노인의 스마트기기 활용이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 : 자아존중감의 매개효과를 중심으로 (The Effect of the Use of Smart Devices by the Elderly on Life Satisfaction : Focusing on the Mediating Effects of Self-esteem)

  • 본 연구는 노인의 스마트기기 활용 능력이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향에 있어 자아존중감의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 2021년 정보통신정책연구원에서 실시한 한국미디어 패널조사를 활용하여 2차 자료분석 실시했으며, 본 연구의 대상인 60대 이상 3,211명의 응답을 분석하였다. 분석은 SPSS를 활용하여 기술통계, 상관관계, 다중회귀분석을 실시하고, 매개효과 검증을 위해 Sobel test를 진행하였다. 그 결과 스마트기기 활용은 5점 만점 중 평균 2.13점으로 실제 활용 수준은 절반에 못 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 독립변수인 스마트기기 활용은 종속변수인 삶의 만족도에 정적인 영향을 미치고 있었으며, 매개변수인 자아존중감은 스마트기기 활용이 삶의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 데 있어 부분 매개효과가 검증되었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 한국 노인들의 스마트기기 활용율을 높이고, 자아존중감과 삶의 만족도를 향상시켜 행복한 노년을 보낼 수 있는 다양한 정책적, 실천적 방안을 제시하였다.

A Study on Development of Quality Standards of Educational Smart Contents

  • With advances in smart and ICT(information and communication technology) technologies, our life style has been changing dramatically. Now everybody can enjoy the benefits of such technologies in every aspect of his/her daily life. Currently more and more people are trying to have smart devices such as smart phones and tablet PCs so that smart devices become the bare necessities. New smart technologies have created a new concept called smart learning in education area. As educational smart contents become popular, we need quality standards for the contents. Those standards are essential for evaluating the smart contents and suggesting guidance for future smart contents production. Although there are some standards for the existing e-learning environments, to our best knowledge, there are no standards for educational smart contents in the literature. The purpose of this paper is to develop quality standards for educational smart contents. The proposed quality standards are based on the existing quality standards in e-learning environments and include some characteristics of smart learning. For development of quality standards, wide experts group from academy and industry are selected and surveyed. Their responses are analyzed based on thorough statistical analysis so that final quality standards for educational smart contents are developed.

웨어러블 기반의 스마트 모자를 이용한 생활기상지수 모니터링 시스템 (Life Weather Index Monitoring System using Wearable based Smart Cap)

  • 스마트 의류가 고객 중심으로 다변화 되어가는 생활환경 속에서 날씨정보를 제공하는 것은 서비스 전략의 중요한 성공요소가 되고 있다. 최근에는 스마트 의류의 다양한 어플리케이션이 연구자와 개발자에 의해 제시되고 있다. 그 중 센서 기반의 스마트 의류는 시장에서 가장 수요가 높을 것으로 기대된다. 본 논문에서는 웨어러블 기반의 스마트 모자를 이용한 생활기상지수 모니터링 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 스마트 모자를 착용하여, 기상상태를 수집하고 신호를 UMPC로 무선 전송되어 이를 실시간으로 모니터링 할 수 있도록 고안하였다. 센서에 따른 생활기상지수를 제공하기 위해서, 기상지수를 6가지 요소(열지수, 식중독지수, 불쾌지수, 자외선지수, 체감온도지수, 동파가능지수)에 따라 분석하였다. 생활기상지수 모니터링 시스템을 개발하여 논리적 타당성과 유효성을 검증하기 위해 실험적인 적용을 시도하고자 한다. 따라서 스마트 의류에서 서비스의 만족도와 질을 향상시켰다.

개인, 기업, 사회적 지원 관점에서 스마트워크 효용 탐색 (Exploration of Smart Work Benefits from the Perspectives of Individual, Firm, and Social Support)

  • In this paper, we attempted to theorize the multi-faceted impacts of smart work on economic activities. In this vein, we adopted socio-economic perspective which includes individual, firm, and social support aspects, and explored the variables related to the quality of life among them. First, smart work patterns are categorized as telework, mobile office, teleconferencing, and social collaboration. And relevant variables are extracted with reference to industrial cases and relevant literatures which investigated economic impacts of digital convergence. Next, with the data collected from experts, following delphi method, validation of variables and explorations of significant factors affecting quality of life were conducted by adopting stepwise regression method. The distinguishing traits of this research are two-folds. The one is the investigation of social support and quality of life aspects of smart work, which has been relatively limited in the digital convergence research field. The other is the comparative analysis of smart work advantages by distinguishing individual and firm aspects separately. The result offers useful insights for socio-economic perspective researches on digital convergence application area.

