Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the correlations among the resting physical factors related to a six-minute walk test (6MWT) and to determine the effects of the resting physical factors on the distance and intensity related to the 6MWT in healthy female subjects. Methods: A total of 43 healthy female subjects ($22.84{\pm}3.90yrs$) participated in this study. They performed the 6MWT, and the physical factors related to the 6MWT were assessed. SPSS 20.0 was used to analyze the data, and the mean and standard deviation were calculated, and the collected data were analyzed by the Pearson's correlation coefficient (among physical factors related to 6MWT) and independent t-test (between six-minute walk distance [6MWD] groups and six-minute walk intensity [6MWI] groups). Results: The 6MWD had a significant negative correlation with the resting HR (beat/min) in healthy female subjects (r=-0.49, p<0.05). The 6MWI had a significant negative correlation with the resting systolic blood pressure (SBP) (r=-0.45, p<0.01). A comparison of the 6MWD revealed the long distance group (LDG, 700-799 m) to be significantly higher than the middle distance group (MDG, 600-699 m) in the 6MWI (%), %predicted distance (%), predicted VO2max (mL/kg/min), resting HR (beat/min), and resting SBP (mmHg)(p<0.05). In the comparison of 6MWI, the moderate intensity group (MIG, 64-75%HRmax) was significantly lower than the low intensity group (LIG, 50-63%HRmax) in the resting SBP (mmHg) (p<0.05). Conclusion: These results suggest that the resting physical factors are related to the 6MWD and 6MWI of the 6MWT in healthy females. In particular, SBP is associated with not only the 6MWD but also the 6MWI in 6MWT.
As the web advertising proliferates due to the explosive growth of Internet users, there is a research need for the consumers' general perception on the individual advertisements in the web. This research studies whether the characteristics of Internet advertising(entertainment, informativeness, purchase facilitation, irritation) influence the consumers' attitudes in the Internet environment. This is based on the fact that the web as an advertising channel is quite different from the traditional advertising channels. Twc different surveys are conducted; one is to study consumers' general responses for the Internet advertising in general, and the other is to study more specifically consumers' attitudes for the six different advertising messages(product advertising, corporate image advertising, on-line catalog, billboard, contest/game advertising and online directory of firms). Entertainment and informativeness factors are found to be positively related with the consumers' general attitudes for the web advertising, whereas purchase facilitation and irritation factors have no relationships. Also, a set of advertising strategies for the six different advertising messages are given based on the findings about the relationships between the six advertising messages and the four influencing factors.

An energy storage system is composed of lithium-ion batteries in modern applications. Batteries are regarded as storage devices for renewable and residual energy. The failure of batteries can cause the performance reduction and explosion of battery systems. High maintenance cost is essential when dealing with the problem of battery safety. Therefore an accurate health diagnosis is required to ensure the high reliability of battery systems. A battery pack is a combination of single cells in series and parallel connections. A battery pack has to consider various factors to assess battery health. Battery health involves conventional factors and additional factors, such as cell-to-cell imbalance. For large applications, state-of-health (SOH) can be inaccurate because of the lack of factors that indicate the state of the battery pack. In this study, six characterization factors are proposed for improving the SOH estimation of battery packs. The six proposed characterization factors can be regarded as health indicators (HIs). The six HIs are applied to the principal component analysis (PCA) algorithm. To reflect information regarding capacity, voltage, and temperature, the PCA algorithm extracts new degradation factors by using the six HIs. The new degradation factors are applied to a multiple regression model. Results show the advancement and improvement of SOH estimation.
This case study provides a market analysis methodology for overseas markets by applying statistical tools and the Six Sigma approach. The study suggests a procedure with seven steps to improve brands position in the market. These steps consist of interviewing consumers and floor salesmen of stores, surveying, analysis of correlation between brand position and customers satisfaction, analysis of relationship with companies and customer satisfaction factors, analysis of the customer satisfaction gap between companies, evaluating the importance of customer satisfaction factors, and suggestion for enhancement of brand position. The Six Sigma approach such as "Define", "Measure" and "Analyze" is used in this procedure, which is part of Six Sigma procedure, D-M-A-I-C (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Minitab and SAS are used for the statistical analysis.

The visual preference of interiors focusing on lobbies was investigated as a function of six predictor variable on the base of the Informational Approach: complexity, coherence, mystery, spaciousness, brightness, plant. The Common Fcator Analysis of preference ratings yielded six common factors which helped to account for 22.3 percent of the variance in preference response to the scene. Among these factors, the factor defined as 'bright with many plants' was the most preferred and the factor defined as 'simple and closed' was the least preferred. The environmental attributes reflected in six groups of scenes were colour, resting place, window and the six predictors. In the commercial building scenes, complexity, spaciousness, coherence, brightness and mystery out of six predictors accounted for 74 percent of preference variance as the significant contributors. In the business building scenes, three predictors which are brightness, complexity, spaciousness accounted for 84 percent of preference variance. 'The amount of plant' not only influenced the preference indirectly through the intervening variable, complexity, but also was moderately correlated with brightness. The overall pattern of the resulted confirmed the usefulness of the Informational Approach to predict the preference in interiors focusing on lobbies.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify factors affecting on the successful cessation of smoking for six months in the smoking cessation clinic of a public health center. Methods: The subjects of this study were 568 adult smokers who had registered in the smoking cessation clinic of a public health center in B City. Data were analyzed through $x^2$-test, t-test, and logistic regression using the SPSS/WIN 12.0 program. Results: Identified factors affecting the successful cessation of smoking for six months were service type, number of counseling, alcohol problem, previous quit-smoking trial, dependency on nicotine, CO level in expiration at the first visit time, self-reevaluation, helping relationship, negative/affective situational temptation, and Cons. Conclusion: Trans-theoretical Model variables were confirmed as factors affecting the success of smoking cessation. Based on the results of this study, a smoking cessation program was suggested, which uses Trans-theoretical Model variables affecting smoking cessation for six months in a public health center.
