  • The concept of sustainability in residential area is closely related to the notion of amenity, livability, health and interchangeably used with the terms of urban growth management, urban regeneration, new urbanism, urban village movement, compact development, smart growth and the quality of residential environment. Residential Performance Management System (RPMS This system is developed granted by 'Korea Institute of Construction & Transportation Technology Evaluation and Planning' (KICTEP) during 2005-2008.)is a kind of decision making supportive program developed for the evaluation and assessment of various urban performances. It can be utilized for various purposes by many of urban related expert like planner, manager, etc. This study investigate the schematic model for the applying the indicators of quality of residential environment developed by SDI (Seoul Development Institute) using RPMS.

  • This paper reports on a single-inductor multiple-output step-up converter with digital control. A systematic analog-to-digital-controller design is explained. The number of digital blocks in the feedback path of the proposed converter has been decreased. The simpler digital pulse-width modulation (DPWM) architecture is then utilized to reduce the power consumption. This architecture has several advantages because counters and a complex digital design are not required. An initially designed unit-delay cell is adopted recursively for the construction of coarse, intermediate, and fine delay blocks. A digital limiter is then designed to allow only useful code for the DPWM. The input voltage is 1.8 V, whereas output voltages are 2 V and 2.2 V. A co-simulation was also conducted utilizing PowerSim and Matlab/Simulink, whereby the 55 nm process was employed in the experimental results to evaluate the performance of the architecture.

  • LoRa LPWAN network system uses a license-exempt wireless communication system and implements data measurement through the integrated sensor based on Mems and wireless communication of existing measurement sensors. This system has superior technological / economic superiority using existing network and long distance communication compared to existing wireless measurement system, and secured economical efficiency by minimizing system construction equipment compared to wired measurement system. It is confirmed that the economical efficiency can be reduced by 41% compared to the conventional wired metering system. Since the LoRa LPWAN network system is excellent in terms of maintenance and operation, if installed in many bridges in Korea in the future, it will be developed as an excellent system in the maintenance of bridges.   • We need measures that can come up with alternative about fishery living zone and enhance local acceptance for responding to the increase in the proportion of renewable energy production and construction of 12GW Offshore wind power according to Korea's Renewable Energy 3020 initiative and Korean-version New Deal. In this study, We suggest that differentiation plans of co-location model in connection with offshore wind power generation suitable for the East Sea. The East Sea is an optimal site for building of a floating offshore wind power generation(FOWPG) field. It is expected that economic effects like energy production, aquatic resource development and tourism industrialization by farming bluefin tuna which is high valued fish and suitable for offshore aquaculture on public waters in FOWPG field. And we can confirm that budget reduction, smart management by sharing operation management technology and increase in fishermen income.

  • Driving on irregular and inclined roads using agricultural machinery such as spraying machines or trucks in orchards causes farmer casualties associated with the overturning of agricultural machinery. In addition, the harm to agricultural workers caused by the excessive inhalation of the scattered pesticide frequently occurs during pest control processes. To address these problems, we introduced precision agricultural technology that could selectively spray pesticides only where the fruit is present by recognizing the presence or shape of the fruit in the orchard. In this paper, a 16-channel LIDAR (VLP-16) made of Velodyne was used to identify the shape of fruit trees. Solenoid valves were attached to the end parts of 12 nozzles of the orchard spraying machine for on/off control. The smart spraying machine implemented in this way was mounted on a vehicle capable of autonomous travel and performed selective control depending upon the shape of the fruit trees while traveling in the orchards. This is expected to significantly reduce the amounts of pesticides used in orchards and production costs.

