비동기 라이브러리 설계와 Heterogeneous시스템을 위한 인테페이스 설계 (Design of Asynchronous Library and Implementation of Interface for Heterogeneous System)

  • 713p 비동기 로직 회로 설계를 위한 라이브러리와 heterogeneous 시스템을 위한 인터페이스 회로를 0.25um CMOS 기술을 사용하여 설계하였다. 그리고 heterogeneous 시스템에는 1.6GHz로 동작을 하는 고속 비동기 FIFO 회로를 사용하였다. 또한 Tip-down ASIC 설계를 지원하기 위하여 비동기 기본 셀 레이아웃과 Verilog 모델들을 설계하였다. 본 논문에서는 클럭 skew에 관하여 병목현상을 줄일 수 있는 방법을 제사하였으며 클럭 제어 회로를 사용하여 동기식 회로에서 자주 발생하는 에러를 줄을 수 가 있다. 이와 같이 클럭 제어 회로와 FIFO (First-In First-Out)를 사용하여 다른 주파수로 동작하는 두개의 모듈간의 고속의 데이터 전송을 가능하게 하였으며, 32비트 인터페이스 칩의 코어 사이즈는 $1.1mm{\times}1.1mm$이다.

GRS-RW 보강토벽체 공법의 준3차원 안정해석 (Quasi-Three Dimensional Stability Analysis of the Geosynthetic-Reinforced Soil Retaining Wall System)

  • 본 연구에서는, GRS-RW 보강토벽체 공법에 대한 안정해석법의 체계화를 위해 3차원 예상파괴 흙쐐기를 가정하여, 직선부구간 뿐만 아니라 특히 편기각 보강재가 설치되는 곡선부 구간에 대해 적용 가능한 준3차원 안정성 평가기법의 제시가 이루어졌다. 아울러, 본 연구 제시 안정해석법에 의해 평가되는 작용토압합력을 다짐토압 분포형태로 가정하여, 1차원 유한요소해석을 이용한 전면 벽체의 변위예측기법을 제시하였다. 또한 제시된 전면벽체 변위예측기법의 타당성을 확인하기 위해, 캐나다의 RMC 및 미국의 FHWA에서 시행한 시험결과와 본 연구 제시기법에 의한 예측치를 서로 비교하였으며, 본 비교에는 기존의 보강토벽체 발생변위 평가방법인 Christopher등의 방법 및 Chew & Mitchell의 방법 등을 토대로 한 예측치도 추가 검토상의 목적으로 포함하였다. 또한 편기각 보강재가 설치되는 볼록형태 곡선부 구간에 대해서, 본 연구 예측치와 $FLAC_{3D}$프로그램 해석결 과와의 비교를 퉁해, 본 연구 변위예측기법의 신뢰성 검증이 추가로 이루어졌다. 이외에도, 본 연 구 제시 안정해석 법에 의해 평가되는 전면벽체의 작용토압합력을 깊이별 다짐토압 분포형태로 가정한 기법의 타당성 확인을 위해, FHWA에서 제시한 발생토압 측정결과와 서로 비교하였다. 아울러 다양한 관련 설계변수가 GRS-RW 보강토벽체의 안정성에 미치는 영향등을 분석하였다.

  • 최근 차량의 연비규제 강화로 인해, 기존 내연기관의 차량 부품 구동방식이 유압방식 대신 전동방식으로 대체되어 가고 있다. 이러한 부품의 대표적인 예가, Electronic Power Steering(EPS)이며, 현재 대부분의 차량에 적용되고 있다. EPS의 핵심 부품으로서는 전동기가 있으며, EPS의 조향감 개선 및 진동/소음 저감을 위해 전동기의 Cogging torque 및 Torque Ripple 저감이 요구된다. 일반적으로 Cogging torque 및 Torque ripple을 저감하기 위해서, 고정자 또는 회전자에 스큐를 적용한다. 본 연구에서는 고정자에 스큐가 적용된 Bushless PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor)의 설계 방법 및 해석방법에 대해 소개한다. 고정자 skew가 적용된 EPS용 PMSM에 대해 초기 설계를 진행하고, RSM(Response Surface Methodology)을 이용한 최적설계를 수행한다. 유한요소해석을 통해 역기전력, Inductance, Load torque 등의 성능을 확인한다. 마지막으로 시제품 제작 및 실험을 통해 설계 방법에 대한 신뢰성을 검증한다.

선로 이송 가설공법을 적용한 철도판형교 유도상화 (An experimental construction of railway steel plate girder strengthen adding ballast system by transport equipment)

  • It has been applied using cranes or insertion methods to install heavy structures to strengthen existing railway bridges. These methods are uneconomical because of two reasons. The first one is it is required to construct approach roads for heavy equipment and/or working yard. The second one is the electric lines shall be cutoff during construction. Both require additional construction cost and duration. In this study, new transport equipment was developed which can be applied to heavy structures up to 100 ton. Using this method, the heavy structure can be loaded into the new transport equipment at working yard and transported to the working site. This method can be applied, but not limited to railway bridge or roadbed rehabilitation. It was found that the precious construction can be achieved to install heavy structure using this method. The experimental construction to make non-ballast girder bridge composite with new pc deck slab using this method was carried out for Jewon bridge. The example bridge is in extreme condition because it locates above national road #38 within extreme transition curve and has 10 ‰ slope and skew. The experimental construction results were satisfactory both for safety and construction precision.

