  • The purpose of this study was to show how to organize small groups on the project method class in technical high school. The subjects of this study were two classes including 40 second-year students (20 students in each class) of architecture design course in D technical high school located in Taejeon metropolitan city. The method of this study was to investigate the ego-state by the ego-gram practicing Transactional Analysis. Total 10 small groups were organized. Each group had 4 members. And the same quality of egostate small group was organized by the 4 students who have high score on NP and AC. The different in kind small group was organized by the 4 students, each of whom has NP leading, A leading, FC leading and AC leading score. After the target small group was video- taped, students' verbal interaction was written into transcripts. Their individual states were analysed by the frame of verbal interaction. The result of this study was that the same quality of TAOK small group had more active interaction(110 times) than different in kind small group(87 times). The frequency of complementary transaction was also higher plenty in the same quality of TAOK small group.

  • In this study, the effects of grouping method (homogeneous/ heterogeneous) considering students' teamwork skills on their conceptual understanding, perceptions of science learning environments, communication anxiety, communication ability, and perceptions toward small group discussions were compared. Students were taught concerning changes of states, density, and dissolution for 9 class periods. The ANCOVA results indicated that there was no significant difference in the conceptions test scores. In the subcategory of 'students' negotiation' of the perceptions of science learning environments test, high teamwork skill students perceived more positively in the heterogeneous group, but low teamwork skill students in the homogeneous group. No significant differences were found in the communication anxiety. More students in the heterogeneous group perceived unequal participation as a disadvantage of the small group discussions than those in the homogeneous group.

  • K-company, being in charge of domestic railway construction and facilities management, got a success rate of 41% with the implement of a improvement scheme by prosecuting of 6 Sigma and the achievement of CTQ (Success criteria : more than 0.5 in achievement of CTQ). It is clear that the factors having an effect on achievement of CTQ are the level of project when pushing forward the project(Big Y and small y according to the scope of the work), the degree of interest of an officer in charge like sponsors, and the continuous feedback toward the implement of a improvement scheme. For improvement CTQ achievement, firstly redefine about a type of project. Secondly, derive small y by Big Y and derives a unit work by small y. Then grouping the unit works and achieve Big Y by performing of every unit work as an executive subject. Thirdly organize a committee of subject selection which is supervised by the general manager. Therefore exhibit staff's leadership, for example motivation, by strong incentives. Lastly, provide ongoing learning and enhance system monitoring about a result management of an betterment execution department.

  • Cooperative learning is a successful teaching strategy in which small teams, each with students of different levels of ability, use a variety of learning activities to improve their understanding of a subject. Each member of a team is responsible not only for learning what is taught but also for helping teammates learn, thus creating an atmosphere of achievement. In this study, we have propose an english, math education program to the children of elementary school and cooperative learning program technique was applied to implement the program. By cooperative learning program, learners will be performed at the same time learning cooperatively. Finally, we have implement a prototype of cooperative learning program and take a usability test with elementary school children. A complementary team to score and mixed was found to be most effective.

  • Millimeter-wave (mmWave) and Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) are expected to be the major techniques that lead to the next generation wireless communication. NOMA provides a high spectrum efficiency by sharing of spatial resources among users in the same frequency band. Meanwhile, millimeter-wave gives a huge underutilized bandwidth at extremely high frequency band (EHF) which covers 30GHz to 300GHz. These techniques have been proven in several recent literatures to achieve high data rates. The combination of NOMA and millimeter-wave techniques further improves average sum capacities, as well as reduces the interference compared to conventional wireless communication systems. In this paper, we focus on hybrid NOMA system working in millimeter-wave frequency. We propose a clustering algorithm used for a hybrid NOMA scheme to optimize the usage of wireless resources. The proposed clustering algorithm adds several conditions in grouping users and defining clusters to increase the probability of the successful superposition decoding process. The performance of the proposed clustering algorithm is investigated in hybrid NOMA system and compared with the conventional orthogonal multiple access (OMA) scheme.

  • The advancement of digital technology has made changes in the fashion system and trend development process inevitable. This article clarifies changes in the modern fashion industry system and the causes of comprehensive changes that result from the development of digital technology. The methodology of this study is based on literature and case studies based on the information magazine most used by fashion industry workers. This study classifies fashion systems into 5 types and 14 types in detail. The study results indicate the way to change the fashion style trend schedule per year, fast/ultrafast fashion system, fashion rental system, DTC system and change of fashion system by consumer participation. The causes of the changes in fashion system are indicated that an increase of trend sensitivity due to an increase in the diffusion rate of information, expansion of expression of personality through digital network, increase of possibility of grouping of small number of tastes and change of prosumer possible changes in the environment. This study provides basic data on fashion system research and the construction of an appropriate response strategy for a changing environment.

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the present condition about the space planning of the nursing rooms at the child care center in U.S.A. The researchers investigated the physical conditions of the centers through sketching, measurement, taking pictures and observation. On the other hand, to understand the user's needs, the interview to the directors of the centers was performed. As a result, the followings were proposed. The grouping of children depending upon the age has to be more classified according to the development period. And the guideline for the space areas has to be improved to a larger standard than present regulation. And the most impressive characteristic of the center in U.S.A. is the functional space design. The space such as toilet, washing room, kitchenet are well organized into the nursing rooms for children. Various ideas for arranging above functions in the small nursing rooms have to be developed in Korea. And the dynamic space arrangement of nursing room is also impressive. The material of the floor has to be considered variously for the comfort of the children.

  • Electrocardiogram(ECG) signal is one of the unique bio-signals of individuals and is used for personal authentication. The existing studies on personal authentication method using ECG signals show a high detection rate for a small group of candidates, but a low detection rate and increased execution time for a large group of candidates. In this paper, we propose a hierarchical algorithm that extracts fiducial points based on curvature of ECG signals as feature values for grouping candidates and identifies candidates using waveform-based comparisons. As a result of experiments on 74 ECG signal records of QT-DB provided by Physionet, the detection rate was about 97% at 3-heartbeat input and about 99% at 5-heartbeat input. The average execution time was 22.4 milliseconds. In conclusion, the proposed method improves the detection rate by the hierarchical personal authentication process, and also shows reduced amount of computation which is plausible in real-time personal authentication usage in the future.

  • Effects of wave grouping on the harbor oscillation are studied in order to clarify the energy source of harbor resonance. The resonant periods of Donghae harbor and Imwon harbor are calculated using the boundary integral equation method. Also, the periods of the group-bounded long waves due to the irregular wave group are calculated using the theory developed in this study. Analyzing from the view point of period, it is concluded that the group-bounded long waves due to the irregular wave group can cause resonance in small harbors such as fishery harbors, and heavy ship motion in large harbors such as industrial ones.

  • The author's studies on the blood grouping of dental calculus by the elution technique can produce a very satisfactory result. The results are briefly summarized as follows: 1) In the blood typing with dental calculus obtained from 77 people, it was found that 24 cases out of 26 A group calculus, and 18 cases out of 19 B group, coincided with respective blood groups. From 2 cases of A group calculus and one case of B group calculus gave the results resembling O group. Everyone of 21 cases of O group and 11 cases of AB group, coincided with original known blood groups. 2) Blood groups can be readily identified with small amounts of calculus(2mg) by the elution test.
