지역특성을 고려한 건축 디자인 개념 표현 과정 (A Study on the Representation Process of Architectural Design Concepts considering Regional Characteristics)

  • It was the purpose of this study that propose architectural design process through analysis of concepts considering regional characteristics. The procedure of this study was as follows : First, classifying design process through investigating paper-survey and case studies. And We would investigate representation process of design concepts applied to design competitions entries. Finally, we would investigate design process applied to buildings in various districts. In the results, we could find that domestic architects were applying to site plan, floor plan, elevation plan, section plan and mass plan-led design process to express design concepts. And according to survey on buildings in various districts, we could verify that architects were applying various design process to express design concepts according to site characteristics. These results could help architects to design appropriately, according to site characteristics.

  • This study has the purpose to examine the elements of deducing site plan of contemporary architecture in Jeju by looking into the mainly used measures and value in establishing the site plan of contemporary architecture of Jeju. Being the initial decision making stage that serves as basis in creating design alternative and completes overall designing alternative frame, Site plan is the core stage of initial architectural planning. In addition, analysis of site plan concept the central overall idea for site plan offers the perspective to access the problem for solution in site plan. Therefore, through the analysis of elements to deduce the site plan concept of the contemporary architecture in Jeju, the characteristics of site plan concept that considered the placement and locality of Jeju can be objectively examined in planning out the site plan of contemporary architecture in Jeju, and such analysis results may become objective basic data in planning out the site plan of the contemporary architecture in Jeju.

배재대학교 캠퍼스 조경계획의 제안 (A Proposal of Campus Landscape Plan for PaiChai University)

  • This proposal is to present a campus landscape plan for PaiChai University. The site is located in 439-6 Doma-dong, Seo-gu, Taejon City and has an area of $208,499m^2$. The landscape plan covers the following: site inventory and analysis; integration of design program and site analysis; evaluation of design concept; schematic design including circulation form and spatial form; and design development including subarea design. In the design process, the author focused on the integration and interpretation of site conditions as related to the university buildings. He also collectively analyzed and considered the physical development of the outdoor spaces of Paichai University. The following are some of the major areas in the design of the outdoor spaces of Paichai University: 1) a main entrance space as a symbolic square, 2) Paichai central street, 3) a campus core as a greenish square, and 4) a 'Jajuro' plaza as Paichai 'Han' square. The outdoor spaces of Paichai university are created as a new type of campus realm with function, campus quality, original identity, symbolic meaning and images and beauty.

주택의 배치 및 평면의 변화를 중심으로 본 재래식 농촌주택의 근대화 과정에 관한 연구 - 경기도 용인군 용인읍 삼가 1,3리 마을 주택을 중심으로 - (The Process of Modernization of the Site Plan and Plan of Conventional Rural Houses - Based on the Houses in SamGa Village, YongIn County Kying-gi Province -)

  • The study is about the process of modernization of conventional rural houses in Kyung-gi province. It alms to identify the pattern of change, particularly focusing on the changes of the site plan and plan. The site of study is Samga Village, in YongIn County, near Seoul. The study discusses the process of modernization during the three decades from 1960 to 1980. The basic information was obtained through field research and site analysis, and the study relies predominatly on observational and statistical analysis. Four developmental stages can be clearly identified which are ; (1) Traditional type, (2)Modified-traditional type, (3) Saemaul type, and (4) The type of urban houses. The analysis was done through identification of changing site plan and plan. It is interesting to note that the changes of these elements show a certain pattern of sequential steps which also can be classified according to the four developmental stages mentioned above. The pattern of site design was consistantly maintained while plan and building system became very different However, the process of modernization of Korean rural houses was the process of producing a certain type of architecture that is not universal but uniquely Korean.

웅진단 발굴에 따른 사당의 평면구성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the shrine plan composition from the Ungjindan excavation works)

  • This study is to reveal the periodical form of the 4 staged building sites with the size and the site composition of the master plan and floor plan of the Ungjindan (altar) from the Ungjindan excavation works in 2011. In order to project the research results aiming to the purpose of the study, the basic study was done with collecting data about shrine architecture for its architectural characteristics and case studies with ancestral facilities such as the Ak hae dok (national-level ancestral ritual to the big mountain, ocean and river) to understand the exact form of the site plan and architectural composition elements through the general information and excavation status. In addition, with the current situation and information from the excavation works the planned measurement scale will be calculated in inference for the size of the construction by stages and speculate the floor plan composition of the shrine architecture.

