Sewing-enabled electric button for smart fabric

  • A new button-shaped electrical device was developed for a smart fabric. This electric button can be sewn anywhere on the garment, similar to a traditional button fastener. t not only performs a decorative function but also makes the fabric suitable for use in Internet of Things (IoT) applications. It has metallic through-holes such that it can be fastened onto a fabric by conductive sewing threads. When threaded through metallic holes, the button can communicate with the external device by transmitting and receiving data. In addition, it adds specific functions by stacking a detachable application layer on the base layer. It is robust to frequent washing, and thus has excellent repeatability for use as an IoT device. The feasibility of the electric button was successfully demonstrated by its ability to identify the physical activities of walking and running, monitoring ambient temperature, and turning on LED lights.

  • In this study, we developed a "Korean-style button mushroom cultivation Compost post-fermentation system." The purpose is to increase farm income by reducing the labor force of button mushrooms farmers and shortening the production cycle. The "Korean-style button mushroom cultivation Compost post-fermentation system" was designed to reflect the reality of domestic button mushroom farmers. By reducing the temperature difference of the fermentation Compost in the fermentation system, the company produces a button mushroom Compost that ensures uniform quality. As a result of the performance experiment, the working time of the Compost post-fermentation system was shortened by 40 hours. The number of aerobic bacteria and actinomyces that help the button mushrooms Compost increased. Filamentous bacteria that deteriorate the quality of mushrooms have been sterilized.

A Design and Implementation of Control Application for Arduino Prime Smart Car

  • In this paper, we design and implement an Application based on android platform, which can control arduino Prime Smart Car using Bluetooth communication. This Application consist of Bluetooth communication module, manual mode module, and line-tracer mode module. In the Bluetooth communication module, it checks the on/off status of Smartphone Bluetooth. If Bluetooth status is off, it activates Bluetooth, selects the corresponding device from Bluetooth device list, and connects with a pair. In order to reduce coding time, we implements Bluetooth communication using inherited class from android Bluetooth package. In the manual mode module, it implements six direction moving button and stop button, which can control arduino Prime Smart Car. In the line-tracer mode module, it implements Prime Smart Car with self-driving function using TCRT5000 sensor. And moving button and stop button is disabled.

  • Everything has been simplified and abbreviated. The stream of times can be found through the smart phones since the ubiquitous world has be mentioned by Mark Webber. Judging by the flow of times, it's easy to predict that it will be more developed in the future. There are several ways of the development and one of them is to click a button in everything. For this study, the MaKey of MIT MELIALAB shows the possibility. As applying the study of clicking a button in everything, this paper proposes the Smart Lighting Control System using the u-Button. For the actual implementation, u-Button Module with MICAz and various sensors, Actuator Node composed of ZigBeX and LED Module are produced.

  • In these days, the smart devices are being developed and used repeatedly. But almost E-learning System did not provide these smart devices environment and user's E-learning space is changing from Single-screen environment to multi-Screen environment. Accordingly we configure smart E-learning space based on multi-screen and integrate the multi-media contents for the Smart E-learning service. We present the synchronization techniques to make the multi-screen environment for smart space with Timed Link and design the Timed Button to relate each Screen which is using multi-media e-learning contents.

  • The controversy about the burger button triggered in 2013 is that it is difficult to know what the hamburger button itself means and that it is difficult to predict what will happen when the button is clicked, Could. This controversy was found to be fundamentally out of touch, and it could be seen that it caused conflict with Apple's navigation structure with iOS. Therefore, in the case of Apple, it is often used in the form of a tab at the bottom instead of using the slide menu, but it is preferable to be used for the purpose of the hamburger button. I've looked through a variety of documents and found that the amount of content you want to offer on your app or the web is large, and there are five or more categories. And if a sub-category needs to exist in the main category like a large shopping mall, the hamburger button could provide the best UI. Apps and webs that can be curated, such as news and pinterest, are better used to enhance the search filter than to place a hamburger button, and for apps or the web that has a longer amount of content on a page Scrolling was available as an alternative to the burger button. In other words, depending on the amount of content to be provided, it is possible to decide whether to use the hamburger menu from the time of designing the information architecture.

  • In this study, we study the system to remotely transmit musical score based on Internet of Things(IoT). When musicians play music, they occasionally use the instrument and the musical score at the same time. At this time, the degree of immersion in music is reduced. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes automatic sheet page turning system based on Internet of Things(IoT). The system can be remotely adjusted using the foot without using the hand. The system consists of a Wireless Smart Button equipped with Bluetooth and an application capable of operating the Wireless Smart Button. The Wireless Smart Button used Arduino based open source. We designed an application(App) to utilize it and proposed an intuitive UI.

OverIT: An Interactive Overlay for Touchscreen-based UI Customization by Demonstration

  • Smartphones have been widely used for various purposes and stay connected with people at all times. However, the use of such touchscreen devices can be physically restricted depending on users' context where only one hand is available to interact with the device. Even major smartphone manufacturers (e.g., Apple, Samsung) offer one handed mode, they still lack functions in the third-party applications, and the process is also complicated. We propose OverIT, a system that enables users to customize interfaces by adding new buttons on an interactive overlay which can be positioned anywhere on the touchscreen where each button serves the same functionality as an existing one. It is designed to support users to map a certain button event freely and easily to a newly created button by performing a demonstration of a button tap. We expect our system to improve the overall user experience of one-handed interaction with touchscreen devices.

A Study on Clothing Design Preference and Purchase associated with Gender of the Aging (노인의 성에 따른 의복 디자인 선호 및 구매에 관한 연구)

  • The objectives of this study were to examine how clothing design preference and clothing attitude vary according to gender of the aging. Using the data collected through interview with 200 subjects who were 60years of age and older residing at Kunsan city area in Korea. These data were analyzed by frequency and $\chi$$^2$-test. The tendency of the gender on jacket stymie preference showed that men liked the soutien collar jacket, two button sing1e Jacket, and four button double jacket, women liked two button single jacket, three button single Jacket and four button double jacket. The general preference did allot depend on the practical purchasing. Men preferred more the soutien collar jacket than the women. On the shirts pattern preference, men liked thick horizon and plaid pattern, while the women liked polk dots pattern and small flowered one. The practical clothing purchase was done by themselves directly. The important criteria depended on the appearance style like simple and smart. For the main complaining factor to purchase the clothes, men considered the color, and women complained not to have suitable shopping stores. The most of all complaining was the expensive prices.

N-gram based Language Model for the QWERTY Keyboard Input Errors in a Touch Screen Environment (터치스크린 환경에서 쿼티 자판 오타 교정을 위한 n-gram 언어 모델)

  • With the increasing use of touch-enabled mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet PCs, the works are done on desktop computers and smartphones, and tablet PCs perform laptops. However, due to the nature of smart devices that require portability, QWERTY keyboard is densely arranged in a small screen. This is the cause of different typographical errors when using the mechanical QWERTY keyboard. Unlike the mechanical QWERTY keyboard, which has enough space for each button, QWERTY keyboard on the touch screen often has a small area assigned to each button, so that it is often the case that the surrounding buttons are input rather than the button the user intends to press. In this paper, we propose a method to automatically correct the input errors of the QWERTY keyboard in the touch screen environment by using the n-gram language model using the word unigram and the bigram probability.
