Unprecedented attention is being given to Smart Grid, Micro Grid and Internet of Things (IoT) in the Republic of Korea recently but such systems' effect is not well experienced by the market since they require additional and costly reforms for the existing household electrical system where adaptive communication platforms are needed. As such platforms, both wireless and wire communication technologies are being considered at the moment. Usually, they include WiFi, Zigbee technologies and the latter, LAN technology. However, communication speed decline due to signal attenuation and interference during wireless communications are considered to be the major problem and the extra works involving time and costs for the LAN system construction can be another demerit. Therefore, in this paper, we have introduced a Power Line Communication-based Smart Outlet System Expandable at Home to complement these disadvantages. Proposed IoT system involves Power Line Communication (PLC) technology which is essential to constructing a Smart Grid.
The rapid development of information technology has accelerated the application of big data and the Internet of Things in various industries. Big data has a great potential in the development of smart tourism. With the help of innovation in emerging technologies such as big data and Internet of Things, smart tourism has a better possibility to surpass traditional tourism. Therefore, this article provides a theoretical support to this process. It has explored the innovative management model of big data and IoT in smart tourism and evaluate their effects on promoting tourism. It offers a reference for the integration and innovation of the tourism theory system. Before big data technology, the development of Internet boosted online tourism. However, tourism marketing is still inefficient due to a lack of understanding about tourists. After many practical explorations of big data technology, tourism websites begin to adopt big data technology in their daily operations. With the changes in tourists' preferences and needs, further innovation and research are needed to help smart tourism keep up with the changes in the market and create more competitive products and services. Innovation serves as the driving force for enterprises to occupy the market and develop.
Smart grid is widely considered to be a next generation power grid, which will be integrated with information feedback communications. However, smart grid communication technologies are subject to inefficient spectrum allocation problems. Cognitive radio networks can solve the problemof spectrumscarcity by opening the under-utilized licensed bands to secondary users. In this paper, adaptive cognitive radio spectrum sensing and sharing algorithms are developed for smart grid environments. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme in comparison with other existing schemes.

The Next-generation IT technology has been evolving from single technique to another which has merged, converging characteristics. The government categorized the 5 essential technologies to secure competitiveness in designing system semiconductors as smart motor vehicle info-tainment platform, smart TV multimedia system, smart phone analog interface technique, smart convergence digital communication and RF techniques, and advanced power management for smart devices. Also, it designated smart phone, smart TV, smart motor vehicle, and smart pad as the key industries. Such core techniques will become the key technologies of semiconductor design to secure the competitiveness of the next generation smart devices and the techniques can be transferred to fab-less design companies. In this contribution, we analyze the issues and the problems of the SoC design trends for smart motor vehicle info-tainment platforms.
Smart tourism technologies are becoming ever more pervasive and an increasing number of destinations and hospitality establishments are investing in smart tourism initiatives. However, while governments and businesses around the world are aggressively pushing the smart tourism agenda forward, smart tourism research initiatives are still in their infancy and seem to not fully cover the whole spectrum of smart tourism-related issues and questions. This paper conducts a systematic review of existing smart tourism literature to determine the status quo of smart tourism research and to identify research gaps. Considering the steep growth of smart tourism initiatives starting at the beginning of this decade, this paper reviews publications on smart tourism over the last 8 years. All publications for which the keyword "smart tourism" appears in the title, keywords or abstract were included in the sample.

We intend to improve the sustainability of rural villages by investigating the element technologies and platforms necessary for building smart villages. There are so many investment smart city platforms and solutions in many cities. but there are relatively few investments in rural or small cities. This situation can not only increase the urban problem due to the increase of population to the city, but also deepen the digital gap of citizens. So far, studies on smart village have been investigated in fragments. We will examine the cases applied to smart village as a whole and study the open smart village platform that analyzes the overall data storage and management of the village after the smart village was finally established. First, we will look at the overseas trends of smart village and second, we will study the smart village platform that efficiently manages smart village through the technology necessary for smart village.

In this study, we analyzed the teaching practices of science teachers using smart technologies and investigated their difficulties in implementing smart education and their educational needs. We also studied their opinions on the application of smart technologies in science education. The participants were seven science teachers who participated in the smart education study group of a science teacher association in Seoul. We elaborated on the characteristics of smart education in science education during comprehensive analyses of instructional materials used in science classes and the initial interviews. We then analyzed the second interviews by categorizing their responses inductively. All the science teachers used the 'instant access as needed', but their interactions, simply answering students' questions, were found to be at a low level. They did not effectively use the 'collaborative interaction with SNS or wiki-based service' for the support for interactive learning. While most collected learning results of their students and provided feedback in the aspect of 'individualization according to leaner level', they were not aware of 'context, situation, and location of learners' in smart education. While all the teachers extended learning opportunities by using learning resources widely in smart education, most were not aware of 'support for self-directed learning'. Most teachers believed that smart education should be developed to help students learn interactively and in a self-directed manner. They also provided many opinions on teacher training programs and environmental support for smart education. Based on the results, some considerations for implementing smart education in science instructions effectively are discussed.

In this paper, to improve the fast boot and soft real-time for the responsiveness in Qplus with relative evaluation rather than an absolute evaluation using validated to perform the services actually used. Qplus is included soft real-time, fast booting, and file system technology. There is a development board that mounted on an embedded Linux and Qplus. AV (Audio / Video) group communications is ported on the development board for soft real-time multimedia streaming services and to evaluate the performance of communication. We performed three major evaluation such as booting time measurement experiment, own performance measurement experiments for soft real-time measurement experiment, and performance measurement experiments for via the network communication performance evaluation. They are a practical Qplus performance evaluation and analysis.
As a way to solve the side effects of urban development, a smart city with information and communication technology converges in the city is being built. For this, a smart city platform should support the development and integration of smart city services. Therefore, the underlying technology and the functional and non-functional requirements that the smart platform must support were analyzed. As a result of this, we classified the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data and cyber-physical systems into four categories as the underlying technologies supported by the smart city platform, and derived the functional and non-functional requirements that can be implemented and the reference model of the smart city platform. The reference model of the smart city platform is used for decision-making on investment in infrastructure technology and the development scope of services according to functional or non-functional requirements to solve specific city problems for city managers. It provides platform developers with guidelines to identify and determine the functional and non-functional requirements and implementation technologies of software platforms for building smart cities.
