본 논문에서는 KLT(Kanade-Lukas-Tomasi) 특징점에 기반한 비접촉 장문인식 방법을 제안한다.
This paper is a study of the water sensor using a coaxial cavity resonator. This water sensor uses the resonant frequency variation of the coaxial cavity resonator when there is a water drop of the used coaxial cavity resonator. And we made resonant frequencies by controlling the input voltage of the oscillator which will be mainly resonated in the coaxial cavity resonator. First, we made the coaxial cavity resonator by simulating the resonator structure with the proposed size and we expect the resonant frequency from the simulation and then we decide the VCO from the result. Second, we made the water drop detecting sensor circuit and measured the water sensor. We decided the size of the resonator as inner conductor 5mm, outer conductor 14mm, the height of resonator 9.5mm, and the height of the glass 6mm from the simulated result. The simulated resonant frequencies are 3.09GHz and we made the VCO frequency ranges from 2.56GHz to 3.2GHz. The measured resonant frequency is 2.97GHz and the return loss is under -8. 4 dB at the center frequency. When the water is dropped on the glass of the resonator, the voltage has changed from 690mV to 145mV. It shows the proposed water sensor can detect the water by the resonant frequency variation of the resonator.

In this paper, we introduce a more improved camera modeling method for linear pushbroom images than the method proposed by Orun and Natarajan(ON). ON model shows an accuracy of within 1 pixel if more than 10 ground control points(GCPs) are provided. In general, there is high correlation between platform position and attitude parameters but ON model ignores attitude variation in order to overcome such correlation. We propose a new method that obtains an optimal solution set of parameters without ignoring the attitude variation. We first assume that attitude parameters are constant and estimate platform position's. Then we estimate platform attitude parameters using the values of estimated position parameters. As a result, we can set up an accurate camera model for a linear pushbroom satellite scene. In particular, we can apply the camera model to its surrounding scenes because our model provide sufficient information on satellite's position and attitude not only for a single scene but also for a whole imaging segment. We tested on two images: one with a pixel size 6.6m$\times$6.6m acquired from EOC(Electro Optical Camera), and the other with a pixel size 10m$\times$l0m acquired from SPOT. Our camera model procedures were applied to the images and gave satisfying results. We had obtained the root mean square errors of 0.5 pixel and 0.3 pixel with 25 GCPs and 23 GCPs, respectively.
PURPOSES : Conductive and convective heat transfer simulations for an asphalt mixture were made by using discrete element method (DEM) and similarity principle. METHODS : In this research, virtual specimens composed of discrete element method particles were generated according to four different predetermined particle size distribution curves. Temperature variations of the four different particles for a given condition were estimated and were compared with measurements and analytical solutions. RESULTS : The virtual specimen with mixed particles and with the smallest particle show very good agreement with laboratory test results and analytical solutions. As particle size decreases, better heat transfer simulation can be performed due to smaller void ratio and more contact points and areas. In addition, by utilizing the similarity principle of thermal properties and corresponding time unit, analytical time can be drastically reduced. CONCLUSIONS : It is concluded that the DEM asphalt mixture specimens with similarity principle could be used to predict the temperature variation for a given condition. It is observed that the void ratio has critical effect on prediction of temperature variation. Comparing the prediction for a 4 mm particle specimen with a mixed particle specimen, it is also concluded that predicting the mixed particle specimen temperature is much more efficient considering the number of particles that are directly associated with computational time in DEM analysis.
The damage mechanism of $Cr_2O_3$ plasma coated soda-lime glass and uncoated glass by steel ball particle impact was analyzed in this study. And the shape variation of the cracks was investigated by stereo-microscope according to the impact velocity and steel ball diameter. In order to improve the damage reduction effect by $Cr_2O_3$ coating layer, crack size was measured and surface erosion state was observed for both of two kinds of specimen after impact experiment. And the results were compared with each other. The 4-point bending test was performed according to ASTM D790 testing method to evaluate the effect of coating layer for bending strength variation. As a result, it was found that the crack size of $Cr_2O_3$ coated specimen was smaller than that of uncoated one, because of the impact absorption by interior pores in the coating layer and the load dispersion by the structural characteristic of the coating layer. For the specimens subjected to the steel ball impact, the bending strength of coated specimen was higher than that of uncoated specimen.
