Transportation systems around the world are difficult to maintain sustainability that, in a broad sense, is the capacity to endure. By connecting Entropy theory and systems thinking, we find the current problems and seek alternative plans. Distortions of the current transportation system to improve individual's ease and increasing traffic congestion, impose us the heavy energy consumption and will make increase whole entropy. UNEP reports are presented following three reasons that undermine the sustainabillity. The first one is that the prevalent traffic system highlight benefits of accessibility than benefits of mobility, the second, deteriorate excessive energy consumption, and the last reason is that personal vehicles has inhibited the use of public transportation. Alternative ideas to enhance the sustainable transportation system are these; (1) changeover from 'Ease of movement' to 'space efficiency', (2) evolving the smart traffic system instead of the construction or expansion of the road and (3) creating more comfortable the use of mass transportation. In addition, there are another ways that encouraging modal shift that increase traffic of goods, transport over railway lines and waterways, decongesting transport corridors and elevating technology to improve public transportation. The most importantly, we converse our cognitive process to be willing to enjoy uncomfortable and annoying life.

With the emergence of the words Personal Mobility (P.M.) or Smart Mobility (S.M.), which are terms for personal transportation, the activities of related technologies are increasing with the research. Personal transportation is basically used as a short distance transportation method using electrical energy. As personal mobility became more popular, the resulting products and studies are spreading throughout the country. Most of the electric scooters, which are personal vehicles, are mostly imported from China. This is due to the fact that the price competitiveness of major components of electric scooters is owned in China. At this point, the domestic research direction is considered to be desirable in terms of composition and design of the electric scooter body. In this study, the models of portable electric scooters according to the number of wheels mounted on portable electric scooters were presented and the prototypes were produced accordingly. The number of wheels applied to the electric scooter was 2 and 3 and 4; the contents and advantages and disadvantages of the proposed portable electric scooter models were reviewed.
This paper addresses prospect of the technology for development of NxTIS (NeXt generation Transport Information System) that is targeted to shifting Korean public transit framework to railway-centered one. The Seoul metropolitan area has adopted the smart-card as a payment system for the public transportation since 2004. The transportation record can be used as quite useful information for better planning and operating of the railway system, particularly when the smart-card based payment system is extended to whole nation. This paper introduces technologies to develop Real OD DB and NxTIS, and presents road-map for them. A variety of benefits from the development of the system are estimated both in quantitative and qualitative. The Real OD DB based NxTIS will work to highly prospective for creating a novel value in the railway as a public transportation system.
With the recent expansion of electric kickboards and bicycle sharing services, more and more people use them. In addition, the rapid growth of the delivery business due to the COVID-19 has significantly increased the use of two-wheeled vehicles and personal mobility. As the accident rate increases, the rule related to the two-wheeled vehicles is changed to 'mandatory helmets for kickboards and single-person transportation' and was revised to prevent boarding itself without driver's license. In this paper, we propose a wearable smart safety equipment, called SafetyHelmet, that can keep helmet-wearing duty and lower the accident rate with the communication between helmets and mobile devices. To make this function available, we propose a safe driving assistance function by notifying the driver when an object that interferes with driving such as persons or other vehicles are detected by applying the YOLO v5 object detection algorithm. Therefore it is intended to provide a safer driving assistance by reducing the failure rate to identify dangers while driving single-person transportation.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the policy implications of establishing a compact city in Seoul, analyzing whether it is an appropriate and efficient eco-friendly housing supply alternative. Research design, data, and methodology: The analysis criteria include efficiency, safety, and comfort, with efficiency encompassing economic, energy, and public transport links' efficiency. Safety and comfort are aspects of eco-friendliness, housing safety, and improvement in living environments. Results: In terms of economic efficiency, compact cities are a less expensive option than purchasing land for housing construction. To increase energy efficiency, we plan to adopt eco-friendly energy sources. Transportation efficiency is high in locations near public transport stations. To enhance safety and comfort, we intend to create large-scale parks and forests in Seoul. To ensure residential safety, measures will be taken to reduce road vibration, vehicle noise, and scattering dust. Conclusions: Selecting an appropriate location that provides convenient public transportation is essential for creating a compact city for housing in a large city. Combining a compact and smart city is necessary, and implementing smart technologies is needed to prevent dust, noise, and vibrations, which are undesirable in a residential environment.
