Design of Microstrip Antenna for Satellite Navigation System Jamming

  • This paper proposed a microstrip antenna that can perform jamming of satellite signals from the GPS L5, GLONASS G3, BDS B2 frequency bands (1164 - 1217 MHz) that are employed mainly for military purposes among the GNSS frequencies using unmanned aircrafts over the enemy's sky in time of emergency. The single element in the proposed antenna can be easily mounted to unmanned aircrafts. This study analyzed the characteristics of miniaturization and beam of radiating elements by applying the image theories and perturbation effect to satisfy the uniform level at ${\pm}45^{\circ}$ of beam steering goal due to the phase delay after antenna array. The designed microstrip antenna had a miniaturized radiating element area (x-y plane), which was reduced by 76.3% compared to that of basic microstrip antenna, and its beam width was $190^{\circ}$ in the E-plane and $140^{\circ}$ in the H plane. In addition, the simulation was conducted to determine the characteristics due to the phase delay by arranging the designed single microstrip antenna by $1{\times}4$ array and the results showed that beam steering of ${\pm}45^{\circ}$ is possible in the H-plane on the basis of $0^{\circ}$. Thus, the proposed antenna was verified to be effective in satellite signal jamming in the air as it was attached to the lower end of unmanned aircrafts.

이족의 전통문양을 활용한 가방디자인 개발 연구: 패브릭 패턴 디자인을 중심으로 (The Development of a Bag Design Using the Yi Tribe's Traditional Patterns: Focusing on the Fabric Pattern Design)

  • The purpose of this study is to link the Yi tribe's traditional patterns to bag design. Yi tribe is a minor ethic group in China, whose traditional pattern has a high artistic value in that its shapes are diverse and each one has peculiar elegance. Traditional patterns are also indicative of spiritual dept or symbolic stories, rather than being indicative of simple formative beauty. Thus, reorganizing these patterns and applying them artistically to design- in terms of resource utilization- would be significant. Out of all of the Yi tribe's traditional patterns, the cherry blossom_(马樱花), water wave_(水波), sky father and earth mother_(天父地母), pomegranate blossom, triangle, sheep' horn, wisteria vine_(藤条), square and diaper_(四角菱形) and the zigzag_(曲折) patterns were chosen for use during the development of a bag design. This study is based upon document study, including research papers and internet web sites, the point of which was to investigate the form of the traditional patterns, and the creative design process. The design procedure includes these sub-processes: selection, arrangement and color-scheme. In the selection process, the form of the pattern was edited using Adobe Photoshop. The pattern was freely arranged to reflect various emotions. In terms of the color-scheme of the patterns, the colors used by Henri Matisse(1869-1954) in his work were selected and adapted when dyeing the patterns. Subsequently, the final design resulting from these design development processes was applied to the actual production of the bag by using canvas fabric and leather, after which the bag image was proposed using computer simulation. In conclusion, six bag designs were created using traditional patterns from the Yi tribe. Through the processes explained above, this study confirmed that traditional patterns could be widely applied as design motifs and that more sophisticated, modern, and creative designs could be developed based on traditional patterns.

다목적실용위성 2호 MSC 총복사량의 모델 계산 (Model Calculation of Total Radiances for KOMPSAT-2 MSC)

  • 대기복사모델인 MODTRAN을 이용해 다목적실용위성 2호 탑재체인 Multispectral Camera (MSC)의 총복사량에 대한 계산을 수행하고 그 결과를 분석해 보았다. 모델 계산에서 4계절 조건을 모의실험하기 위해 1월 15일, 7월 15일 계산에 대해 중위도 동절기 및 하절기 모델대기를, 4월 15일, 10월 15일에 대해 US 표준대기를 각각 사용했다. 다목적실용위성 2호 궤도 조건과 각 계절에 대한 대표적인 태양천정각 (solar zenith angle)이 고려되었다. 시정거리는 대류권 에어로솔 소광계수 (tropospheric aerosol extinction)에 해당하는 50km가, 지표의 알베도는 맑은 날 지구 연평균 값에 해당하는 0.135가 가정되었다. MSC 계약서 값은 위 일반적 조건을 가정하고 얻은 모델 계산 총복사량보다 MSC 관측 파장대역 대부분에서 상당히 크다는 것을 알게 되었다. 또한 균일한 지표 알베도를 가정하고 얻은 모델 결과의 분광파장 특징이 MSC 계약서 값의 경향과 다름을 보였다. 이들 결과로부터 향후 획득될 MSC영상은 비교적 어두운 영상이 될 것으로 추론된다.