Modeling Implied Volatility Surfaces Using Two-dimensional Cubic Spline with Estimated Grid Points

  • In this paper, we introduce the implied volatility from Black-Scholes model and suggest a model for constructing implied volatility surfaces by using the two-dimensional cubic (bi-cubic) spline. In order to utilize a spline method, we acquire grid (knot) points. To this end, we first extract implied volatility curves weighted by trading contracts from market option data and calculate grid points from the extracted curves. At this time, we consider several conditions to avoid arbitrage opportunity. Then, we establish an implied volatility surface, making use of the two-dimensional cubic spline method with previously estimated grid points. The method is shown to satisfy several properties of the implied volatility surface (smile, skew, and flattening) as well as avoid the arbitrage opportunity caused by simple match with market data. To show the merits of our proposed method, we conduct simulations on market data of S&P500 index European options with reasonable and acceptable results.

Optimization of energy saving device combined with a propeller using real-coded genetic algorithm

  • This paper presents a numerical optimization method to improve the performance of the propeller with Turbo-Ring using real-coded genetic algorithm. In the presented method, Unimodal Normal Distribution Crossover (UNDX) and Minimal Generation Gap (MGG) model are used as crossover operator and generation-alternation model, respectively. Propeller characteristics are evaluated by a simple surface panel method "SQCM" in the optimization process. Blade sections of the original Turbo-Ring and propeller are replaced by the NACA66 a = 0.8 section. However, original chord, skew, rake and maximum blade thickness distributions in the radial direction are unchanged. Pitch and maximum camber distributions in the radial direction are selected as the design variables. Optimization is conducted to maximize the efficiency of the propeller with Turbo-Ring. The experimental result shows that the efficiency of the optimized propeller with Turbo-Ring is higher than that of the original propeller with Turbo-Ring.

동적 외연적/강소성 유한요소 해석과 차체판넬성형에의 적용 (A Dynamic Explicit/Rigid-plastic Finite Element Analysis and its Application to Auto-body Panel Stamping Process)

  • In the present work a rigid-plastic finite element formulation using dynamic explicit time integration scheme is proposed for numerical analysis of auto-body panel stamping processes. The rigid-plastic finite element method based on membrane elements has long been employed as a useful numerical technique for the analysis of sheet metal forming because of its time effectiveness. A damping scheme is proposed in order to achieve a stable solution procedure in dynamic sheet forming problems. In order to improve the drawbacks of the conventional membrane elements, BEAM(abbreviated from Bending Energy Augmented Membrane) elements are employed. Rotational damping and spring about the drilling direction are introduced to prevent a zero energy mode. The lumping scheme is employed for the diagonal mass matrix and linearizing dynamic formulation. A contact scheme is developed by combining the skew boundary condition and the direct trial-and-error method. Computations are carried out for analysis of complicated auto-body panel stamping processes such as forming of an oilpan, a fuel tank and a front fender. The numerical results of explicit analysis are compared with the implicit results with good agreements and it is shown that the explicit scheme requires much shorter computational time, especially when the problem becomes more complicated. It is thus shown that the proposed dynamic explicit rigid-plastic finite element method enables an effective computation for complicated autobody panel stamping processes.

비정규분포공정(非正規分布工程)에서 특수관리도(特殊管理圖)의 적용연구(適用硏究) (A Study on the Special Purpose Control Chart for Non-normal Distribution)

  • Whereas in non-symmetrical distribution manufacturing process they are not plotted relatively on the centeral line but plotted on the skew of right-hand side or left-hand side. That is to say, for the prupose of producing either upper-specification-oriented items or lower-specification-oriented items, and when we carry out tighter control so as to have them pass only its specifications, the distribution shape naturally has a non-normal distribution. In these cases, we could use either compressed control limits or variable transformed logarithm control charts. It the above mentioned methods were not available, we should use special purpose control chart-Mode control chart or Gram-Charlier control chart. These are proper methods for manufacturing process control which uses control chart method. In spite of these methods, domestic manufacturing and mining companies are utterly ignorant about these methods. That invites practical problems in their companies. To enhance this improvements, I proved the property of practical applications of control chart method by comparing and analyzing the case studies of practical application of speical purpose control chart method, and also by introducing the application methods.

  • Whereas is non-symmetrical distribution manufacturing process the traditional X-chart by Shewhart is not plotted relatively on the central line but plotted on the skew of upper-hand side or lower-hand side. That is to say, for the purpose of producing either upper-specification-oriented items or lower-specification-oriented items, and when we carry out tighter control so as to have them pass only its specifications, the distribution shape naturally has a non-normal distribution. In the Shewhart X-chart, which is the most widely used one in Korea, such skewed distributions make tile plots to be inclined below or above the central line or outside the control limits although no assignable causes can be found. To overcome such short comings is non-normally distributed processes, a distribution-free type of confidence interval can be used, which should be haled on order statistics. This thesis is concerned with the design of control chart based on a sample median which is easy to use in practical situation and therefore properties for non-normal distributions, such as Gamma, Beta, Lognormal, Weibull, Pareto, and Truncated-normal distributions, may be easily analyzed. To enhance this improvement, I proved the property of practical applications of control chart method by comparing and analyzing the case studies of practical application of special purpose control chart method, and also by introducing the new designed median control chart.

원단 패턴 검출 알고리즘을 적용한 원단교정기 개발 및 성능평가 (Development of Weft Straightener Using Fabric Pattern Detection Algorithm and Performance Evaluation)

  • Weft straightener is an important process to control the final quality of the fabrics. It is needed to calibrate the distorted weft after dyeing process. During various fabric treatment processes, the fabric is almost done with heat treatment through a tenter machine. At this time, weft distortion is occurred with uneven tension distribution. Traditionally, photo sensor is commonly used to detect the weft distortion but it is not applicable for special fabric types such as twill, mesh, combi, etc. In this paper, a new method for detecting the weft distortion using camera is introduced. A new weft straightener simulator is also developed to test the ability of the proposed method. It is shown that the method can be applied for various fabric types.