오송 생명과학단지 조경설계 (Landscape Design of Osong Biohealth Technopolis Institute)

  • This landscape design proposal was presented to a design competition for Osong Biohealth Technopolis Institute of Cheongwon Gun Chung Cheong Buk Do which was held by Ministry of Health and Welfare in March 2004. The site is located in. Osong Li, Kang Wei Myun, Cheonwon Gun, Chung Cheong Buk Do and has an area of $402,600m^2$. The judging criteria for landscape design set by the client could be articulated as follows: an environment friendly design respecting the surrounding environment, a functionally efficient site plan by clustering buildings with similar uses, a site plan having 'front yard' by locating buildings in rear areas toward existing 'groves'. The proposal set the main design concept of this project as 'clustering'. By doing that, existing grades and plants can be saved, buildings with similar uses can be clustered, huge 'front yard' as a symbolic image of this project can be achieved, and finally many small open spaces for everyday life can be designed accordingly.

일제강점기 '공통형' 군청사의 배치 유형과 유형별 증·개축 경향 (Site-Plan Types of Common Design's Goon Office Buildings and their Addition & Remodeling in Japanese Colonial Period)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 일제강점기 공통도면을 사용해 계획된 군청사에 대해 본가-부속가 연결방식을 기준으로 그 배치유형을 정리하고 각 유형별 증 개축 방향을 고찰하는 것이다. 우선, 디지털이미지로 제공되는 국가기록원 소장 1910년대 작성된 군청사 관련 건축도면을 분석하여 공통형 군청사의 배치유형 세 가지를 확인하고, 기타 자료를 통해 두 가지 배치유형을 추가발굴한다. 이어서, 각 배치유형을 본가-부속가 연결방식을 기준으로 세분한 후 그 증 개축경향을 정리한다. 연구방법은 군청사 관련 건축도면 디지털이미지, 그 해제, 조선총독부와 각 도가 주고받은 문서, 신문과 잡지의 기사 도면 사진 등을 분석하는 문헌연구방법이다. 공통형 군청사의 다섯가지 배치유형은 13가지로 세분되고, 각 세분된 유형에서 증 개축은 각 부지의 지형 형상 기타 사정에 따라 달랐지만, 본가는 신축 및 증 개축 상황에서 항상 전면 중앙에 위치하여 관청사로서 상징성과 중심성을 유지하려는 노력은 일관된다. 공통형 군청사의 계획은 1930년대 초반까지도 꾸준히 이어진다.

수도 서울에서 정부종합청사의 입지와 건립 (Site and Erection of the Government Complex Seoul in Capital Seoul)

  • This study examines the site and erection of the Government Complex Seoul which was a project attempted to assemble dispersed government buildings in a certain place. The study focuses on the fact that the project is situated between the 1960s' making of capital Seoul and Seoul urban planning, and the way how the project achieved symbolism in capital Seoul. The project, one of the 1960s' Major Government Buildings, led both plan of capital Seoul and transforming city Seoul. The 1960s' Major Government Building Plan had identical drive with the 1950's Major Government Building Plan, however the 1960s' had additional layer: Seoul urban planning. After restoration of the Capital building, Sejongro the capital street was planned to the site arranging government offices. The Government Complex Seoul was set to be a modern building on a site with historical context according to the plan. Because of the site, the Government Complex Seoul was constructed in aware of other buildings that represented a competitive high-rise atmosphere in the late 1960s, including the Capital building nearby. PAE International's plan was completed through a series of design modification, and it boasted a vertical aspect, unlike the horizontal-looking plan that was already won after the design competition. The Government Complex Seoul tried to acquire the symbolism in the central space of the capital Seoul and high-rised city Seoul. "The new construction method" was a requirement to achieve the height.

이터 초전도자석 전원공급장치 현장 설치현황 및 시운전 계획 (KO AC/DC Converter System Installation Status and Commissioning Plan at ITER Site)

  • The construction of the ITER tokamak machine is ongoing at a 77% process rate to achieve the first plasma in 2025. The 18 sets of power supply systems comprising 400 MVA thyristor AC/DC converters for the superconducting magnets supplied by Korea (KO) are being installed with other systems, such as PF converters (China), DC busbars (Russia), and cooling water systems (India), in two buildings (Europe). The system interfaces have been defined during the design stage, and the systems have been manufactured. However, during the on-site installation work, several installation and integration issues emerged due to the manufacturing tolerance and design mistakes. To continue the installation and testing, the engineers of each system resolved the interface issues, planned the commissioning, and integrated the test plan. This paper describes the on-site installation status and issues and the commissioning plan of KO AC/DC converters.

  • The contemporary society needs complex space for multiple function. Interior space plan should suggest the solution of the narrow site and process for multiple function through showing the examples of other functional spaces. The purpose of this study is choosing an express station which has wide site and cultural exchange function, while it is not used for specific function and then the waiting room of station adapted for cultural and multiple functional space.
