The Effects of Service Quality on Positive Emotion, Brand Affection, and Brand Loyalty in Restaurant Sector (외식기업의 서비스 품질이 긍정적 감정, 브랜드 애정, 그리고 브랜드 충성도에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: Service quality plays an important role in the credibility of consumer behavior as it enhances brand loyality in hospitality business. The objective of this study is to determine the effects of service quality, positive emotion, brand affection, and brand loyalty in restaurant sector by applying the S-O-R model. The study also introduces a new integrated structural model that combines service quality's dimensions of physical quality, interaction quality, and outcome quality. Research design, data, and methodology: This study was analyzed in a quantitative way using the survey results of 395 customers who had experience of visiting restaurants. All constructs were measured with multiple items developed and validated in prior studies. In this study, SmartPLS 4.0 was used to evaluate the research model. The reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity of the measurement tool were verified. Result: Result was found that service quality(physical quality, interaction quality, outcome quality) had a positive effect on positive emotion and brand affection. Also both of positive emotion and brand affection had a positive effect on brand loyalty. This study contributes to the service quality literature and has practical managerial implications.

A Study on the Key Factors in User Acceptance of the Smart Clothing (스마트웨어의 수용 요인에 대한 연구)

  • This paper predict user acceptance of smart clothing. The present research develops and validates new products for smart clothing. Studies suggest that further analysis of the process be undertaken to better establish properties for smart clothing, underlying structures and stability over innovative technologies. The findings reported in this paper should be useful methods which identify user needs. such findings in now provide a way to explain technology acceptance. Both of qualitative and quantitative methods, were applied to this study in order to find out user needs for smart clothing. We are writing scenarios and conducting both focused group interviews and a survey to assess the user's interest. The purpose of the survey is to evaluate the importance of the functions and to evaluate the degree of the participant's feeling and attitude. Furthermore, we explore the nature and specific influences of factors that may affect the user perception and usage.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a modular model of smart clothing which can integrate various digital devices in clothing, maintaining the inherent attribute of clothing. For achieving this purpose, several technological devices for the smart clothing for listening to music, bio-monitoring, and environment monitoring were developed, through multidisciplinary cooperation. As the result, total four design prototypes of smart sportswear(trekking wear, jogging wear) for the application of entertainment and health care were suggested.

  • Due to COVID-19, the importance of non-face-to-face counseling is increasing as the face-to-face counseling method has progressed to non-face-to-face counseling. The advantage of non-face-to-face counseling is that it can be consulted online anytime, anywhere and is safe from COVID-19. However, it is difficult to understand the client's mind because it is difficult to communicate with non-verbal expressions. Therefore, it is important to recognize emotions by accurately analyzing text and voice in order to understand the client's mind well during non-face-to-face counseling. Therefore, in this paper, text data is vectorized using FastText after separating consonants, and voice data is vectorized by extracting features using Log Mel Spectrogram and MFCC respectively. We propose a multi-emotion recognition model that recognizes five emotions using vectorized data using an LSTM model. Multi-emotion recognition is calculated using RMSE. As a result of the experiment, the RMSE of the proposed model was 0.2174, which was the lowest error compared to the model using text and voice data, respectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 MindWave와 AR 헤드셋 기기를 연동하여 자폐 스펙트럼 장애 아동이 불안감을 느낄 때 발산되는 뇌파 신호를 실시간으로 감지한다. 또한 실시간 객체 검출을 위한 YOLOv5 알고리즘을 통해 시각적 정보를 수집하여 해당 아동이 불안감을 느끼는 원인을 파악하고 이에 맞는 해결책을 AR 형태로 제시하며 자폐 스펙트럼 장애 아동이 불안감을 느끼면 보호자에게 알림을 전송하는 앱을 구현한다. 이를 통해 자폐 스펙트럼 장애 아동의 뇌파 안정과 정서 회복을 돕고 실생활에서 발생할 수 있는 돌발 상황을 방지할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다.

