  • In this paper, we implemented smart mirrors that virtually select and experience eyeglasses and hair styles on user faces through face recognition and recommend weather-specific clothes to guide various styles. In addition, makeup is possible while watching the video while looking at the screen. Raspberry Pi, acrylic plate and half mirror film were used to reduce the cost of conventional smart mirrors. It also added basic information such as weather, dates, calendars, and news, and increased user convenience by using a touchscreen.

  • A digital signage is constructed using a speech recognition based API, and VRSM (Voice Recognition Smart Mirror) that obtains information such as weather, map, exercise information, schedule, and image by user's voice command so as to be different from other commercialized products is proposed. This course provides an effective method of engineering education through the process of being evaluated as the result of independent graduation certification system, and also it had been the opportunity to design and produce works for 3 semesters by 2 students one group in the majors. Through the comprehensive capstone design, it has experienced engineering approach and creative thinking opportunity. We have won the best academic prize by participating in the academic conferences of the institute about the interim result, and obtained the results of the prize contest in other academic conferences. The improvement in practical skills obtained through this process proved to be beneficial for self-confidence and job-seeking opportunities through actual employment.

  • As the desire for healthcare increases due to the ageing population and the well-being boom, interest in fitness is increasing. People go to the fitness center to exercise, but many people do not know how to exercise, so they often make the order of exercise and the exercise posture wrong. This not only reduces the effectiveness of the exercise, but also increases the risk of injury. This paper describes the development process of fitness system using smart mirror. This system allows people to follow the motion by themselves in front of the smart mirror, and if the exercise posture goes wrong, in real time it checks and corrects for the wrong point. By using this system, people will be able to exercise by themselves in the right posture without the help of a trainer. Also, as a result, people will be able to exercise at any time they want without the constraint of time commitment with a trainer and the cost will be reduced.

  • Recently, as the wide spread of smart phone, pico projector which is used at the smart phone is appeared as a portable display device. In this paper, among several pico projectors, laser beam scanner module is dealt with in which laser is used as light source, and mems-mirror is used as optical panel. In this device, screen image quality is a special issue, and blur effect is a typical adverse effect to the quality of this device. So the enhancement of this blur effect has an important factor of the quality of the device. The definition of the blur and the main source of the blur are studied and the simulation results and way of improvement are also suggested.

  • The paper proposes a smart mirror system that recommends fragrances based on user emotion analysis. This paper combines natural language processing techniques such as embedding techniques (CounterVectorizer and TF-IDF) and machine learning classification models (DecisionTree, SVM, RandomForest, SGD Classifier) to build a model and compares the results. After the comparison, the paper constructs a personal emotion-based fragrance recommendation mirror model based on the SVM and word embedding pipeline-based emotion classifier model with the highest performance. The proposed system implements a personalized fragrance recommendation mirror based on emotion analysis, providing web services using the Flask web framework. This paper uses the Google Speech Cloud API to recognize users' voices and use speech-to-text (STT) to convert voice-transcribed text data. The proposed system provides users with information about weather, humidity, location, quotes, time, and schedule management.

  • Although the mirror has been used for a long time primarily for personal purposes, such as adornment by reflecting feature of mirror, it can also be used to expand from its legacy function to safety and lots of unpredictable applications. However, the mirror can be used as an information or investigation base, it is subject to human beings in the private region, objects and private purpose in the public and industrial fields. This paper suggests the wide usage of mirror equipped with smart technology, considering current Korea domestic regulation by law.

  • Since the analog circuit of the beta ray sensor circuit for the true random number generator and the power and ground line used in the comparator circuit are shared with each other, the power generated by the digital switching of the comparator circuit and the voltage drop at the ground line was the cause of the decreasein the output signal voltage drop at the analog circuit including CSA (Charge Sensitive Amplifier). Therefore, in this paper, the output signal voltage of the analog circuit including the CSAcircuit is reduced by separating the power and ground line used in the comparator circuit, which is the source of digital switching noise, from the power and ground line of the analog circuit. In addition, in the voltage-to-voltage converter circuit that converts VREF (=1.195V) voltage to VREF_VCOM and VREF_VTHR voltage, there was a problem that the VREF_VCOM and VREF_VTHR voltages decrease because the driving current flowing through each current mirror varies due to channel length modulation effect at a high voltage VDD of 5.5V when the drain voltage of the PMOS current mirror is different when driving the IREF through the PMOS current mirror. Therefore, in this paper, since the PMOS diode is added to the PMOS current mirror of the voltage-to-voltage converter circuit, the voltages of VREF_VCOM and VREF_VTHR do not go down at a high voltage of 5.5V.

  • The optical design of the Linear-Astigmatism-Free Three-Mirror-System (LAF-TMS) for KASI-Deep Rolling Imaging Fast-optics Telescope(K-DRIFT) is presented. LAF-TMS is an all-reflective imaging system consists of three freeform mirrors. Due to its well-corrected aberrations and obstruction-free clear aperture, the LAF-TMS provides a wide field of view with very low scattered lights.

  • 본 논문은 라즈베리파이(Raspberry Pi)와 각종 센서 위치 정보를 관련된 정보를 거울에 출력해주는 스마트 미러(Smart Mirror)를 제안한다. 스마트 미러는 온도 습도 등의 다양한 센서를 통해 사용자 주변 환경과 외부 환경을 결합하여 사용자에게 풍부한 정보를 제공할 수 있다. 다양한 센서와 구글 클라우드 스피치 오픈 API를 이용하여 위치 정보를 기반으로 날씨와 일정 및 음성 인식을 통해 인식된 명령에 따라 원하는 정보를 보여주는 스마트 미러를 구현하였다.
