking algorithm for designing a BSD radar system, while explaining the principles of FMCW radar technology and signal types. Additionally, this paper presents the target tracking procedure and target filter to design an accurate tracking system and performance is verified through simulation.

Safety Evaluate of Brackets for Bare Chassis of a 30-seated Bus

  • In the manufacturing process of the bus treated as the commercial vehicle, after making the bare chassis which is the basic frame of the vehicle body, the part in which passengers ride is connected. In addition, the necessary parts such as the engine and transmission required for the operation of the bus are connected to the bare chassis. The element connecting the parts such as the boarding part of the passengers, the engine, the suspension and the transmission is the bracket. The device required for driving and operating the vehicle is mounted on the bare chassis using the bracket, which should ensure stability during bus operation. In this study, we were performed stress analysis to evaluate the stability of three types of brackets connecting the bare chassis of a new type of 30-seater bus in the development process and components required for driving and operation. The stress analysis should be preceded by the analysis of boundary conditions considering the loads applied to the brackets according to the material of the bracket to be analyzed and the driving type of the bus. The finite element model for structural analysis of brackets according to the driving type of the bus was used by Altair's Hypermesh 2017, and the solver used for structural analysis was Altair's Optistruct. The stress analysis was performed to present the safe and vulnerable parts of the three brackets.

  • 최근 여러 분야에 걸쳐 기존의 감시시스템은 많은 문제점이 도출되고 있다. 이러한 문제점에 대해서 많은 연구가 활발히 진행 중이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 각종 사고 예방 및 안전 운행에 도움을 주고, 위험 사항을 외부로 연계하거나 관리자에게 알려주며, 실시간 분석 및 파악이 가능한 지능형 영상감시시스템의 구성, 기술요소, 요구 기능과 이의 응용과 그 적용에 대하여 연구하였다.

  • 자율주행 기술은 상용화될 경우 교통 네트워크에 안전성, 이동성, 환경성을 개선할 잠재력을 지니고 있다. 그러나, 센서 기능의 저하와 원거리 검지의 한계는 자율주행 차량의 안전한 주행을 방해할 수 있으므로 인근 차량과 인프라에서 수집한 정보를 활용하여 보완하는 자율협력주행이 필수적이다. 또한, HDV, AV, CAV는 인지할 수 있는 정보의 범위가 각기 다르고 이에 따른 대응 프로토콜이 상이하기 때문에 자율주행 기술 과도기에 발생하는 혼재 교통류에서의 대응책이 필요하다. 자율주행 차량 보급률, 도로 구간별 특성 차이를 복합적으로 고려한 교통류 최적화 연구가 부족하다. 본 연구는 인프라 가이던스 유스케이스 및 자율주행차량 MPR별 안전성, 이동성, 환경성에 따른 가중치를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. AHP 가중치를 개발하기 위해 MPR을 고려한 Hybrid AHP와 인프라 가이던스 구간 및 상황 별 AHP를 결합하고 통합 평가지표를 개발하였다. 분석결과, LOS A-B × MPR 10% × 분·합류부 및 엇갈림구간은 안전성 가중치(0.841)가 가장 높은 구간인 동시에 이동성 가중치(0.112)가 가장 낮은 구간이였으며, LOS A-B × MPR 50% × CAV 전용도로의 안전성 가중치(0.605)가 가장 낮은 구간인 동시에 이동성 가중치(0.335)가 가장 높은 구간으로 도출되었다. 본 연구의 결과를 기반으로 혼재 교통류를 최적화하기 위한 차량 별 통행 우선권을 부여하는데 활용할 수 있다.

Development of Smart driving monitoring device for Personal Mobility through Confusion Matrix verification

  • 배달산업이 COVID-19 상황과 함께 요식업을 중심으로 크게 성장함에 따라 배달업 종사자가 크게 증가했다. 그와 함께 개인형 모빌리티(Personal Mobility: PM)를 활용한 새로운 배달 형태가 등장했으며, 이륜차 혹은 PM 관련 사고는 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 안전 배달 모니터링 환경을 구축하기 위해 PM의 주행 분석 장치의 제작한다. 이를 위해 주행 분석 장치와 장치에서 수집된 데이터를 클라우드 서버를 통해 처리하는 시스템을 구성했으며, 이 시스템을 통해 PM의 운전상황에서 운전 중 발생할 수 있는 특수한 상황(가/감속, 과속방지턱 통과)을 인식하고 기록하고자 한다. 그 결과 장치 내 측정 센서(IMU)에서 수집한 각속도, 가속도, 지자기 값을 통해 운행 여부 및 인도 주행 여부, 경사로 주행 여부를 판단해 낼 수 있었다. 이 기술은 기존의 영상기반 기록장치보다 약 1600배 이상의 주행 정보 저장 효율을 달성할 수 있었다.