  • 디지털 영상에서 숲, 물, 하늘과 같은 자연 배경의 표현은 끊임없이 시도 됐고, 발전되어 가고 있다. 애니메이션에서 이러한 배경의 스타일을 기획하고 디자인하는 과정은 애니메이션의 제작 단계 중 프리 프로덕션(pre-production)에 속한다. CG기술의 발전으로 애니메이션의 제작과 소비 속도가 가속화된 요즘 제작 일정을 줄이기 위해 자연물의 배경은 점차 일반화 되어가고 있다. 프리 프로덕션(pre-production)단계에서 콘텐츠의 차별화를 위해 내러티브, 캐릭터만을 중요시하고, 배경은 단순히 움직이지 않는 이미지라고 생각하기 때문이다. 하지만 배경 디자인은 작품의 내러티브를 효과적으로 표현할 수 있는 도구로써 그 역할에 주목할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 작품 속 배경 디자인의 역할을 찾아보기 위해 숲을 주된 배경으로 하는 애니메이션 "이상한 나라의 앨리스"(1951)와 "원령공주"(1997)를 분석하였다. 산림학에서 얘기하는 7가지 숲 경관의 구분 방법을 토대로 주요 배경인 숲을 조사하고, 작가의 의도와 부합하는지 분석하였다.

세척 방법 및 세척 시간에 따른 3D 프린팅 방식으로 제작된 임시 보철물의 변연 및 내면 적합도 평가 (Evaluation of Marginal and Internal Gap of Temporary Prosthesis Fabricated by 3D Printing Method According to Rinsing Method and Rinsing Time)

  • This study was to evaluate the effect of different rinsing times and methods on the accuracy of temporary prostheses fabricated by 3D printing method. Sixty temporary prostheses were fabricated with LCD types of 3D printer(Halot-Sky, Creality, Shenzhen, China) and divided into six groups (n = 10) based on rinsing times and methods. All specimens were rinsed with 99% isopropanol alcohol for 5 and 10 min using three methods-hand washed, ultrasonic cleaning, and automated washing. All specimens were polymerized for 3 minutes under the same conditions. The marginal and internal gaps of specimens were examined using a replica technique. The light-body silicone thickness was measured at 6 reference points(Absolute marginal discrepancy, Marginal, Chamfer, Axial, Angle, and Occlusal gap). All measurements were performed by a stereomicroscope. Reference point images were taken at 100× magnification and then measured using an image analysis program. Statistical analysis was performed using Two-way ANOVA, One-way ANOVA, and the Kruskal-Wallis test (p = .05). The marginal and internal gaps were statistically different according to the rinsing methods and rinsing times(p < .001). In the rinsing time, the temporary prosthesis rinsed for 5 minutes group showed higher accuracy than 10 minutes group. In the rinsing method, the hand washing group showed higher accuracy than the automated washing group.

Magnetic Resonance Imaging Assessment of Paraspinal Muscles in Dogs with Intervertebral Disc Herniation

  • A decrease in the paraspinal muscle cross-sectional area (CSA) and functional cross-sectional area (FCSA) are associated with low back pain and disc herniation in humans. This study examined whether chronicity or lateralization of disc herniation affects the CSA and FCSA of the paraspinal muscles. The CSA and FCSA of the paraspinal muscles between the 12th and 13th thoracic vertebrae were measured in 31 dogs with intervertebral disc herniation (IVDH). The muscle CSA and FCSA were evaluated by dividing the values of the body weight, spinal disc CSA, and spinal canal CSA to offset the differences in body type between subjects. In the chronic IVDH group, the ratio of the paraspinal muscle CSA divided by the body weight was significantly lower, and fat infiltration in the paraspinal muscle was significantly higher than in the acute group. The lateralization of the disc herniation was significantly related to the changes in the paraspinal muscle CSA. In the right-sided disc herniation group, right epaxial muscle CSA was significantly reduced compared to the left-sided disc herniation group. The change in the paraspinal muscle might be a helpful indicator to localize less obvious disc pathologies and target the search for the pathology responsible for disc-related symptoms in dogs.