중국의 주거지원 서비스에 대한 실태조사 및 방향성 - 중국 낙양시 거주 노인들을 중심으로 - (Proposing a Direction for Smart Housing Services Supporting the Elderly in China - Focused on the Elderly' Living Conditions in Luoyang Prefecture-level City -)

  • China has already entered the aging society and is predicted to become a super-aged society in 2020. The recent studies identified that the elderly has more interest in 'Aging-in-Place' which emphasizes deinstitutionalization since welfare facilities such as care homes and silver towns have separated the elderly from their local communities where they used to live in. The aim of this research is to propose a promising way for smart housing services who support the elderly's living in their homes, China. This research is to investigate the elderly's life and to identify their demands on housings for implementing such smart services. The elderly's living in apartments in Luoyang city, China, were investigated through interviews using a questionnaire survey. The results show that smart housing services should be provided to support the elderly's health, safety, leisure activities, comfortable living, and social relationships sustainably. In addition, such smart housing services should be intuitive since the elderly need to use easily smart services for their autonomous life in their homes. The smart housing services should be developed in the direction of enhancing the elderly's healthy and desirable life, and lessening their discomforts due to aging.

  • With the advances of information technologies, the interest in SmartWork including extended version of telework and flexible work are increasing, and various types of SmartWork attempted to make working time and place flexible with the goal of work and life balance. Despite its emphasis on work and life balance, SmartWork is expected to make the boundaries between work and nonwork blur and role conflicts occur more than before, and thus the goal of work and life balance becomes more distant. A number of SmartWork users are significantly increasing in Korea, but little is known concerning the antecedents and mechanisms to explain psychological work and interferences in the SmartWork environment. In this paper, using boundary theory, we empirically investigate factors affecting the interferences at both work and nonwork domains. The results, based on data collected from SmartWork users in one of the biggest telecommunication companies in Korea where SmartWork is adopted and extensively used, suggest the factors may be affecting differently interferences at the work and nonwork domains.

An Optimal Energy Storage Operation Scheduling Algorithm for a Smart Home Considering Life Cost of Energy Storage System

  • This paper presents an optimal operation scheduling algorithm for a smart home with energy storage system, electric vehicle and distributed generation. The proposed algorithm provides the optimal charge and discharge schedule of the EV and the ESS. In minimizing the electricity costs of the smart home, it considers not only the cost of energy purchase from the grid but also the life cost of batteries. The life costs of batteries are calculated based on the relation between the depth of discharge and life time of battery. As the life time of battery depends on the charge and discharge pattern, optimal charge and discharge schedule should consider the life cost of batteries especially when there is more than one battery with different technical characteristics. The proposed algorithm can also be used for optimal selection of size and type of battery for a smart home.

스마트 TV 생활 알리미 서비스 시스템 설계 (Design of a Smart TV Service System for Daily Life Notification)

  • With the advance of Smart TV technologies, TV watchers can enjoy the Internet and games while watching TV programs. Besides retrieving with some keywords in the Internet, people may want to access local information such as notifications from town, messages from children's schools, shopping information from local marts, and even reminder messages for visiting from hospitals while watching TV without using web-browser. In this paper, we introduce the daily life notification service scenarios and its functional and non-functional requirements. Furthermore, we also propose a system that provides the notification services, consists of smart TV apps and server systems. We also introduce the system architecture and the component design of the system. Our work will help smart TV service developers because this paper will give them some service scenarios, requirements, and system architecture and its component design.

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트폰, 스마트 TV와 PC를 이용하여 사용자에게 보다 편리한 서비스를 제공하기 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 편리한 서비스를 제공하기 위해 스마트 폰, 스마트 TV와 PC 간의 상호 연동을 위한 플랫폼을 설계하고 이를 소프트웨어로 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 개발한 스마트 폰 어플리케이션은 스마트 TV와 무선 통신하여 스마트 TV 채널과 음량등을 제어하고 사용자 인증 서비스를 제공한다. PC는 스마트 폰에 저장되어 있는 사용자 정보를 이용하여 원격 부팅과 원격 로그인 서비스를 제공한다. 본 논문에서 설계하고 구현한 소프트웨어 플랫폼이 가까운 미래의 스마트 생활에서 다양한 스마트 기기간의 상호 연동 소프트웨어 플랫폼 개발에 초석이 되길 바란다.