Annual growth segments of Ascophyllum nodosum (L.) Le Jolis (Fucales, Fucaceae) are denoted by air bladders that form each spring. By examining annual growth segments, it may be possible to infer information about the physical conditions during the growth period; however, it is uncertain whether the annual segments will expand in size after the initial growth. We examined A. nodosum segments from three populations in Nova Scotia, and statistically evaluated whether the annual growth (length, mass, and maximum diameter) of segments was independent of the age of the frond, whether the segments increased in size after the initial growth, and whether the segment lengths were correlated with mean water temperatures and mean air temperatures when the segments were formed. We found that the growth in length of A. nodosum is dependent on the age of the frond, but frond age explained less than 12 % of the overall variation in length. However, the mass and maximum diameter of segments were independent of the age of the frond. Differences occurred between the lengths of segments formed in different years, but there was no significant correlation with regional mean water or air temperatures. This study indicates that the length of A. nodosum segments may be an indicator of the annual physical characteristics of a site, but future studies are needed to identify which factors have the strongest influence on growth patterns.
The quality of bundles is closely related with the apparent thickness. Especially the variation of apparent thickness of bundle determines the qualify of the plane structure made or the bundle such as surface evenness, pore size, and the shape of air-gap, etc.,. This study is dealing with the development of a new measuring system of the thickness of bundle or cross-section by determining the size of the shadow of the object covered by a laser slit beam. Also the measured signal is characterized in terms of the correlogram, the irregularity in wavelength. The correlogram for the irregularity of several sample types could be represented by a sinusoidal function with exponentially decaying amplitude. Moreover, influence of the measuring speed on the signal and the characteristic differences according to the different types of bundle are investigated.
Spatial variation of heavy metal accumulation was investigated in Manila clam Ruditapes philippinarum collected from several tidal flats. Sediment metal levels varied highly among the sites, which was attributed primarily to differences in Fe and organic carbon contents and in part to gain size. Significant differences in metal concentrations also were found in the clam tissue among the different sampling sites. However, except for a few metals (Mn, Zn, Pb), which showed some elevation, the variations in the clam tissue were not related to the variations in the sediment. This is likely because most metals in filter-feeding herbivores such as R. philippinarum accumulated as a result of feeding on suspended particles such as phytoplankton and organic detritus in the water column, not in bottom sediment. In addition, tissue weight for a specific shell size varied significantly among the sites, and increased tissue mass indicating a good nutritive condition likely caused a subsequent dilution of body metals leading to reduced weight-specific concentrations of some metals (Cd, Zn, Cu, Co).
Comfortable sleeping largely depends on human mental state, physical condition, the temper. ature and humidity in bedrooms, and qualities of quilt and bedcover. Of the qualities of quilt, thermal insulation effect plays the most important role in keeping bedroom in ample temperature and preventing human body from giving off heat. In the present study, which is a sequel study to research on the thermal insulation effect, the real-size quilts with the following items of filling materials in them are designed to research on the variation of each item, and to measure the effect of the weight variation in inner covers on the thermal insulation effect of quilts, the results are as follows: 1. The coefficient between the weight of filling materials and the thermal insulation effect of quilt is shown to be a significant $0.91\~0.97$. 2. The thermal insulation effect of the quilts with in size of $0.5\;Kg/m^{2}$ is surveyed to be high in order down > polyester > cotton > wool. 3. The effect of the texture of inner covers on the thermal insulation effect of quilt is shown to be ignorably low. 4. The weight of filling materials is shown to be in correlation with the thermal insulation effect of quilts, and the estimated regression line has been obtained.
Variation in the microbial biomass and community structure found in sediment of heavily polluted bays and the adjacent unpolluted areas were examined using phospholipid fatty acid analysis. Total microbial biomass and microbial community structure were responding to environmental determinants, sediment grain size, depth of sediment, and pollution due to petroleum hydrocarbons. The marker fatty acids of microeukaryotes and prokaryotes - aerobic, anaerobic, and sulfate-reducing bacteria - were detected in sediments of the areas studied. Analysis of the fatty acid profiles revealed wide variations in the community structure in sediments, depending on the extent of pollution, sediment depth, and sediment grain size. The abundance of specific bacterial fatty acids points to the dominance of prokaryotic organisms, whose composition differed among the stations. Fatty acid distributions in sediments suggest the high contribution of aerobic bacteria. Sediments of polluted sites were significantly enriched with anaerobic bacteria in comparison with clean areas. The contribution of this bacterial group increased with the depth of sediments. Anaerobic bacteria were predominantly present in muddy sediments, as evidenced from the fatty acid profiles. Relatively high concentrations of marker fatty acids of sulfate-reducing bacteria were associated with organic pollution in this site. Specific fatty acids of microeukaryotes were more abundant in surface sediments than in deeper sediment layers. Among the microeukaryotes, diatoms were an important component. Significant amounts of bacterial biomass, the predominance of bacterial biomarker fatty acids with abundance of anaerobic and sulfate-reducing bacteria are indicative of a prokaryotic consortium responsive to organic pollution.
