In this paper, as the culture industry rises as the new scale of the nation's competivity. it is moving from the national standard to regional standard, and the demands of the regions and People for the culture industry, also known as the entertainment industry, are increasing. Also, the study executed an empirical analysis on region리 approaches and efficiency of the approaches for the development of culture industry in Korea. The followings show the summarized results of the study. The culture is changed by the social and economical conditions, and the culture industry is changed by changes in culture consumers and introduction of cultural policies. Under the social conditions, the rise of mass culture in big cities appear as the influencive factors and the rise of mass culture in small ton also work as the influencive factors but the people of the small towns emphasize the culture lifestyles. The shows that the big cities emphasize the masses but on the other hand, the small towns emphasize the lifestyles. Under the economical conditions, the diversification of culture distributions, culture commercialization, and culture cluster show to be the influencive factors in the big cities. Even in the small towns, the diversification of culture distributions and culture commercialization work as the influencive factors but the culture cluster could not have any influences.

As the government encourages the replacement of small FRP ships with eco-friendly aluminum ships due to environmental pollution problems, interest and demand for small aluminum ships are increasing. It is known that the vibration and noise of aluminum ships are somewhat vulnerable than that of FRP ships. However, in the process of designing and manufacturing small aluminum fishing boats, vibration and noise are not reviewed. In this study, vibration analysis is performed on three existing aluminum fishing boats, and the vibration characteristics of small aluminum boats are identified. Through this study, we intend to contribute to improving the vibration quality of small aluminum ships.

Based on reviewing the literature and statistical year books on current projects that are targeting Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory, this paper aims to show concepts of Industry 4.0, and Smart Factory. Also it shows 5 projects for Industry 4.0 led by governments that worry over their low employment and productivity in main industrialized countries: Germany, China, Japan, the USA, and Korea. In addition it presents some problems which are very important but easy to be overlooked, especially on employment, and it makes three suggestions to solve employment problems. First, government should tax the profit which a company makes on reducing workers in spite of a high rate of profit through technology innovation. Second, to help small businesses to last longer, government should link major companies and small companies. Third, government, academic circles and the industrial world should take part in configuring consortia like American "Industry talent Consortium" to cultivate IT Talent.

The purposes of this research were: 1) to analyze the confirmatory factors with the business operational model of entrepreneurs of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the textile and clothing industry, and 2) to verify the congruence of the model with the operational ways of the entrepreneurs of SMEs in the textile and clothing industry. The sample consisted of 500 small and medium enterprise entrepreneurs in the textile and clothing industry. This study was quantitative research and the instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire. The data was analyzed using 1^st order and 2^nd order of confirmatory analysis (CFA). The findings of this research revealed that the model of SMEs in the textile and clothing industry was overall at a high level. Four main factors were used for the model of SMEs in the textile and clothing industry by their importance in descending order as follows: marketing mix (MM), collaboration network (CN), production inventory management (PIM), and creativity (CT). The results of verification of model congruence revealed the model of SMEs in the textile and clothing industry was fit and in accordance with the empirical data.

Global crisis expedites the change in the environment of industry and puts small size enterprises in danger of mass bankruptcy. Because of this, domestic small size enterprises is an urgent need of restructuring. Based on the small business data registered in the Credit Guarantee Fund, we estimated the survival probability in the context of the survival analysis. We also analyzed the survival time which are distinguished depending on the types of business in the small business. Financial variables were also conducted using COX regression analysis of small businesses by types of business. In terms of types of business wholesale and retail trade industry and services were relatively high in the survival probability than light, heavy, and the construction industries. Especially the construction industry showed the lowest survival probability. In addition, we found that construction industry, the bigger BIS (bank of international settlements capital ratio) and current ratio are, the smaller default-rate is. But the bigger borrowing bond is, the bigger default-rate is. In the light industry, the bigger BIS and ROA (return on assets) are, the smaller a default-rate is. In the wholesale and retail trade industry, the bigger bis and current ratio are, the smaller a default-rate is. In the heavy industry, the bigger BIS, ROA, current ratio are, the smaller default-rate is. Finally, in the services industry, the bigger current ratio is, the smaller a default-rate is.

Accident analyses are used to identify common factors contributing to occupational accidents and to give recommendations for accident prevention. This study concerns with the accident characteristics and safety management in the small manufacturing industry. To investigate the accident characteristics, we used workers' compensation reports and employers' accident analysis reports. Two hundred and thirty injury accidents which results in more than 4 days absence were surveyed from the manufacturing companies with under 100 employees. The actual safety problems experienced today in the small manufacturing were also examined by interview method with safety engineers. We propose the safety management programs based on the accident characteristics and the actual safety problems. These results can be used to develop more effective occupational safety and health management policies in the small manufacturing industry.

Small and medium industry facility handling hazardous chemicals was inspected and summarized. The inspection results were summarized in four categories such as hazards to process, storage, workers, and the others. The result was applied to further improvement of the facility. In conclusion, the industry intented to satisfy minimum requirement of regulation and they do not pay attention to keep maintaining the facility in integrity condition.

Ship's trim is the one of the most important factor for safety at the sea. Turning circle test and Z-test were carried out to find the effect of ship's trim and draft changes. The results are as follows. 1. If the ship's draft and trim became large, turning circle would be wide. 2. If the ship's draft and trim became large, ship's drift angle would be small. Small drift angle made wide turning circle. 3. Trim by the head made slow ship's final speed when turning circle test. 4. By Z-test, the deeper draft and trim by the stern made small OSA. Small OSA means strong ship's stability. 5. Totally 2nd OSA is smaller than 1st OSA on Z-test. 6. There were small differences of 2nd OSA in trim by the stern, but there were large OSA in trim by the head. 7. The larger trim by the stern, the smaller OSW. The small OSW means better ship's stability and maneuverability.

This study was motivated by the attempt to examine from versatile viewpoints the structural relationship between industrial environment, technology orientation and performances which are all factors related to technical innovation of small and medium-sized companies. In this regard, a survey was conducted to investigate the late industrial environment that could have direct and indirect impacts on the technology orientation of small and medium industry and, based on the survey, an analysis was carried out to determine the effects of its technology orientation on the performances in the technological innovation and management. The outcomes of the analysis could be summed up as follows: First, the factors of technology orientation turned out to have influence on those of industrial environment, which suggests the needs for the small and medium industry to consider the factors of industrial environment at multiple levels. Second, the technology orientation was found to influence the performances of technology innovation and management of small and medium industry in a structural manner, which signifies that the small and medium sized companies have to make strategic decision about the preference in the area of technology innovation and management performances.

Occupational injury rate of Korea recently slides slightly downward after stagnating around 0.7%'s for more than 10 years. To accelerate this trend, injury prevention for small enterprises is crucially important because vast majority of injuries take place in small enterprises. Considering huge number of small enterprises, we need to focus our efforts to type of riskier industries. By analysing detailed injury data, we select type of industries which need our concentrated prevention efforts. Several preventive measures are recommended, after we made literature survey of case studies for small enterprises. The result identifies riskier type of industries including transportation machinery manufacturing industry type(B), woods & veneer manufacturing industry, etc. Safety of machinery, new enterprises less than 2 years in service and new employees serving less than 6 months are in need for focused prevention efforts. To cope with these vulnerable spots, recommended preventive measures include strengthening of machinery safety standards, early assistance for safety to new enterprises, mandatory safety education before employment, etc.