  • Artificial intelligence is being applied in various industrial fields to the development of the fourth industry and the construction of high-performance computing environments. In the medical field, deep learning learning such as cancer, COVID-19, and bone age measurement was performed using medical images such as X-Ray, MRI, and PET and clinical data. In addition, ICT medical fusion technology is being researched by applying smart medical devices, IoT devices and deep learning algorithms. Among these techniques, medical image-based deep learning learning requires accurate finding of medical image biomarkers, minimal loss rate and high accuracy. Therefore, in this paper, we would like to compare and analyze the performance of the Cross-Entropy function used in the image classification algorithm of the loss function that derives the loss rate in the chest X-Ray image-based deep learning learning process.

  • The number of freeway traffic accidents in Korea is about 4,000 as of 2020, and deaths per traffic accident is about 3.7 times higher than other roads due to non-recurring congestion and high driving speed. Most of the accident types on freeways are side and rear-end collisions, and one of the main factors is hazard traffic flow caused by merge, diverge and accidents. Therefore, the hazard traffic flow, which appears in a continuous flow such as a freeway, can be said to be important information for the driver to prevent accidents. This study tried to classify hazard traffic flows, such as the speed change point and the section where the speed difference by lane, using individual vehicle information. The homogeneous segment of speed was classified using spatial separation based on geohash and space mean speed that can indicate the speed difference of individual vehicles within the same section and the speed deviation between vehicles. As a result, I could extract the diverging influence segment and the hazard traffic flow segment that can provide dangerous segments information of freeways.

  • Purpose: Sequence control is widely used by being applied to manufacturing, distribution, construction, and automation in the medical industry. With the development of the fourth industry, artificial intelligence convergence technology in the control field is becoming an important factor in the industry. In particular, it is required to evaluate the safety and innovation of facilities where microprocessors and artificial intelligence are fused to existing systems and develop reliable equipment, so it is intended to develop equipment for educational purposes and drive the development of the field. Method: The self-developed all-in-one artificial intelligence controller module is a device that combines artificial intelligence capabilities with existing sequence and PLC control circuits. As the performance evaluation items of this equipment, the recognition ability of motion, voice, text, color, etc. and the stability and reliability of the circuit were evaluated. Conclusion: After designing the sequence and PLC circuit, the performance evaluation items of the integrated integrated artificial intelligence controller module were all satisfied, and there was no problem in the safety and reliability of the circuit.

  • Mobile office is becoming common as advances in mobile devices such as PDAs, Smart-phones, or wireless Internet. In this paper, we construct a mobile office environment on a geotechnical information system(GIS). Especially, web services and XML technology combined with SOA (service oriented services) are adopted for various types of mobile devices and services in a minimum cost. Web service and XML can provide an excellent SW reusability, extensibility, and interoperability even for heterogeneous distributed systems. Applications can exploit web services by just knowing server's address. Prototype system integrates a client in Visual Basic.Net and server in Java via the web services and XML data exchange. We verify effectiveness of the approach through the implementation of prototype system.

Analysis of Engine Load Factor for Agricultural Cultivator during Plow and Rotary Tillage Operation (플라우 및 로터리 작업 시 농업용 관리기의 엔진 부하율 분석)

  • The aim of this study was to measure and analyze engine load factor (LF) according to working conditions (operation type and gear stage) of small agricultural multi-purpose cultivator to estimate the emission of air pollutants. To calculate LF, a torque sensor capable of collecting torque and rotational speed was installed on the engine output shaft and DAQ was used to collect data. A field test was conducted with major operation of a cultivator and tillage operations (plow tillage and rotary tillage). Engine power was calculated using engine torque and rotational speed and LF was calculated using real-time power and rated power. In addition, unified LF was calculated using the weight for each operation and the average LF for each operation. As a result, average LF values at 1.87 and 3.10 km/h by plow tillage were 0.50 and 0.69, respectively. Average LF values at 1.87 and 3.10 km/h by rotary tillage were 0.70 and 0.78, respectively. Furthermore, unified LF calculated in consideration of the weight factor showed a value of 0.65, which was 135% higher than the conventional LF (0.48). Results of this study could be used as basic information for realizing LF values in the field of agricultural machinery.