INVESTIGATION OF BAIKDU-SAN VOLCANO WITH SPACE-BORNE SAR SYSTEM

  • Baikdu-san was a very active volcano during the Cenozoic era and is believed to be formed in late Cenozoic era. Recently it was also reported that there was a major eruption in or around 1002 A.D. and there are evidences which indicate that it is still an active volcano and a potential volcanic hazard. Remote sensing techniques have been widely used to monitor various natural hazards, including volcanic hazards. However, during an active volcanic eruption, volcanic ash can basically cover the sky and often blocks the solar radiation preventing any use of optical sensors. Synthetic aperture radar(SAR) is an ideal tool to monitor the volcanic activities and lava flows, because the wavelength of the microwave signal is considerably longer that the average volcanic ash particle size. In this study we have utilized several sets of SAR data to evaluate the utility of the space-borne SAR system. The data sets include JERS-1(L-band) SAR, and RADARSAT(C-band) data which included both standard mode and the ScanSAR mode data sets. We also utilized several sets of auxiliary data such as local geological maps and JERS-1 OPS data. The routine preprocessing and image processing steps were applied to these data sets before any attempts of classifying and mapping surface geological features. Although we computed sigma nought ($\sigma$$^{0}$) values far the standard mode RADARSAT data, the utility of sigma nought image was minimal in this study. Application of various types of classification algorithms to identify and map several stages of volcanic flows was not very successful. Although this research is still in progress, the following preliminary conclusions could be made: (1) sigma nought (RADARSAT standard mode data) and DN (JERS-1 SAR and RADARSAT ScanSAR data) have limited usefulness for distinguishing early basalt lava flows from late trachyte flows or later trachyte flows from the old basement granitic rocks around Baikdu-san volcano, (2) surface geological structure features such as several faults and volcanic lava flow channels can easily be identified and mapped, and (3) routine application of unsupervised classification methods cannot be used for mapping any types of surface lava flow patterns.

색순응을 기반하여 관촬환경에 독립한 색재현 시스템 개발 (Watching environment-independent color reproduction system development based on color adaption)

  • As information-communication network has been developed rapidly, internet users' circumstances also have been changed for the better, in result, more information can be applied than before. At this moment, there are many differences between real color and reappeared color on the CRT. When we observe a material object, our eyes perceive the multiplied form of light sources and nature spectral reflection. However, when the photographed signal is reappeared, illumination at that time of photographing and spectral reflection of a material object are converted into signal, and this converted RGB signal is observed on the CRT under another illumination. At this time, RGB signal is the reflected result of illumination at that time of photographing Therefore, this signal is influenced by the illumination at present, so it can be perceived another color. To accord the colro reflections of another color source, the study has been reported by S.C.Ahn$^{[1]}$, which study is about the color reapperarance system using neuron network. Furthermore, color reappearing method become independent of its circumstances has been reported by Y.Miyake$^{[2]}$. This method can make the same illuminations even if the observe circumstances are changed. To assume the light sources of observe circumstances, the study about color reappearing system using CCD sensor also have been studied by S.C.Ahn$^{[3]}$. In these studies, a population is fixed, first, on ab coordinates of CIE L${\ast}$a${\ast}$b${\ast}$. Then, color reappearing can be possible using every population and existing digital camera. However, the color is changed curvedly, not straightly, according to value's changes on the ab coordinates of CIE L${\ast}$a${\ast}$b. To solve these problems in this study, first of all, Labeling techniques are introduced. Next, basis color-it is based on Munsell color system-is divided into 10 color fields. And then, 4 special color- skin color, grass color, sky color, and gray-are added to the basis color. Finally, 14 color fields are fixed. After analyzing of the principle elements of new-defined-color fields' population, utility value and propriety value are going to be examined in 3-Band system from now on.