Analysis of Emotional Intelligence Affected by Medical Institution Members on Job Satisfaction and Self-Efficacy (의료기관 구성원이 직무만족도와 자기효능감에 느끼는 감성지능의 영향 분석)

  • In this study, we would like to confirm the impact of emotional intelligence perceived by members of medical institutions on job satisfaction and the mediating effect of self-efficacy. To test the hypothesis of the study, a survey was conducted on members of medical institutions (excluding doctors) in Gyeonggi Province, and statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS 22.0. First of all, the research results showed a positive impact only on use of emotion among the sub-factors of emotional intelligence in the impact relationship between emotional intelligence perceived by members on self-efficacy. Second, in the impact relationship of emotional intelligence on job satisfaction, which is a sub-factor of emotional intelligence, self-emotion appraisal, others' emotion appraisal, regulation of emotion, and use of emotion all showed positive effects. Third, the effect of members' self-efficacy on job satisfaction was also positive, and fourth, the mediating effect of self-efficacy between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction was also confirmed. Therefore, programs to improve members' emotional intelligence and self-efficacy are introduced and institutional needs are required.

  • Since the late 1990s, 'smart clothing' has been developed in a various way to meet the need of users and to help people more friendly interact with computers through its various designs. Recently, various applications of smart clothing concept have been presented by researchers. Among the various applications, smart clothing with a health care system is most likely to gain the highest demand rate in the market. Among them, smart clothing for check-up of health status with its sensors is expected to sell better than other types of smart clothing on the market. Under this circumstance, research and development for this field have been accelerated furthermore. This research institution has invented biometric sensors suitable for the smart clothing, and has developed a design to diagnose various diseases such as cardiac disorder and respiratory diseases. The newly developed smart clothing in this study looks similar to the previous inventions, but people can feel more comfortable in it with its fabric interaction built in it. When people wear it, the health status of the wearers is diagnosed and its signals are transmitted to the connected computer so the result can be easily monitored in real time. This smart clothing is a new kind of clothing as a supporting system for preventing various cardiac disorder and respiratory diseases using its biometric sensor built-in, and is also an archetype to show how smart clothing can work on the market.

Experimental Study on Living Room Lighting Environment for Residential Activities

  • This study performed a subjective evaluation of the Semantic Differential (SD) method for living room activities to evaluate the living room lighting environment and investigated the relationship between these through luminance distribution in the space. As a result, three factors-"lightness", "emotion" and "calmness"-have been grouped together. According to the analysis of experimental variables, difference has been observed depending on color temperature, the dimming of the ceiling & cove lights and the use of down lights and a bracket. 'Conversation with Family', 'Having Fun with Family', 'Entertaining Guests' and 'Reading a Book or Newspaper' requires "lightness". In terms of "emotion"-centered activities, 'Watching TV' is the highest, but all three factors are related. In terms of "calmness"-centered activities, 'Relaxing' is the highest.

  • This study aims to objectively and quantitatively determine the social emotion of empathy by collecting pupillary response. 52 subjects (26 men and 26 women) voluntarily participated in the experiment. After the measurement of the reference of 30 seconds, the experiment was divided into the task of imitation and spontaneously self-expression. The two subjects were interacted through facial expressions, and the pupil images were recorded. The pupil data was processed through binarization and circular edge detection algorithm, and outlier detection and removal technique was used to reject eye-blinking. The pupil size according to the empathy was confirmed for statistical significance with test of normality and independent sample t-test. Statistical analysis results, the pupil size was significantly different between empathy (M ± SD = 0.050 ± 1.817)) and non-empathy (M ± SD = 1.659 ± 1.514) condition (t(92) = -4.629, p = 0.000). The rule of empathy according to the pupil size was defined through discriminant analysis, and the rule was verified (Estimation accuracy: 75%) new 12 subjects (6 men and 6 women, mean age ± SD = 22.84 ± 1.57 years). The method proposed in this study is non-contact camera technology and is expected to be utilized in various virtual reality with smart glasses.

A Green LED Sensitivity Lighting System Using Smart Phone (스마트폰을 이용한 그린 LED 감성조명 시스템)

  • This paper introduces a novel concept of 'A Green LED Sensitivity Lighting System' which can automatically estimate QoS(quality of service) and emotional requirements of user using smart phone. And it can intelligently control ambient illumination lamp to conserve electric energy and to satisfy human sensitivity. The proposed system has 4 control modes; emotional lighting, smart lighting, green lighting and realistic lighting modes in order to comfort man's emotion, to maximize work efficiency, to save energy consumption and to make the entertainment more fun, respectively. When we choose green lighting mode for indoor office situations, an elaborate simulation shows that the proposed system with home network can reduce the energy by 50% compared to conventional light control system with a fixed time-based switching.
