Structural characteristics of industries were compared focusing on share, penetration, impact path and network clustering of smart industries. Research data used input-output tables established by Korea and Spain in 1995 and 2015, and industries were reclassified into 8 and 25 industries. The analysis model is the Smart SPIN Model. The key finding as follows: It was analyzed that there are differences in the structure and characteristics of the smart city industry between Korea and Spain. Firstly, It is analyzed that Korea has a larger share and penetration rate of IT manufacturing than Spain. On the other hands, Spain has a higher share and penetration rate in the IT service and knowledge service sectors than Korea. Secondly, Korea had many production paths for the IT service and the knowledge service. On the other hands, Spain included more production paths in the IT manufacturing sector. Thirdly, as a result of network analysis, Korea's smart industry has a characteristic that it is difficult to develop independently because it is dependent on traditional industries. In Spain, most of the smart industries were included in one industrial cluster, and it was analyzed to have an independent form. In conclusion, It was found that Korea has the industrial characteristics of a smart city based on IT manufacturing. Spain has the characteristics of smart city industry based on IT service and knowledge service. The results of this study are expected to provide basic data on the direction of smart city promotion and the establishment of smart city policies in Korea.

With the recent global urban issues such as climate change, urbanization, and energy problems, the smart city was proposed as one of the solutions in urban planning. This study introduces the smart city initiatives of South Korea by examining the recent history of smart city policies and their limitations. This case study reflects the experience of one of the countries which thrived to building smart cities as their national key industries to drive economic growth. It also analyzes the trends of the smart city using big data analysis techniques. Although there are obstacles such as economic recession, failing to differentiate from the U-city, low service level than expected smart functionality, We could recognize the current status of the smart city policies in South Korea such as 1) Korean smart city development projects are actively implemented, 2) public consensus suggests that applying advanced technology and the active role of government need, 3) a comprehensive and strategic approach with the integration and application of advanced technologies is required as well, 4) investment by both private and public sectors need to deliver social improvements. This study suggests future direction of smart city polity in South Korea in the conclusion.

This paper conducted a survey of residents and public officials for the projects to make smart-city plans of Geumsan-gun. In introduction, several domestic and foreign cases related to smart-city projects were Investigated. To initiate the smart-city project of Geumsan-gun, the local status of Geumsan-gun was investigated regarding various aspects of natural, social, urban environment and smart-city facilities. The results of this survey are as follows: Overall, more than half of survey respondents said they had satisfaction of their housing quality. Several problems in their residence areas, such as insufficient welfare systems, shortage of parking spaces, industrial infrastructure, were reported. Meanwhile, the survey result indicated that tourism and leisure facilities, health care support systems, industries promote the economy and job market of the area. An interview with public official is also important to select the relevant meaningful projects and regional issues. Three models for each spatial unit were proposed in Geumsan-gun based on the natural, agricultural, and geographical environment. In result, the three smart-city models are categorized as urban type(large area), complex city type(medium area), and smart village type(small area)
The technologies of information communication regions are progressing in rapidly. These technologies in today are used in various industry regions. We called it smart fusion. There are various regions such as smart car, smart green city, and smart TV, smart medical industries. Therefore, we described trends and future of smart green city in this paper.
With increasing interest and research on smart cities, there is also an increasing number of studies on urban facilities that can be built within smart cities. According to these studies, smart cities' urban facilities are likely to become high value-added industries. However, the concept of smart city is not clear because it involves various fields. Therefore, in this study, the definition of Next-Generation(N.G) Smart City Facilities with Digital Twin and Digital Chain is carried out through a multidisciplinary approach. Based on this, Next-Generation Smart City Facilities will be divided into High Value-Added Products and Big Data Platforms. Subsequently, the definition of the Digital Chain containing the data flow of the entire process built through the construction of the Digital Twin proceeds. The definitions derived are applied to the Next-Generation Noise Barrier Tunnel to ensure that data is exchanged at the Digital Twin stage, and to review the proposed configuration of the Digital Chain and Data Flow in this study. The platform definition and Digital Chain of Next-Generation Smart City Facilities proposed in this study suggest that it can affect not only the aspects of data management that are currently in the spotlight, but also the manufacturing industry as a whole.
Internet has been used by the unique space that users share various informations. Due to the development of Information communication technology(ICT), many devices were introduced. These devices are connected by Internet each other. The Internet of Things(IoT) use the Internet for the interconnection of the things. Studies for 'Internet of Things' progress extensively on today. Therefore, we studied the smart industries domain related with Internet of things. In this paper, three domains among the smart industries were described. These three domains such as smart city, smart home and smart health are related with our life. Therefore, we described many actual cases in three domains based on Internet of Things.
One of the key domains within a smart tourism city, smart mobility, encompasses advanced transportation means and services rooted in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). This includes shared bicycles, scooters, car-sharing services, smart transportation infrastructure, and more, aiming to surpass limitations of conventional transport and improve the movement of people and goods. It also serves tourists as an affordable and convenient mode of transport between attractions while also enhancing the overall travel experience. This study has defined 'smart tourism mobility' as a form of mobility grounded in ICT, exhibiting exceptional connectivity, serving public interest, and serving as a mode of transport for both residents and tourists in a smart tourism city. The research aimed to outline the scope of smart tourism mobility-related industries through expert Delphi surveys and estimate their economic effects within a smart tourism city. Specifically, this study updated 2015 input-output table and made 2020 regional input-output table of Seoul adopting RAS method and location quotient method. The results showed that the about 2.8 billion KRW investment of Seoul in smart tourism mobility may create more than 4.1 billion KRW in production inducement effect which is expected to create more than 1.6 billion KRW of income-inducing effect, 3.6 billion KRW of value-added-inducing effect, and 54 employment across all industries in Seoul in 2022.
With a population of more than 10 million people worldwide, MegaCity was only three in 1975, but it is expected to grow to 24 in 2013 and more than 30 in 2025 and more than 3 billion worldwide by 2050 It is expected to be absorbed into smart city. Especially in Asia and Africa, urbanization is expected to proceed rapidly. As the urbanization progresses and the population living in the cities increases, there are various problems such as rapid increase of energy consumption, congestion of traffic, various aging of the infrastructure and the like. As a result, smart city is emerging as a new alternative for solving urban problems. Smart City is rapidly expanding with the development of related technologies and can improve costs, improve urban services, improve quality of life, productivity and sustainability. Therefore, this paper analyzes the size and trend of the domestic and overseas smart city market, and analyzes the smart city related policies, trends and case studies of major countries to see the development status and market of smart city related industries, Present a business utilization model.
This study aims to investigate the urban regeneration policies in Japan especially focusing "New Town" regeneration. New Town projects were launched in major Japanese cities, aiming to form a designed urban housing area and a mass supply of quality housing, in order to solve the lack of housing and urban sprawl which became a serious issue due to the over-concentration of population and industries in the city during the period of rapid economic growth. Tama New Town and Kohoku New Town are well-known development projects in 1970s and 80s; They attract wide attention again as urban regeneration policies focusing on a Smart city as well as Private-Public Partnership.