Objective : The purpose of this study is exploring value of Shanghanlun six diagnostic system as Narrative Medicine by analyzing cases. Methods : In the article, we examined the theory of narrative medicine and current studies. And then key elements of narrative medicine was defined. On the basis of these, two medical cases were analyzed by reordering in accordance with time sequences and causality for confirming narrative factors. Results : The narrative approach to analyzing cases shows us that different diseases could be the result of same pathological patterns based on Shanghanlun. This tells us following four aspects. [1] Shanghanlun is the causes-oriented records and the text includes narrative factors. [2] Shanghanlun six diagnostic system is a process of constructing plot of medical case history through the clinical interpretation of contextual meaning of patient's life. [3] In the process of diagnosis, Schemata and script are engaged in assuming and confirming six patterns diseases. [4] The subjective factors of an individual can be applied universally through the provision of Shanghanlun. Conclusions : Narrative factors of Shanghanlun six diagnostic system suggest the possibility and value of Shanghan Medicine as Narrative Medicine in terms of Medical Humanities, essence of medical diagnosis and therapeutic action.
Objective: This study investigated the problems that could be faced with when engineers try to improve the affective quality using the DMAIC model. Background: Affective quality is considered one of the most influential factors for the competitive power of consumer products and many engineers make effort to improve the affective quality. Since the Six Sigma process is effective and wide-used method for quality improvement, it can also be used to improve the affective quality. However six sigma tools cannot be directly used for affective quality because of the subjective and qualitative characteristics of the human affection. Method: Investigate the goals, processes and key factors of DMAIC model and find the difficulties to use six sigma tools for the affective quality. Results: Most of the problems arise from measuring and quantifying the human affective response level and understanding the relationship between the human affective factors. Conclusion: Both the protocol for measuring human affection and the monitoring system to find the affective response change for the product or service are required. Application: The results of this study could be helpful for the engineers not specialized in ergonomics to improve the affective quality in systematic approach.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to analyse the facial changes and factors contributing to then after bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy of mandibular prognathism. Materials and Methods : Forty patients with Class III dental and skeletal malocclusion who were treated with bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy were reviewed. Frontal and lateral cephalometric radiographs were taken preoperatively, immediate postoperatively and more than six months postoperatively in each patient. After tracing the cephalometric radiographs, various parameters were measured. Results : 1. Gonial angle at postoperative two days was decreased about $10.4^{\circ}$ than preoperatively and gonial angle at postoperative six months was increased about $6.8^{\circ}$ than postoperative two days. So, gonial angle at postoperative six months was decreased about $3.6^{\circ}$ than preoperative gonial angle. 2. Facial height postoperative two days was decreased about 0.8mm than preoperatively and facial height at postoperative six months was decreased about 0.7mm than postoperative two days. So, facial height at postoperative six months was decreased about 1.5mm than preoperative facial height. 3. Mandibular width postoperative two days was decreased about 1.0mm than preoperatively and mandibular width at postoperative six months was increased about 1.8mm than postoperative two days. So, mandibular width at postoperative six months was decreased about 2.8mm than preoperative mandibular width. 4. Amount of set back and mandibular plane angle were not influencing on relapse degree. Conclusion : It is thought that bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy in mandibular prognathic patients is effective to improve long face and steep gonial angle. More prudent operation and careful postoperative management is required to maintain stable face postoperatively. Further research for soft tissue changes and factors which are related with relapse is needed.
Purpose: Existing precedent studies include success factors of individual management innovation activities constantly. However, those studies have limitations about the common key success factors of individual management innovation activities. Methods: For this study, we investigate the key success factors using literature research of the most typical management innovation activities adopted and implemented by many companies in Korea, such as 6sigma, TQM, Lean 6sigma, ERP, TPM, BPR, Project Management, System Engineering. Factors emerging repeatedly was combined into common factors and inherent factors that are necessary for the success of individual management innovation activities are designated to essential factors. Results: 'Essential factors for Six Sigma' consist of 5 items. Black belt operating system, personnel management system linkage, the correct management of the data, perform improvement projects associated with financial performance financial result, linked to financial performance improvement project, project progress management. 'Essential factors of TQM' are arranged 4 items. Quality team's independence and role, goal-setting, Quality Information System, corporate's philosophy of quality first. 'Essential factors of Lean Six Sigma' are the selection of value stream which is based on the customer needs and the value creation and identify the project based on the selected value in the company. 'Essential factors of ERP' are investigated 6 items. Ongoing system maintenance and upgrades, the measurement and support of user satisfaction, the operating systems and the policies for the maintenance, IT infrastructure, change adaption condition monitoring, focusing on improving business performance. 'Essential factors for TPM' are arranged 4 items. Motivated and energetic Bottom-Up, CEO's recognition of the importance facility management, long-term perspective of necessity and ongoing patience. 'Essential factors for BPR' are the pursuit of change process and the staff's sense of crisis management. 'Essential factors for Project Management' are the strategy that reduce the risk management skills through risk management and the understanding and organized management for the project participant's needs. 'Essential factors for System Engineering' consist of 2 items. The first is the design for the best balanced system with pre-analysis about the compromise the cost, schedule and the performance. The second is the analysis of large problem into small problems which can solved. We have found the solution considering components of the interface through the systematic perspective. Conclusion: Common factors and essential factors presented in this study will properly help to introduce the individual management innovation activities for the each business sector and implement management innovation. After this study, new literature research that reflect new studies should accomplish steadily.