한려해상국립공원(閑麗海上國立公園)의 경관자원(景觀資源) 가치분석(價値分析) (Landscape Value Analysis of Hallyǒ Haesang Sea National Park)

  • 우리나라의 대표적인 해안형국립공원이라 할 수 있는 한려해상국렵공원의 경관자원을 대상으로 시각자원관리를 위한 객관화된 정량적인 기초자료를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 설정된 가설과 실험에 의한 검증과정을 실시하였다. 이에 따라 공간구성요소의 물리량을 메쉬 (Mesh)분석법에 의한 시각량과, S.B.E. Method에 의한 시각적 선호도를 측정하고 시각자원의 가치를 Iverson 법에 의하여 분석하였다. 심리량 분석을 위해 S.D Scale 측정에 의한 공간의 이마지구조를 인자분석 Algorithm을 통하여 밝혔으며 시각적 선호도 측정을 실시하여 결정인자추출과 각 인자 상호간 상대적 중요성을 규명하였다. 한려해상국립공원의 자연경관과 융화를 전제로 한 수림, 하늘, 수면, 기암괴석 등의 자연요소와 인공구조물 등의 요소를 지닌 시각요소가 긍정적으로 높게 나타날 수 있도록 대상지향성과 형수성을 높일 수 있는 체험의 장을 이루게 하여 경관적 가치를 높이며, 인공구조물 요소에 대한 보다 계획적이고 체계적인 설치 등의 경관자원관리 기법이 필요하다 하겠다. 한려해상국립공원 경관자원관리 개선방안의 측면에서 볼 때 인간간섭이 과다하게 되면 식생을 파괴하게 되어 자연경관의 질을 떨어뜨리게 되기 때문에 구체저이고도 명확한 관리목표를 설정하여 합리적인 수준의 개발이 이루어져야 하고, 적정이용수를 산정하여 적정이용수의 범위내에서 출입을 허용하여야 할 것이다. 다만 관리목표는 수준별로 설치, 적극적 관리, 매우 적극적 관리의 3단계 목표를 설정하여 허용할 수 있는 변화의 한계로 인식되어야 할 것이다.

영상 전처리 수행을 통한 Rededge-M 카메라의 수색 관측에의 활용성 검토 (Evaluation of Rededge-M Camera for Water Color Observation after Image Preprocessing)

  • 물의 색깔 즉, 수색(水色)을 분석하면 그 물이 함유하고 있는 유색 구성물질의 분포 및 농도를 비파괴적으로 추정할 수 있다. 이러한 분석을 위해 분광복사계를 사용하는데, 최근 드론, 자율운행차, 헬리카이트 등의 저고도 무인 플랫폼에 장착하기 위한 경량 다분광 카메라에 대한 수요가 높아지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 최근 활용 용이성으로 인해 지역적 환경 변화를 모니터링함에 있어 그 활용도가 높아진 Micasense사의 Rededge-M 다분광 카메라의 전처리를 수행하고, 수색관측에의 활용성을 검증하기 위한 분석을 수행하였다. 우선, 영상 형태로 생성되는 자료에서의 Vignette 보정 및 밴드 정렬을 수행하였고, 수색관측을 위해 필요한 하늘, 물, 태양광을 측정한 복사량 그리고 그로부터 최종적으로 도출되는 원격탐사 반사도 관측치를 독립적인 초분광 센서의 관측값과 비교하여 분석하였다. 실험 결과, 전처리 과정을 수행하였을 시, 청색밴드(475 nm)와 근적외선 밴드(840 nm)에서 주목할 만한 차이가 있었지만, Rededge-M은 전반적으로 수색 분석을 위한 기본적인 광학적 성능을 가지고 있음을 확인하였다.
